This beautiful property was perfect for a family getaway. We loved that it felt private while being close to town and all the great trails. The fact that our dog could come along was the icing on the cake. Can’t wait to return!
We loved our long weekend at this exclusive cabin. It was cute and cozy and we loved the hot tubs.
One thing to be concerned about is previous tenants threw their food out in the woods but very close to the house so we couldn’t let our dog off the leash because he would try to eat it. But besides that we loved it.
My partner and I vacationed here with our dog and my parents. The property was beautiful and the cabin was lovely. The hosts also went above and beyond to make our stay special - the cabin was well-supplied, there were dog treats at check-in, and other nice touches in the cabin included movies and Uno cards. We split our time between hikes and the cabin, and the vacation was even better than we expected!
We loved everything about this place. The owners went out of their way to ensure that we were comfortable and had all we needed. My husband has left sided paralysis, so is semi ambulatory. The setup was perfect for him to function well there. It was the first getaway we have had since his stroke that both met his needs and did not feel hospitalish to us. Thank you!!
This was a perfect first time getaway to hocking hills. The cabin was adorable and clean. The property owners even swung by to check on the hot tub and very extremly friendly.
Had a long weekend girls trip away. Spent all of the time hiking the trails and hanging at the cabin. Definitely appreciated the number of towels and blankets provided, as well as the hot tub and fire pits with provided wood and lighter fluid! We were all more than comfortable. Communication with the host was great as well. Definitely will be back! :)
Wonderful awesome perfect great place
That sums it up 😊

Ben and Katie have been loving nature and each other for over 20 years. Both Plant Biologist by training, they were more than excited to get the opportunity to become stewards of the land and test their skills as entrepreneurs. Their new baby girl, Ada, gladly joins them on this and any adventure and they wouldn't have it any other way.
Phil won Lynn's heart the day he came to remodel her house. Five dogs and over thirty years of teaching later, Lynn was ready to retire to the woods bringing all her creativity and exceptional taste with her. After getting a few houses under his belt (over fifty!) Phil decided to join Lynn in retirement and saved the best for last with our perfect cabins. Somewhat of an introvert, Leonard their loyal pup, has been the perfect silent partner.
Why they chose this property
In 2016 the acreage was agonizingly (but judiciously) timbered. When the opportunity came to manage the land, we just couldn't resist. Our intentions were simple - nourish and sustain the property in order for ourselves, our guests, and all other living things to cherish for years to come.
The cabin's main structure is constructed of hand hewn logs (literally with an axe!) that were made to specification from Virginia. The walls alone are pieces of art. The rest of the building was completed by us keeping in mind the character of the cabin, while adding modern amenities. We were even able to utilize lumber from the property to hand construct wall panels and furniture. The craftmanship is unmatched.
What makes this property unique
The cabin sits on the top of a secluded ridge top, surrounded by 89 acres. The location is private and undeniably gorgeous.
