Little Red Tree House on the Little Red River on 8 Private Acres with Large Dock

Have you ever been to a place at night where the stars were so close you felt like you could reach out and touch them? Where you can wake up to the sounds of a running mountain river? If you’re lucky you just might see a great Bald Eagle swoop down from the cliffs. Well, if you want to go some place where nature, quiet, and privacy is important. Then you’ve got to visit the Little Red Tree House on the beautiful Little Red River. Near Heber Springs, Ar., Located in the exclusive Wildflower Subdivision nestled up against the cliffs of the Spring Mountains.

Just think, your own 8 acres and over 200 yards of riverfront. Our dock sits on a hole for pole fishing. We are also 25 yards up river from the famous Libby Shoals, which is absolutely fantastic for fly-fishing.

We have free WIFI and TV with Apple TV.
We offer 4 bedrooms with 2 full bathrooms in a spacious 2500 sq. foot home with massive wrap around deck and 8 acres for complete privacy.

The Little Red River is 32 miles of world-class trout stream and home of the world record German Brown Trout (40 lb 4 oz). Four species of trout can be caught - Rainbows, Browns, Cut-throats and Brookies. At the Little Red, you can fly-fish, use artificial lures or live bait. Drive about ten minutes and you are at Greers Ferry Lake. This clean, clear-water 40,000 acre lake is home of the world record Walleye (22 lb 11 oz) and Hybrid Striped Bass (27 lb 5 oz).

The lake also serves as a playground for all kinds of water sports. Eighteen parks around the shoreline provide modern campgrounds, boat launches, swim areas and marinas. Fantastic diving in the crystal clear waters of Greers Ferry Lake.

Hot tub: 4 person limit. Children must be accompanied by adult.. No pets in hot tub. Security deposit forfeited if pet hair found in hot tub.

Peaceful and Beautiful Home and Property

We rented this property because we wanted to be on the river and take our 2 dogs. The location was perfect, the size of the home and outside deck were perfect, and the gigantic front yard is great for dogs to play (supervised, not fenced). The house was spotless and the kitchen was stocked with anything a family could possibly need. There is a large nice private dock on the river with seating and a boat slip accessed by platform steps leading down from the house to the dock. My husband grilled every night and loved the charcoal grill (even though there is also a gas grill). The host was always quick to respond to questions. We even had an incident with a wasp and the host contacted maintenance. Maintenance showed up within the hour and not only brought wasp spray, but he took the extra time and found a wasp nest that he took care of immediately. I really can't say enough good things about this property and host. Absolutely Wonderful Vacation!

Property is Beautiful

Beautiful property, however… this was not my best stay. With a group of six there was not ample paper towel and toilet paper… the gas grill caught fire because the grease trap was not cleaned prior to our stay, Our stay was interrupted by Neighbors/and maintenance people. I booked this property 3+ months in advance and did not expect interruptions. Any maintenance should have been taken care of prior to our stay. I am truly disappointed that I am having to write this scathing review, as I never have before. However I want the property owners to know the truth. Thank you for your attention.

Family Time

Always a pleasure staying at this location. The property is perfect for a large family. Family played kickball in the field and caught several fish. We look forward to staying at this location every year.

Perfectly beautiful

The best vacation rental ever. Everything was so nice and beautiful. This place really does have everything. My granddaughters loved the attic room, hot tub and wide open play space. The dock and water is absolutely perfect. Set up so that you have everything at your disposal.

Great weekend

This property is simply amazing. This the second time we stayed there and we will stay there next year too. The only suggestion I would give is the stairs leading down to the dock needs hand rails all the way down and since I’m 65 years old I was nervous about falling

As advertised

We stayed four nights and it wasn’t enough! The view is every bit as amazing as the picture, in fact the picture doesn’t do it justice. The property is clean, well maintained, and has everything you will need for relaxing stay. Suzie is an an awesome host who is as hands on as she needs to be or as hands off as you want. She responds promptly and professionally to every need and even gave us a list of suggestions for local cuisine. The only thing she can’t do is make the fish bite 😁. We we’re not very lucky in that department but enjoyed ourselves tremendously anyway and will most likely be back for another visit and yes I would recommend this cozy little cabin to friends and family.

Great getaway

This was our second time to stay at the little red treehouse. We had a great time. Did a fly fishing trip with Rouse Flyfishing. Such a great property, in a quiet neighborhood on the river. Will stay again!

