Great location with a nice property manager. The owners, Debra and Daniel, were so helpful when the propane ran out. I gave 3 out of 5 stars for cleanliness- white dog hair everywhere when we checked in. I had to vacuum the cabin. Otherwise the cabin was a wonderful place to stay.
We loved our stay, it was nice and clean, plenty of room, kitchen was well stocked. I thought it got a little cold, even with the heat and fire going, but that might have just been a personal problem haha.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! We had everything we needed to enjoy a holiday weekend with family and friends in Duck Creek. We loved how quiet it was in the woods, yet all the comfortability of facilities and location! We'd stay here again!
This is a really nice location in Duck creek. Easy to get to, but you may want 4wd in the winter. House was very nice and spacious for our group (mil/fil, bil/sil, myself/spouse, 2 teenagers). I really appreciated the little fenced area on the side for the dog, and that the front porch has gates. It was a nice and relaxing stay. Couldn't get the TV in the living room to work with any of the remotes, but it wasn't an issue for us, we had plenty to do. Probably better that way! The owners were easy to communicate with so if we had an issue that required it, we could have reached out, but we didn't really feel the need. We would come back for sure.
Our stay at the DJ’s cabin was excellent. It was very comfortable and family friendly. The hosts were great to deal with and were extremely friendly and helpful.
If you want a quiet stay in the beautiful mountains of southern Utah I would highly recommend.
This cabin was dirty. Bed bugs found in 2 of the bedrooms. Two adults and 3 children had significant bites. Light fixture broken in one bedroom. 10 towels for 11 guests. Food found under beds and in dresser. Porch swing broken in one side. Porch railing not attached to cabin.
The home is beautiful. Big and well appointed. Dog run attached to deck allowed the dog outside without having to leash and standby. The kitchen had everything. Great little town of Duck Creek Village, between Zion and Bryce Canyon.
This was our second stay so obviously we feel at home at this cabin. Dan is very attentive with any questions or issues. It is difficult to get to the cabin in a storm even with 4W drive.
We had an amazing Thanksgiving stay at Daniel’s place. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our Turkey day feast. There was a sizable stack of wood on the porch, ready for the wood stove which we enjoyed while snow fell outside. A ton of board games and just the right amount of space for a family of 4 with younger kids and a family of 3 with a teen. And Daniel was very responsive and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was enjoyable. Great experience at DJ’s!
As a side note - the weather in Duck Creek Village seems a little unpredictable. Our group loved the wintry weather during our stay but even after monitoring the forecast before our trip, the 8 inches of snow was a surprise. We are accustomed to the snow where we live but even our 4WD could have used chains at one point to get up the hill to the cabin. And thank you to Daniel who had the driveway plowed immediately after it snowed which was very thoughtful and he even called to make sure we were doing okay!
Take home message is if you are traveling to Duck Creek in the winter, be prepared. Bring chains just in case and warm/snow clothes and boots. But it is totally worth it and you will be rewarded with a most gorgeous venue for cozy winter vibes a warm memories! (Even our teenager enjoyed the stay and wants to make it a tradition! 😆)
I recently enjoyed staying at this beautifully rustic cabin in Duck Creek Village, Utah. The location was perfect for our group, as we aimed to view the October 14, 2023, annular solar eclipse and visit nearby national parks
The cabin's wood-coordinated interiors and amenities provided a warm and welcoming environment for all of us. Moreover, Duck Creek Village offered everything we needed – from groceries at the local hardware store to a breakfast restaurant a pizza place, and a bar and grill.
Highly recommended for anyone seeking a scenic retreat with top-notch hospitality
We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin - we look forward to coming back! Wifi was great, plenty of space, great location and Duck Creek was an awesome area, despite the rain.
Clean, quiet and a gorgeous location. The owner (Daniel) was extremely responsive to questions (within minutes) . We had a wonderful time and will return. We brought our pup and he was in heaven. Nice dog run. Deer EVERYWHERE. Highly recommend this property.
Lovely cabin in quieter area of Duck Creek! Cabin is clean and has most things needed. Owners are friendly and very responsive! This was our second stay at this cabin and we will stay again! Deer visit near the cabin at dusk, that was neat!
This is an awesome property for up to 11 people. They also allow dogs, which is a plus. We had a few minor issues with the property that we discussed with the property manager, issues not significant enough to list in a review, but issues that when addressed will make the property even better than it is, with just a bit more effort on the part of housekeeping.
