Convenient yet away from it all. Tommy and Stacy were great host. Only minutes from food and town . Very clean and neat. Couldn't ask for any better. Would definitely stay here again.
Every year my friends and I get together to spend a long weekend in Blue Ridge, and this year was one of my favorites. The cabin was super cozy with the fireplace and comfy blankets. The host was such a delight to message and always responded very quickly whenever I had any questions.
We greatly enjoyed our stay in the cottage! It was warm and inviting and well-appointed. Stacey and Tommy thought of every little detail. The layout was perfect and we especially appreciated the second master downstairs. The surroundings were beautiful with lots of trees and pasture land. We look forward to staying there again on our next trip to Blairsville!
If you're looking for comfort, beautiful surroundings, peace and quite, then look no further than Valley Creek Cottage. My girlfriends and I stayed here during our fall pilgrimage to the mountains and couldn't have picked a nicer place. Spacious, great beds and good TV. Close to great restaurants and beautiful drives on roads less traveled. Stacey and Tommy made us feel welcomed from the moment we drove up. We will definitely come back!
Easy to access and just a short drive to Blairsville. It was close to the waterfalls we wanted to visit - less than an hour's drive to 6 of them. Very clean with everything we needed and was quiet without being too isolated. The only thing I didn't love was the Roku TV setup. We struggled with that since we aren't used to internet TV. But I loved seeing all the deer! They greeted us every time we returned to the house. If we come back to the area, I would definitely stay here again.
Myself and two friends stayed here for a week of motorcycle riding. The house was very nice and peaceful. Had everything we needed. Great area centrally located for awesome rides. Close to two towns, so getting food was easy.
I highly recommend this property and the owners.

About the host
Hosted by Stacey Fletcher or Tommy Fletcher
My husband Tommy and I are both artists/crafters. We are retired teachers, with two grown children and one grandchild. Tommy is an avid motorcyclist and enjoys dual sport riding on the many forest roads that surround us. He can certainly advise you on places to ride. Several of the items in in the cottage have been restored by Tommy. I love Geocaching and working in my art/stained glass studio, where I also sew, paint and cane chairs.
Why they chose this property
After 12 years on Cherokee Mt (across the valley road), we decided that we wanted property in the valley. Moving off the mountain to this location meant moving from NC to GA. Our property line is the NC line. The cottage was already here and being rented full time. When the renter moved, we completely renovated the house and decided to share it as a vacation rental. After many months of hard work, making it into the jewel that it is, we began renting the cottage in October of 2020.
What makes this property unique
This property offers mountain views without the need to drive up the mountain. It is easily accessible in snow and icy weather. While we are slightly secluded, we are not isolated. We have distant neighbors all around. The hills and lane on the property are great for leisurely walks. This location puts you between Blairsville, GA and Murphy, NC. for shopping and activities. Wineries are plentiful in our area; several are within a 10-15 minute drive. Art festivals are ongoing events, with the John Campbell Folk School being close by. Nearby Lake Chatuge, Lake Nottely and Lake Blueridge offer many water activities. Hikers love this area with its many waterfall and hiking paths, most accessible year round.
