We enjoyed our stay at this cozy little cabin by the lake. The place was clean and had everything we needed to relax and enjoy quality time with our son. We especially enjoyed the retro/mid-century decorations throughout the home. So much fun! We would not hesitate to stay here again!
It was clean. The headboard on queen bed was not attached which when we turned at night it woke us up. Limited linens for five nights. WiFi was good the bathing supplies seemed to be left over from other guests. Laundry was a nice touch. From the south so heating was a learned experience. Beautiful area just felt like we didn’t feel like it was worth the price we paid.
Another lovely week on Amston Lake and this property was perfect for us! It's a cozy cottage with all the comforts of home, everything new and clean and carefully thought out. Comfortable mattress and a brand new washer/dryer make this nifty place a no-brainier for us! See you next test, and thanks for all!
My 4 kids and I stayed here for 3 nights for a little vacation from Pennsylvania. It was our second time in Connecticut and 2nd house we rented from Todd. It’s very clean, has everything you need. It’s in such a nice neighborhood. When you sit outside to drink your coffee, everyone is walking their dogs and everybody says hello. The night we got there it was a little rainy and we all took a little walk to one of the beaches. The next day it was rainy but we found an awesome shopping area to visit in Mystic. By the time we got back we were able to go to the lake for an afternoon of swimming. The beach is small and the water is crystal clear. We love Connecticut. We will definitely be coming back next year!
Cute little house with comfortable bed and everything in its place. Everything is clean and works. Though not directly on the lake, still has a lake cottage feel. Would stay here again.
We found the property to be excellent in every way. The shower was a little small for my very large husband but perfect for me!😁. We wished we were staying longer because it was pretty and restful. Our only complaint was the coffee maker. It’s an off brand “Keurig” and wouldn’t work with the Keurig pods we brought with us. I’d recommend the owners spring for the real thing since coffee is VERY important!!
Very nice house. Was unable to enjoy surroundings as we were in town for a dance competition that consumed all our time. Property was as presented. Would use again.
It was clean. Back door stuck. Wished the porch was covered since it rained the whole time we were there. Shower was a little small. But we were comfortable.
We can't say much more than what a great place. Close to the lake and nicely located in a wooded area, but central to the many places we were here to visit. Our wish would have been to spend more time enjoying Peek-A-Boo View and the surrounding area, but other commitments kept us away for much of the stay. Stefan and Todd, the hosts were very accommodating. Thank you for a stress free experience. If we return to the area, we will definitely attempt to book this property again.
The property was exactly as it was shone online. Communication with the owners was fast. We totally enjoyed this near the lake. We went to Mystic and then to Foxwoods all within not too bad of a distance. I would stay there again.
Great place for our time to attend class reunion and visit nearby family. Very well equipped and supplied for cozy home away from home. Gas fireplace really took the chill off. Peaceful neighborhood around lovely lake. Would be fun in summer to use beach access. Responsive managers when there was a problem with the fireplace pilot. Exactly as shown in pictures and description. Nicely renovated in mid century style. Towns close by for groceries and dining options. Rural Connecticut at its best. Definitely would stay here again.
This was a great property for a weekend getaway with my husband and two young kids. The house was clean, adorably decorated, and stocked with much more than I’d typically expect with a rental. The location was great for a quick drive or walk to the two beaches. We would definitely rent again!
This cute cottage in pretty lake setting was perfect for our family to be near CT relatives and friends. It was clean and cozy within a lovely setting. Highly recommend it for other small families.
We had a lovely long weekend. The house is clean and nicely decorated. The host is easy to communicate with and check-in/check-out is easy too. My teens loved the snacks left for us. We all enjoyed canoeing and swimming in the lake. Thanks for a great weekend!
