Place was so cold, heat did not sufficiently heat the place at all. Space heaters did not either. We froze to death and did not sleep. Little to no hot water & plugs in did not work upstairs. Owner would not even message me back about the issues. Such a disappointment on my skiing weekend trip with my kids.
The property description didn’t say they’re was a hill to get down to the house. The first morning we were there, we had to shovel for 4 hours to get our cars up the driveway. It would have been nice if they’re was a description of this or a recommendation of having 4WD. Secondly only took a couple showers because the water was yellow and smelt awful. We smelt better before the shower then when we got out of the shower. The property also described a full back porch, but then we were told we couldn’t use it. The lady was nice but the driveway and the houses water was not ok.
Happy it was only for 1 night. While the property is beautiful it has some serious AC/Heat issues. The upstairs was miserable and the downstairs cold regardless of how we adjusted the thermostat. The dead mouse at the front door was interesting and not sure how whomever cleaned prior to us didn’t see it. The light outside is on a sensor and went off all night. There are blackout curtains in the room which help. Overall nice for one night but not sure we would have been ok more than that.
We enjoyed an overnight stay. House was clean and organized. We were able to cook dinner at the house and all cooking utensils were supplied. Sleeping arrangements were comfortable.
House was difficult to locate at night. I would suggest check in in the daylight if you can

This is a beautiful property! It looked brand new and was extremely clean. It felt very private and spacious. The bed was comfortable and we will definitely be back! It is centrally located to all the activities and places in Boone and Blowing Rock.
