About this property

Adirondack Lake Front Cottage

Americade and Fireman's Convention take note!!!
It's a little slice of heaven nestled on the banks of the Hudson
River in the Adirondack Region of Upstate New York. With easy access
to the Adirondack Northway, it is conveniently located one exit from
Lake George and is a short 15 minute drive to Saratoga Springs and its
infamous race track. With nearly six acres of private woodlands,
babbling brooks and exquisite views of the mountains, this unique
setting is truly a special hide-a-way that will enchant and relax all
visitors. The bank of the river is just a few short steps from the
porch and beckons to be joined by boat, canoe, kayak, or a daring
dive into the crystal clean water. Wildlife of all species abounds in
its natural habitat unspoiled by intruders and protected forever by
the Adirondack Trust. It is truly a private, enchanting environment
and playland for a family vacation with something to do for everyone
and every interest.

Cottage Amenities: Private beach, barbeque, outdoor bonfires, peddle boat, row boats , canoes and kayaks all included with your rental. The cottage is located right on the
banks of the Hudson River, fully equipped with full kitchen, stove,
refrigerator, one bathroom with shower, and screened porches. The
cottage sleeps up to seven people and has one bedroom with full bed downstairs and upstairs sleeping with three twins in the loft. There is also one pull out sofa bed in the main living room. All towels and linens are
provided.

Additional Amenities: We have Streaming Roku TV, radio, and DVD/VCR. We have electric heat and fans for heating and cooling. We have AC but you will not need it. The evenings are delightful and we have ceiling fans to keep you cool and optional air conditioning. The cottage is part of a private parcel and not associated
with a camp or resort. It is secluded but close enough to all kinds of entertainment and outdoor sports facilities, and amusements. We have
a private beach, barbeque facilities (both gas and charcoal), a firepit for your evening bonfires, and outdoor furniture and picnic tables for you to
enjoy. We have one peddle boat, two rowboats, two canoes, and six kayaks
available for your use during your stay. The river is not rough at all and the cottage is situated on a private cove which opens to a large lake-like area (see photos). It is clean and abounds
with fish if you like to fish. We have hiking trails, bike trails,
swimming, and virtually every kind of outdoor activity you might like
within 5-10 minutes of the property.

A Nice Get Away

It is a nice family cottage with character. The kayaking was relaxing. Pretty spot right near the water. Enjoyed having a camp fire a few of the nights. Our host was helpful and kind.

Very nice property. Beautiful river, peace and quiet.

Excellent. We spent our time attending the Adirondack Balloon Fest. Only 20 minutes away. Down time spent row boating, fishing and games. Would go back again!!!

Wonderful Hidden Gem

Great cottage tucked away from the hustle and bustle yet close to everything! Perfect views of State property across the river, so no noise, lights, or bothers day or night. David provides enough boats/kayaks/gear so all five of us could be on the water together. Very relaxing experience.

Nice rustic getaway

My family enjoyed our stay. It seems like you’re on your own island. Couldn’t beat the fishing, boats, kayaks, etc. all within steps of the cottage. The view was stunning and an all around relaxing vacation. Close enough to all attractions and far away enough from the crowds. My teen also rates the internet speed A++.

What a beautiful cottage right on the water

Location location location. This cottage was perfect.Peaceful, but also very close to shopping for last minute essentials. Puppies loved the water, and the sunsets were stunning from the enclosed porch. The owner was wonderful for responding to questions and was so welcoming to his home, and telling us the history of the cottage. We can't wait to return.

Relaxing!!

Our stay at the cabin was relaxing! The kayaking was awesome. It was more like a lake than the Hudson River. We saw tons of wildlife, even saw a Bald Eagle!! Location is wonderful, so close to everything. We went horseback riding and did the rail bikes at revolution rail in North Hudson. David, the owner, was really great! Very friendly and attentive. It was a pleasure meeting him and hearing stories about the cabin. We hope to come back soon!

Had to leave do to cockroaches.

On the second day I saw a cockroach crawl out from under the toaster and my friend found one in the bathroom. David the property owner apologized for the roaches. He offered to give me a refund but to date has not followed through.

Peaceful and Relaxing!

This cottage was exactly what my family and I were looking for. The setting is beautiful as well as secluded. Our 5 year old enjoyed swimming in the lake by day and making s'mores by night :) David is very pleasant and hospitable, ensuring we had everything we needed including fresh batteries for the fishing boat we rented, firewood for the campfire, and propane for the gas grill. He also brought down a whole collection of outside toys such as frisbees and badmitton. The inside of the cottage is quaint, but has everything you would need in a home. We will definately be looking to stay at this cottage in the future!

Great getaway spot

My husband and I brought our two small pups and we had a terrific time. The cabin had everything we needed. We brought our own groceries and cooked dinner on the gas grill every night. The location of this cabin is awesome. Rowboat, canoes, kayaks and a peddle boat were steps away. We enjoyed sitting around the fire pit overlooking the beautiful river, mountains and abundant wildlife. The cabin has a fantastic porch which also provides for a gorgeous view. We had such a great time and we hope to return next year. David, the owner is so nice and helpful. He is a phone call away if you need anything. David, thanks for sharing your private slice of paradise with us! Regards, Dana, Dennis, Delilah & Cody

This is the definition of a true cabin.

This is our second time staying at the cabin and will not be our last. It is just perfect in that you have amazing isolation, but also very close to necessities if needed. David is so warm and inviting, best host that we have ever stayed with. We love hearing about the history of the cabin. The cabin is very clean and stocked with everything that is needed for your stay. David is just a phone call away for any issues, but we had none. The hill to get to the cabin is unbelievable. The first time that we went down the road, we thought that it might have been a wrong turn, but no, just super steep. Just doing it a few times and you won't even think about it. This year one bedroom and the bathroom were updated from our last stay. Updates are wonderful. Can't wait for next year!

Quintessential Summer Vacay Spot

The property and the host are wonderful. Place is well equipped and very comfortable. Great view. Newbies to the area, David was a friendly and very knowledgeable guide and info source. The paddling was very good. The beaver dam and lodge is a must see and a lil ways upriver for the beaches and access to trails. We identified 16 different bird species, two frog, two turtle, one toad, three squirrel, three butterfly and two moth, beaver, sunfish, lg and smmouth bass. A >20" Northern Pike jumped three separate times just off the dock! Saratoga Natl Historic Battlefield was a special and even reverent visit. Day hikes at Lake George and a visit to Bolton Landing; recommend the BLBrewery. All very close to the cabin. Thank you David, hope to see you again.
