The historic neighborhood was charming, quiet, safe, and conveniently located near trains and buses. The house has plenty of space, is attractively decorated, clean, and very comfortable. The kitchen is not well stocked for anything but very basic cooking but Stephanie was helpful in letting us know this before traveling and we were able to bring what we needed from home. We are looking forward to a future stay!
Great location, Beautiful neighborhood and quiet. The host was available before and doing our stay. The home was spacious, and very clean. It's a old historical home locate in a historical area. We enjoy sitting on the back. I would stay there again

Ants from hell
Before we arrived we was given the code to enter the property, but when we arrived the code was not correct, so we had to wait outside until the property manager to send us correct code.
The second night we was there we started seeing some ants in the bedroom that my wife and I was staying in, so we contacted the property manager again, and she had her husband come out with some ant spray, and we thought that it would have been the end of it. The third night we started seeing ants in another room.
This time it was a lot more ants that ended up getting into my wife’s purse, and suitcase. I called the property manager again, and her husband showed up again the next day with somebody that sprayed the rooms. That fourth night we saw more ants in another room, so this made ants in three separate rooms on three separate nights.
With the second night being the worse of the three. After that third night I contacted the property manager who told me that they had issues with ants in the past, and that she was going to refund me one night stay for the inconvenience, but she never did.
I was there attending my fathers funeral, and was having to deal with this. So you stay here at your risk. Oh, by the way I have pictures and videos of the ants.
Very spacious rowhouse with a fenced backyard. Quiet neighborhood that is fun to walk around and close to the electric train line that runs downtown. Kitchen was not very well stocked so keep that in mind while planning food to make during your stay.
Property & neighborhood was peaceful, LOVED! the patio. The home itself was most definitely historic, a beautiful look into the past, loved the little features it had. The backyard could be maintained more, kept up more. But otherwise, we enjoyed our stay, I would recommend this to someone else.
Beautiful home with lots of space. Very comfortable beds. Neighborhood was really nice and friendly. Beautiful back patio. Perfect stay for a bigger group!
This was a beautiful property situated in a very nice neighborhood with a wonderful host! I would definitely recommend Stephanie if you are visiting Chicago

Nice stay, communication issues
We didn’t receive directions on how to check in or where to find the key. Some neighbors helped us contact the owner and we ended up being able to get in. She called later and apologized. Once we were in the place was lovely and well maintained. I would recommend staying, just make sure you get check-in information ahead of time.
We were in town for a race, and this house allowed a few people to stay there but enough room that we could have our equipment with us. Host was very responsive and tried their best to accommodate any way possible. We really enjoyed our stay
We were fortunate to come during Pullman Days. It was nice to see the old train cars and model A cars. Lots of friendly people.
House located easily to Metra station to head to the city. Liked the quietness of the neighborhood.
Host was kind,She responded every time I had a question.
The house was clean with a few minor issues. There were ants in several part of the house that were annoying, even some found in the master bedroom where I slept but could have gotten there from me picking my bag up from the floor, I did switch rooms, because it was a four bedroom home. And there wasn’t any found there, but other places like the kitchen and living room.Overall my stay was okay but those ants geesh, I mean Stephanie was an amazing host just needs minor work done to her rental unit.
Stay here was great! The house is beautiful, very well put together. The only issue I had was that there seemed to be animal hair on the beds so we did wash them all before sleeping. Other than that the house was very clean. The location was perfect, very quiet neighborhood! Would definitely stay again.

Stay
She tried to tax me 3k for smell and cleaning that I could’ve cleaned and aired outs. My party didn’t listen and did smoke. I had an emergency to tend to so I couldn’t control everything I understand it’s her home but she barged I’m no warning no knock like I could’ve been naked no privacy no communication
I loved this property and the niegbors. We came in for Riot Fest and it was a great experience. The only negative aspect is the metra rail from Douglas park in the late hours is spotty but other than that if you are planning a day trip into Chicago then the metra is a brief 5 minute walk from the house. Stephanie was a great host and very attentive. I will be booking this house for my next riot fest trip for sure.
