This home was really nice. Very clean, updated bathrooms and kitchen. Well equipped kitchen. Comfy beds. Secluded and quiet, but just a short drive to trails and shopping. Host was very responsive. She even dropped off a pair of binoculars for us to use. We really enjoyed our stay.
We loved everything about the house-the location was ideal and the house perfect for our group of 4 adults and 2 teens. We all agreed that if we can come back, we will!
This place is huge. My family and I stayed here for 4 days, it was seven of us. There is plenty of room to hangout, an outside area big enough for games too. Close drive to Bar Harbor, and plenty of good places to eat nearby. I highly recommend staying here for big groups.
The house was amazing. Honestly, it’s even better than the pictures. It had everything we could have ever needed.
The tidal pond in the back was great as were the sunsets. We couldn’t picked a better house for our group for a Maine getaway!

The property was absolutely beautiful and even better than the pictures! My husband and 3 kids and I really enjoyed our stay, and the view is so peaceful. Stacy was wonderful. We hope to stay again sometime!
Property was beautiful inside and out. Provided us a wonderful place to spend time together and close to great outdoor areas. Stacy was great in responding to any questions we had.
Wonderful property that exceeded our expectations.
We were very pleased when we walked in the door of this special home at this very special location. The house had plenty of room for our family of 8. It was very clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
The home was absolutely beautiful with 3 large bedrooms, each with their own bathroom! The two upstairs bedrooms had wonderful sunrooms which was a great place to start the day with a cup of coffee. The home was well stocked with everything you could possibly need! The landscaping was absolutely gorgeous with flowering trees and bushes and lots of privacy. We totally enjoyed the tidal pool. Sitting by the water was so peaceful. I truly hope to come back and stay here again!
We arrived to a beautiful location on the water, clean and pristine gardens and a warm and welcoming house that immediately felt like home. From the grandparent to the four year old, everyone found their nook and corner. The hosts were most accommodating and the location ideal for anyone who wants peace and quiet but in driving proximity to all the must see sights. We hope to come back again. Thank you to our wonderful hosts. The Hadi Family
The house had a perfect setting. The house was well equipped for cooking & relaxing. The grounds were filled with wonderful plants & shrubs--like a magazine. All great!
Home was absolutely beautiful. Location was great.
We enjoyed our stay. It was myself, husband, my sister and my 93 year old dad. It was perfect for him. All his rooms on 1st floor. We were visiting my daughter and her husband and our new granddaughter and we were 10 minutes from them. It was wonderful.
This house was in a great location being 30 minutes from the Visitor Center at Acadia. We loved being close to Southwest Harbor for restaurants and activities. The house itself was wonderful. We loved sitting outside on the deck each morning and evening along with the enclosed sunroom. Everything needed was provided especially in the kitchen. We even saw deer on the property. We would happily stay here again!
We enjoyed the location: close to Echo Lake and associated hiking, nice roads for running (ran on the fire road also) Fun places to get groceries and meals nearby.
House was outfitted with everything we needed, and everyone slept well.
Loved watching the tide!
We communicated to the owner that we would arrive in the middle of the night - arrived to find all of the lights on in the house so we could find bedrooms and bathrooms quickly and safely - we really appreciated that!
Incredibly large & well taken care of property. Loved the landscaping and outdoor space for quiet sitting time and fun with our almost 2 yr old grandchild. Everything is thought of in this home. Many extras! Appreciated games too. Pretty decor. Separate spaces for each. Liked the doors to "porch/eating area" which mimimized noise early am time. Windows on all sides for view & upstairs rooms were a 10+!! Enjoyed meals in wonderful kitchen! Southwest Harbor was close...plenty of trails & great little restaurants there & within 5-10 min. Bar Harbor an easy drive & fun picturesque town. Definitely recommend this home. You will love it!! Hope to come back!!
We loved everything about our stay! The home was absolutely beautiful and had everything we needed and more! This trip was just my husband and I and our two daughters, 10 and 7, even though we had originally thought my parents might be coming with us. It would've accommodated all of us for sure, but was very roomy for just the 4 of us. Our girls loved staying in the two bedrooms downstairs that kind of connect and make their own special space, and my husband and I had one of the two beautiful rooms upstairs. We loved having those upstairs porches- they were perfect for sunsets and stargazing!
Our kids loved going out on the rocks and venturing into the tidal cove when they could- lots of snails and crabs to observe! And we loved that the water was right there out our window- the breezes coming in off the water were lovely.
All four of us can't wait to stay here again, and we definitely will!
This is an amazing property with a large yard on the inlet/bay. We had three kids with us, ages 8, 10, and 16. We had fun playing wiffle ball, football, jenga, etc in the yard. The house has two great suites (king and queen) on the 2nd floor, plus two bedrooms on the first floor. Each room has a tv. Large kitchen with chairs around island and large dining table that we used each morning for breakfast. Echo Lake was near by and the kids swam in the lake - water felt great. About 20 minutes from Bar Harbor, which was not a bad drive. Hikes at Sand Beach, Thunder Hole, Cadillac Mountain, Jordan Pond, and Flying Mountain Loop in Acadia were the spots we went too. We stayed for 3 full days, which was not enough time - need a whole week to see everything. Stacy was so great to work with and very responsive. Could not ask for a better host. My husband told me to reserve for next year already.
The place exceeded our expectations. It's lovely and roomy for our group of 6, especially the 2 rooms upstairs. The common area was also nice and the view was beautiful even though it mostly rainy during our stay.
We had a wonderful time on our trip. The house was even bigger and nicer than we expected. It was very clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
We visit the Mt. Desert Island area almost every year, and had not previously stayed in a private home. Our host provided a pack and play for our 15 m/o and our teenager got a beautiful big room with a private bath and viewing porch all to herself. This is probably the way we will stay in the area moving forward as it provides great comfort and flexibility.
Property had a beautiful view of the harbor, lush grass, beautifully manicured gardens, even a peach tree with plenty of fruit for the kids to enjoy.
There were many areas to sit, both indoors and out to enjoy the view. There was a gas grill, a coffee maker, great kitchen with the utensils and dishes required for our breakfasts and snacks and certainly for preparing full meals.
A lot of work has been out into this property and it shows.
Washer and dryer are new and everything is newly renovated. A/C and easy to open windows. Smart TVs and internet.
Very convenient to Southwest Harbor and Acadia, and very private and quiet.
Our only wish is that we had booked more than three nights and there was a little less rain during our stay so we could have enjoyed the grounds more.
Host, Stacy, was very responsive and professional.
Note: Bring toilet paper and paper towel if you plan to stay more than a night or two.
The property exceeded our expectations. Luxury for the extended family. Ideal for elderly parents with two bedrooms, bath, and laundry on the first floor. Great view into Bass Harbor with tidal waters at the edge of the property that attract seabirds and Herons.
Mount Dessert Island is a lovely location for a summer vacation if you enjoy seafood and the outdoors. Rental was located in a nice quiet area with near by access to a small grocery store and multiple restaurants. House is beautiful, well furnished and has a great yard for poutdoor activities.
