Spectacular house in a wonderful location
We have rented numerous houses - this one was fabulous. The beautiful house was exactly as listed - it is fairly secluded (can’t see other houses from the property), is right on a pond with kayaks supplied (good fun and some fishing) and the rail trail path passes within 50 yards of the house. We used the path for walking/running daily and made ample use of the supplied bikes to ride the path. The very large back deck was wonderful for eating out, reading and just looking at the pond. There is part of the deck that is covered by the house above so it can be enjoyed even when raining. We also enjoyed using the dual outdoor showers. We had questions twice and called - Keith, the owner, picked up in person and later rapidly responded to texts. We usually go to Canada each summer but this year booked on the Cape as the Canadian border remains closed due to COVID. After visiting us at this house our friends all said “you should come here every year!”

Hi.. We're the Callahans. Keith and Amy and our 6 kids, Dakota, Daphne, Wyatt, Adeline, Emmett and Beatrix. We live in Sherborn Massachusetts.

Keith has worked as an entrepreneur his whole life, loves the freedom of time being a business owner allows and his favorite hobby is Mountain biking.

Amy worked as a teacher before deciding to stay home with our 6 kids which was really important to us. One of our best friends describes her as "grace under pressure." She's truly loves being a mother and make raising 6 kids look effortless.

Dakota (11) loves horses and has been riding since she was 3.
Daphne (9) our most outgoing child only wants to be with friends and "party."
Wyatt (7) our little brain invests his allowance and birthday $$ in the stock market (yes, true story).
Adeline (5) loves her "papa" and goes to an outdoor farm camp for preschool.
Emmett (3) is the maniac of our family. He broke his leg at the age of 1 and it pretty much sums him up.
Beatrix (1) was a home birth at the peak of Covid. She is the sweetest little girl.

Why they chose this property

Keith grew up vacationing on the Cape and it always held a place in his heart. Amy grew up vacationing on Nantucket, which held a place in her heart. While dating and eventually married, we jumped around between the various parts of the cape and Nantucket. Eventually we started to come back to Falmouth each year.

We've fallen in love with Falmouth because there is so much for our family to do. We love the Shining Sea Bikeway. Amy loves taking the littles to Woodneck Beach. Keith and the older kids love Chappy, where the kids sneak off and jump off the bridge. We're foodies and the restaurant scene in Falmouth just keeps getting better and better. With a large family, we like the convenience of being able to shoot down in and hour and a half.

For the last 5 years, we have been looking at properties but never seemed to find the right one. In May of 2021 our realtor messaged us about our home and told us we needed to come and see it. In all honesty, we were a little turned off by the colors. She insisted so we made the drive down. We fell in love with the home right away.

First, its on the cutest little dead end road with only 3 other homes. Then you pull in the driveway and you're greeted by a massive stone chimney. Then you wrap around to your parking spot, get out and there is a breezeway between the garage and main house. Through that breezeway you can see Wing Pond framed like a painting. It was in that moment we fell in love with the house. We got inside and everything is overbuilt. The entire back of the home is floor to ceiling windows. The ceilings are a minimum of 9 feet throughout. The open concept with the huge kitchen island, the massive back porch, the room over the garage, we just fell in love.

One problem. It was out of our budget!! We decided to move forward and buy it with the goal of renting it out for a few years to help pay for things. So now you get to share in our dream home.
