Welcome to 2643 Edgewater Escape, a family-friendly secluded getaway ready for your next vacation. Situated at the end of the road, Edgewater Escape offers both privacy and room to roam. This three bedroom, two bath lakefront chalet has something for everyone. The chalet offers a variety of watercraft and opportunities for outdoor relaxation, including a double hammock and swinging nest chair. The best part? An eight person hot tub and an outdoor shower. Across the street is the Grendel trailhead, so pack your hiking boots!

The first thing you'll notice when you pull up to this gorgeous a-frame chalet is expansive yard and deck, and stunning view of 8-acre Grendel Lake. Hoping for s'mores? We've got you covered with an outdoor firepit and marshmallow roasting sticks. Inside the chalet, you'll find a comfortable light-filled living area with lake views. The first floor of the chalet has a kitchen stocked for cooking, dining area, and a large, comfortable living area with a wood-burning fireplace. There is a bedroom with a king size bed, a bedroom with a double bed, and a full bathroom on the first floor. Sliding doors off of the living room open to the expansive deck with a gas grill and hot tub.

The second floor of the chalet features a third private bedroom with a queen bed. A twin over full bunk bed is in the loft area, with a curtain that closes to offer privacy. There is a second full bathroom on the upper level. This chalet is equipped with wifi. This chalet is pet-friendly, two dog maximum, no cats. There is a $55 per night pet fee.

Please note that we charge a one time property damage protection fee. This is actually a damage protection policy that protects you for up to $500 worth of coverage for any damages incurred because we know that accidents can happen.

Girls Trip

Great weekend with my friends. We loved the house with the lake view and large back patio. Beds were comfortable and everything was clean. A few things that we would like to pass on to the owner - the kitchen sink was dripping and we would have liked to have a casserole dish and larger bowls in the kitchen. Other than that, we had a great stay!

Great Weekend Getaway

We loved our weekend trip to Edgewater Escape. It was a perfect getaway to celebrate our anniversary. My wife is already talking about coming back with our kids when it is warmer and we can use the other amenities.

Great

The property was well maintained and clean. The view of the lake was amazing. We will definitely be returning. The only downside and it is a very minor thing in the grand scheme of things but we could not find the air pump to blow up the kayak. But we were able to use all other watercraft provided and had a wonderful time and stay. I highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway. It’s the best property we have stayed at Innsbrook so far

Wonderful week away

We enjoyed staying at this Innsbrook property. Innsbrook is always a favorite for our family, and this was no different. We had a few small issues that came up early on, but they were very promptly addressed and we felt like the communication with/by this company was great.

Great getaway to peaceful place

We had such a great week! Beautiful trees, big deck overlooking the lake, hot tub, grill, kayaks, fire pit -- we enjoyed hanging out with our kids and their friends. And our dog loved fetching tennis balls in the lake! The chalet was perfect in every way.

Great Getaway

We didn’t need anything but food and ourselves. They were very supplied for both indoor and outdoor fun. Lots of space. There are only 2 minor things. Currently there isn’t a store on the grounds so getting live bait and minor things took some time. There also isn’t a lot of dresser drawer space. Neither of these things were major issues. Will definitely come back!!

Hidden Gem

We loved our stay for spring break. Lake access and beautiful view were awesome. Cabin was well stocked. (kitchen, bathrooms, etc). Beds were really comfortable. Plenty of space for our family of 6. The extras like the hot tub, paddle boat, fishing rods, fire pit, swing made it a lot of fun for the kids. Close enough to St. Louis we took a day to do the outlet malls. Neighboring town where we went to eat a few times was also great. Servers, etc. always polite. We would definitely do this again. From looking at the Innsbrook info, definitely a lot to do in the summertime time too. A hidden gem that I'd highly reccommend.

Impromptu getaway

We booked a romantic weekend without the kids and just before our stay we got 8 in of snow. Management did a great job of reaching out to us to share that the roads at Innsbrook could be difficult - they were all plowed but we took it very slow (arrived after dark) and were glad we had a large 4WD vehicle. When we got there, the walk ways, deck and path to the hot tub were all shoveled. The chalet was cozy and perfect for our purposes. We’d love to go back!

Wonderful Christmas

My husband, 2 kids, and their significant others enjoyed 3 days of relaxation and celebrating the holidays. The hottub got a lot of use, the weather was perfect for a scenic stroll and the kitchen was fully equipped for delicious meals! Wish we had more time there. A sooner check-in would have been nice.

Great location.

We loved the location and the cabin. Beds and rooms were comfortable. There are great views of the dock and lake. Plenty of space to spread out. We loved that we had use of towels and firewood. Only 2 downsides was the size of the hot water heater—ran out of hot water after 2 showers. The kitchen had a lot of dishes, cups, containers. I do wish it had a few casserole dishes—we couldn’t find any. Nothing that ruined our stay—overall great time!

New Year stay

The house is perfect. The hot tub was a hit. Very clean and stocked with everything you would need. Only one small snag- I never received a check-in email. When I inquired about that, I was told to download the app, which I did. But unfortunately, I arrived at night to the house with no access code ( it was not located on the app as suggested). Took 20 minutes to find someone who could get me into the house. But, I understand it was a holiday week and covid seems to affect everything…. I would definitely rent again. Just make sure you receive a check in email.

Wonderful and relaxing stay

Property was exactly as described in listing. Very clean with easy access to private beach and dock. Outdoor shower was a huge perk. The kitchen was well stocked with essential cooking equipment. The deck and grill were wonderful as well. A storm went through the day that we arrived which caused telephone/internet issues. The property owners provide updates from the phone company often. It was nice to know someone was keeping an eye on the issue status for us! Looking forward to coming back!
