Flexible and easy

We had our travel plans change a number of times due to snow (and lots of it!). Michael was very understanding and definitely flexed with our ever changing arrival time.

The home smells musty. Back deck is not welcoming. Covered in nuts and sticks. Outdoor furniture Flimsy and dirty. Beds and furniture are comfortable. Kitchen is lacking frying pans. The pans they do have are old. Towels are old and worn.

Had to go to a hotel

First appearance of property was that it is not being tended to. Entering the house we could smell the mustiness, further inspection of kitchen produced the rancid smell of drainage issues. House was definitely staged for VRBO pictures than left to go uncared for. Will be requesting reimbursement, how convenient that owner does not contact via message board. Should have been our first indication that this was not an owner providing a service but only a way to make money

Charleston getaway

The house is clean, no problems. Everything worked well. Recommended anybody wants to stay for a couple days in Charleston and I have to stay at a hotel.

Not quite comfy

Overall the house was fine, but it didn’t feel exactly clean. It’s definitely dated. The area around the balcony door seems to be rotting, under the kitchen sink was unfinished and creeped me out a bit. Additionally, the downstairs bathroom seemed to have some sort of mold in the tub. The towels and wash cloths were very old. It was difficult to be comfortable because it didn’t really feel like an escape.
