The Ledge House is a charming mid 19th century farmhouse situated below a large granite ledge in the village of Bay View in Gloucester, MA. The beauty of the Ledges is that it is 70 steps from a fantastic view of Ipswich Bay. Those renting the Ledges will have access to two private beaches, tennis courts, a playground and an island attached by a granite causeway. Gloucester is known for its breath taking ocean views, its artists, and its quaint villages and fun shopping. There are many restaurants, galleries, and museums along with whale watches, hiking, boating and swimming.

Come stay through the winter and spring!
Walks on quiet and lovely beaches, smell the cedar trees, and see the remnants of red sumac fruit. Early mornings you may see deer cavorting in the water, or a fox running across the beach. Turkeys may cross your yard. Wonderful walks to the Cove Bakery in Lanesville or stroll the shops in Rockport and Gloucester without fighting the summer crowds. The house is sheltered from the winds by a granite ledge, so you can stay cozy during the winters, but still be steps from the ocean view.