OUTSTANDING SETTING

I have stayed at several places on the Little red river. And hands down, this is by far the best overall setup. It was clean and had EVERYTHING we needed. The covered area is the perfect place to just relax. Everything worked perfectly and we will book it for next year as well. And the dock was set up with everything that you need to enjoy sitting and fishing. THANKS for the great experience!!!

Relaxing get away

The home and location were both good . Very roomy inside and outside . Only disappointment was there were not tv in bedrooms as listed and a couple barstools in dining area would be nice. We enjoyed our stay there

Great Cabin

Very accurate description - stocked with loads of kitchen appliances. Great dock to fish from. We had 6-8 staying there at night. During the weekend we did have many family come during the day for a mini family reunion. I verified this was ok with the owners ahead of time. They were very welcoming and gracious hosts. Like any property owner they just want to know their guests will care for and respect their property. If you like to fish, this will be a great cabin year round. They even have an outdoor fire pit area. Was too hot during our stay to use in August, but looks awesome for the other seasons. The only negative was the A/C did struggle in the hottest part of the day but it was 103-107 while we were there. So its kind of expected. To cool off, go down to the dock and fish from the shade.

Perfect getaway

I loved that the house was on a large private area with plenty of trees surrounding it. The front was gorgeous and had enough parking for plenty of cars. We were provided with more than we needed. Extra towels, blankets, board games, even a spice rack. The deck on the river was a huge bonus. Would definitely visit again, given the chance. 😊

Great relaxation & fishing!

Beautiful home & one of the cleanest we’ve rented. Plenty of dishes, towels, seating, linens, etc for a group. The kitchen has all the pots & pans & cooking utensils you need, plus many small appliances (crock pot, ice cream maker, blender, etc). The fishing was good, but it was really hot. So that slows them down a little. We only fished from sunrise until maybe 9am due to the heat. We caught average of about 2-3 per day in that short time, which was enough for dinner each night, so we were happy with that! The dock is huge & perfect for fishing or accessing boats/kayaks. There is a pretty major highway across the river. You can’t really see the cars, thanks to a heavy tree line. You may be able to see more traffic in the winter, due to no leaves being on the trees. The traffic sound can get loud when you’re on the fishing dock. But you don’t hear it at all from inside the house or from the decks/yard. The yard/land that the house is on is in a super quiet neighborhood, at the end of a street. We may have seen 2-3 cars the entire duration of our stay (a week). So it feels very private & secluded. The hot tub on the deck is a perfect place to relax & enjoy the view of the river & the bluff. There are TVs in the living room & in the downstairs bedroom. They have Apple TV, so we were able to login to our streaming accounts, which was great! They also did have some streaming services logged in, so you could watch theirs. The internet worked great!

Relaxing Weekend

We are from Hutchinson, Kansas, and we met our grown kids who live in Kansas City and South Carolina for a relaxing weekend. The neighborhood was peaceful with lots of wildlife--we saw deer almost every time we drove in and out of the neighborhood. We did a little hiking at some of the local trails and brought our own kayak for a few trips out on the river. It was rainy one afternoon, so we took advantage of the hot tub--it worked great! We ate out for all of our meals, but the kitchen seemed very well stocked. We were not terribly impressed with the restaurants in the area, but nothing was bad. El Rey was our favorite and we enjoyed the meals recommended from the welcome guide. The only negative for the location of the house was the sound of the highway on the other side of the river--you can't really see the cars but you can definitely hear it when everything else is quiet. We did have some minor problems with our cell service when we arrived, but when we attached to the property's wifi, everything worked fine.

Great place!!!

Enjoyed our stay, house is very clean and comfortable. There's plenty of wildlife around.... red fox, deer, box turtles, groundhogs. The water was high my entire trip, 1 generator running. When water is high, use worms. When no generators are running, use pink power bait. Also enjoyed the hot tub very much!!!!!

Perfection

We stay in VRBO’s approximately 3 times a year and your place has been by far one of, if not the best. Everything was spotless when we arrived. Cleanup was a breeze when we left today. Hot tub was huge, by far the largest one we have had at any of our stays. “Although the cleaning girl scared the bejeezus out of me when she came to service the hot tub Friday” fishing on the river was great from the dock. Was nice that we didn’t have to worry about the dogs falling into the water. Caught a handful of fish that the dogs were amused with. 8 acres was more than enough for the dogs to give it a four paws up rating! The wrap around porch was an added bonus. Plenty of room for everyone to relax. Spent the week without watching tv and basically unplugged from the rest of the world. We did watch one movie Friday before we left but other than that the quietness and solitude was exactly what we needed. Thanks again for everything.