6 adult family members stayed, age 55-88. Pros: Location was end of a road so we didn't get traffic driving by; lots of parking for cars and trailers; the kitchen and bathrooms were clean; has a dishwasher; fans in every room were fantastic; screens on all windows; twinkle lights on porch were pretty; hosts were easy to communicate with; big family room; cool & shaded; easy access; great WiFi & cell service.
Cons: 1 bedroom not vacuumed; beds a bit hard; towels had a bad smell--I washed them but still a foul odor; the outdoor lot was very littered, solar accent lights were broken and strewn about (I fought the urge to pick up trash but did try to straighten the pretty solar lights); no crock pot, blender, hand mixer, or water pitcher; light bulbs burned out (I found one and replaced it in the kitchen but needed more), and all the pinewood chairs, rockers, swing, and bench are VERY uncomfortable--need cushions for seats & backs! No chairs by firepit--only wood stumps.
Other: It was awkward for a couple of days because the next door neighbors with many adults & teens (youth camp?) were playing games and socializing in front of their cabin, which is only yards from this cabin's front porch--quite a bit of noise (happy noise but still) and stifled us from enjoying our guitars and flutes outside a bit. Overall we had a very good time. Just don't be as picky as I am!
We had a great stay! Plenty of space for our family to enjoy a great getaway weekend. Everything was clean and the location was perfect… just a short drive up from the village. We had no complaints and the check in/out process was easy peasy.
Very nice property. enjoyed the fact that the lot was relatively flat with good parking. No complaints with cabin. Very clean and comfortable. The owners were very responsive to any communications. I would recommend this rental highly.
Me, my wife, 2 daughters, & dog all enjoyed our stay. The cabin was clean & well maintained in a lovely location. The property manager was very responsive to all communication. This was the 1st trip we brought our dog on, so the fenced in porch & dog run were VERY much appreciated.
All family members enjoyed the cabin. Kitchen and bathrooms were very clean and well equiped. Loved the big open living room, plenty of seating for all.
The cabin was very comfortable and had most everything you would need in the kitchen (just couldn’t find a colander). We wanted a place between Bryce Canyon and Zion parks and DJ’s was perfect for that. It was about 80 min to Zion visitor center (hour to gate) and about 50 min to get to Bryce. Very quiet and peaceful neighborhood with a a few restaurants (Hot Mama’s pizza was really good!) and a general store that had pretty good selection of groceries for such a small town.
It was all very clean except one toilet was plugged when we got there. Not sure how the cleaners missed that, but luckily there was a plunger.
We had a great time at this cabin! We were stuck in a winter storm that dumped feet of snow which was beautiful, but trapped our car. Dan coordinated with someone to clear the driveway so we could get out, and they escorted us to the highway. Dan is great!
We loved the multiple reclining couches and the large dining table for our family of 7. We used the covered front and back porches because the yard is beautiful and there is good seating. Bedrooms had ample room and blankets. We even had extra space. This was our first trip with our dog and the fenced dog run was awesome! We didn’t have to worry about her roaming into a large critter. We appreciated the firewood for the wood burning stove which provided warmth and ambiance. There’s an ice maker 😁 Kitchen was a bit light on cooking essentials (flour, sugar, oil) compared to other rentals we have used but we packed almost all we needed. Owners responded immediately when we texted. Hope to stay there again. Thank you 😊
What an amazing winter trip! It was so beautiful! Our family stayed with another family and we both had dogs and kids. We had such great adventures! There was plenty of room. Plenty of extra blankets and towels. A huge back yard where the kids made a sled track. Awesome decks for all your belongings.. We had a wonderful time, so many fun memories, thank you!!
We had a wonderful time at this beautiful, comfortable cabin! It offers a great space for gathering, games, movies and outdoor fun. Plenty of accomodations in bedrooms and the kitchen is spacious and had everything we needed. It was our first time bringing our dog with us for a getaway and it was a really great setup for him with the gates and dog run. The owners are easy to communicate with, and very friendly and helpful. Thank you!

We are originally from Wisconsin and now reside in Henderson, NV. We own our own cabin in Duck Creek Village right around the corner from this rental and just love the area and will always take care of this property as our own cabin we use. My wife is Self Employed operating our own preschool along with our Daughter. So we are very family orientated and very much into detail and cleanliness. We love the opportunity to have other families enjoy the woods as we do.
