With its sweeping views of the Columbia River and Rowena Canyon, this striking four-bedroom cabin is ideal for your next family-friendly vacation. The peaceful, six-acre property is home to a variety of wildlife and is great for watching large birds of prey gliding on the cliff updrafts right in front of the house! The area is also known for its hiking, fishing, watersports, fruit farms, and wineries, and is a short drive from the shopping and restaurants of Hood River.

You'll fall in love with the main level's floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the river, as well as its high vaulted ceilings, comfy furnishings, and all-wood interior. The flatscreen TV will stream your favorite Netflix movies and shows whenever you need a break from the river, and the central AC will cool the home down on hot summer afternoons.

The full kitchen is the dream of any family chef, with stainless steel appliances that include a French-door refrigerator and a dishwasher, a center prep island, and lots of storage and counter space. The kids can enjoy your home-cooked meals from the three barstools and the wood dining table has seating for up to 10 guests. Outside, you'll find a fully enclosed wrap-around deck equipped with a new six-person hot tub, a large gas grill, and plenty of outdoor seating.

Use the high-speed WiFi to listen to some good music or research a new local adventure. After a day out and about, the private washer/dryer will easily knock out everyone's dirty laundry while you take the family dogs out for a good walk. When it's time to call it a night, you'll have four bedrooms to enjoy and the living room includes more sleeping accommodations for extra guests.

Amazing views
This house was perfect for our family with teenagers. We all had plenty of space and bathrooms. The large dining table with gorgeous views and a well-equipped kitchen made the perfect setting for family dinners. We did daily day trips and are in love with the area. We spent a day at Timothy Lake followed by a hiking day. White Water rafting with PDX Rafting company was such a highlight that we did it twice!

Our June 2024 Stay
First off, the views from this home are nothing short of amazing. You can sit in either the dining area or living room and enjoy 180 degree views of the Columbia River gorge. The views from the deck are even better. We spent a lot of time out there. The bedrooms and dedicated beds were all comfortable. There living room also has two folding sofas that serve as beds. Although usable, those were not as comfortable. There are two full bathrooms on the main level and one ensuite bath in the primary bedroom upstairs. The kitchen was well stocked and we didn't miss any essential items. All appliances are fairly new and in great working order. Lots of cookware, flatware, utensils and coffee mugs! One of the huge plusses of this property (other than the view) is that there is so much space indoors to spread out. And if the weather is good, you can expand to the deck as well. We had 6 people during our stay and never did we feel cramped. The only complaint (and this is minor) is that the ping pong table in the gameroom is actually a mini-table and not full-size. The property description does briefly mention this, but you can only get to the game room by going outside and walking to the lower level of the home. Overall, the property is very nice and well cared for. And again, the views are incredible. We would stay here again.

Can't wait to go back!
Recently visited with a group of gals. The place was clean, comfortable, and lovely! We kept commenting about how well-stocked everything was from the kitchen containing platters/baking dishes/spices/coffee/etc to the rooms with extra pillows/bedding/nightlights. We spent the mornings with coffee on the deck and evenings out there with a glass of wine. It's rare to find a vacation rental with a remote feel, beautiful view, and within 15min of great restaurants. Couldn't recommend this place enough and can't wait to go back!

Family Gathering
The Crow's Nest was the perfect place for a family gathering. The view from both the living room and kitchen is breathtaking and beckons you outside on the expansive deck to relax and enjoy being surrounded by nature and/or to enjoy the hot tub. The home features 4 comfortable bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and fold out couches with plenty of linens/towels. A well appointed kitchen with seating for 10 was a perfect gathering place at the end of the day. Come, nestle into the Crow's Nest and enjoy the peace and quiet. A week's stay was not long enough. We will definitely be back!

Great place!
The home was great and the view was even better! The house had everything we needed and it was nice and secluded. The kitchen was completely stocked with spices, utensils, and coffee that was not expected but greatly appreciated! Our only concern was some wasp we found the first night. We found about 8 wasp in bedrooms and the kitchen the first night we were there. After that we didn’t have any problem. Overall would recommend 10/10!

Of all the homes we have rented for weekends or family trips, this is by far the cleanest, and best maintained home yet. This home is just like depicted in photos. The privacy and views are amazing.

Wonderful stay with gorgeous view
Loved the living space here. Deck, kitchen, and living space very spacious and accommodating for all of us. I really liked that there was stuff there to use--like salt, pepper, coffee, tea, oil to cook with--its very annoying when the basics are not provided. Tableware was very nice. There was also plenty of ice for drinks when we got there.

A Gem in the Gorge
Spent my birthday weekend here with a group of friends and family, and the property was incredible. Dogs were in absolute heaven and the views from the deck and the bluff were amazing. The house was clean and there was enough space for everyone to be comfortable throughout the weekend. Not sure if it was the time of year or the area, but there were a ton of bugs in the area that came into the house while we stayed there. I will note, the place was clean when we arrived and we didn't see any of said bugs when we checked in but they showed up during our stay. Regardless of the critters, we had a really enjoyable time and would highly recommend staying again at this sweet pad!

Beautiful home and location. Unfortunately, wasps in the hvac
Our group of 10 stayed here for two nights. The house was beautiful, and the view was truly stunning. Unfortunately, we encountered a wasp problem. The evening we arrived, we did a walk-through of the house and found everything was in acceptable working order. We did find a handful of wasps inside, but all were slow moving and near dead. The next day, we encountered a few more wasps, which was becoming disturbing. The worst was yet to come. It got quite cold that night, rapidly dropping below freezing at sunset. My friend walked into their room on the end of the hall and found 7 wasps crawling around. We quickly started gathering them up and disposing of them, but they didn't stop coming. We pulled back the bed and found one crawling on the bed, and a disgusting number of dead flies, wasps, and several live wasps all around the floor register. Under this bed we also found two stuck-together socks that can only be described as "crusty". Gross. We went on to find wasps in every bedroom. The rest of our evening was broken up by finding more to get rid of. We disposed of 30+ wasps in total. The following morning I messaged the manager, Vacasa, through VRBO but got no response. I called VRBO support when I got home, and they got a Vacasa rep on the line who denied having gotten any communications from us as if their technical failures were our fault. I have yet to receive any compensation for our weekend of pest-control duty while they "wait for a local manager".

Had a great time
The owners have really thought of everything and it was a beautiful view. I timed it and only took about 8 minutes outside Mosier but feels more remote than that in a good way. Do not follow Google maps directions.
