I grew up in STL but haven't lived there for 15 years. When a cousin wanted to fly in to see a game a Busch I wanted a reasonably priced place near Soulard and this was excellent! Just a few blocks from some of my favorite Soulard bars and a short Uber ride to the stadium. It was a lovely house with easy, plentiful street parking, and I would stay here again anytime.

Stayed 2 nights. Property located among older housing, and this property is older as well. But the neighborhood felt safe with a sense of community. We walked to the Cardinals game and the Arch. The Roku television and Keurig were nice bonuses. Host was very accommodating and responded quickly to questions. As for previous comments about mice, we saw no mice or signs of mice during our stay. As a homeowner myself, I know it is virtually impossible to avoid an occasional mouse, but this is a comfortable clean property with a location with walking distance of city tourist attractions and we were able to bring our dog along for the trip. If we are back in St. Louis, this is the first place I will check for availability.
What was to be a nice family vacation, turned into an absolute nightmare. The day before we arrived, we read a review that there was a mouse infestation in the unit. When we contacted the Host about it, he told us he had never seen that review and that the reviewer was a “privileged princess.” He said there was an infestation in the fall but it had been taken care of. When we arrived at the unit we were blown away by a strong dog urine smell, dog hair all over the bed sheets and MULTIPLE mouse holes with mouse poop throughout the unit. We also found a missing smoke defector and the one we did find was not working and had no batteries. When we contacted the Host he refused to comment on the mice situation and told us he would put a battery in the next day or we could go get one ourselves. We called VRBO for help. VRBO connected us to the Host on the phone and the Host screamed at us for “ambushing him.” We left the unit after the phone call, didn’t even stay one night (of our 4 day booking!) and got to our nearest family, 3 hours away in the middle of the night with our young children. We were not going to sleep in that awful place. We also spoke to the neighbors in the upstairs unit. They informed us of the exact same situation and that there were, in fact, mice all throughout the unit. The neighbor generously let us borrow a mouse trap, which is more than the “premier host” offered to do. Unbelievable! The Host would not agree to give us any refund and was vague in his language communicating with us for multiple days. He NEVER ONCE apologized for his disgusting unit or acknowledged that he ruined our family vacation. He continued to say we would get a refund “per the VRBO policy” but after days of asking what that means, he said we would not qualify for a refund. However, VRBO support informed us that the Host can issue a refund at anytime. The Host refuses to acknowledge the problems at his unit and that he ruined a family vacation. We hope VRBO will hold this Host accountable for his actions and the state of his unit. Avoid this unit at all costs and spare yourselves the nightmare we went through.
Property was clean and roomy enough for us. There is a problem with mice but we only saw one. Kitchen could use some towels for doing dishes and maybe a small dish drainer. Also a cookie sheet or two. Other than that our experience was very good. The neighbor was great for walking our dogs.
We enjoyed our stay in the renovated apartment. We bought our 2 dogs, and it was very dog friendly. It was clean and conveniently located. Our only comment is that the fenced in yard cannot be accessed from inside so it was inconvenient in the rain. We would definitely stay again.

Such a cute and cozy spot! We enjoyed our stay here very much. The location is ideal too because we were only ten minutes from most everything we wanted to do. We traveled with our two kids and two dogs, and we were just a short walk to a nice park.
My partner, our pet, and I all very much enjoyed our stay here! The neighborhood is very walkable with nearby coffee, restaurants, and parks. Our host was very accessible and everything was clean and ready for us upon arrival. We would happily stay here again!
The property was clean and nice for the apartment size. However, there’s very limited cooking space for meal prep, there are no sink or shower stoppers and occasionally a roach or 2 would find it’s was up the drains. The bed was very comfortable, the baseboards could use updating and the upstairs tenants essence of marijuana seeps into the downstairs apartment, but the property owner quickly addressed the issue. Very nice quaint area and very secure. If it’s available the next time I’m in the area, I would definitely stay again, but recommend the owner address the drain stopper issue to prevent the pesky drain critters from coming in.
It was exactly what we were looking for. It was close and convenient to everything we were going to do. Parking was never an issue. Robert was always quick to respond. Would definitely book again.
