> Event & Wedding Venue - Celebrate a milestone event in manicured gardens, in the grove of mature oak and fruit trees, or along the pasture - the perfect setting for a small, outdoor celebration. Nearby hotel accommodations allow for up to 150 guests.
> Executive Retreats & Meetings - Get away from the office to gather your team to reconnect and chart a new course. Large and small indoor and outdoor gathering spots throughout the property allow for inspired conversation and collaboration.

1ST FLOOR includes:
- Kitchen: the fully-stocked kitchen includes all cooking equipment (pots, pans, bakeware, kettle, cutting boards) and utensils (knives, spoons, ladles, spatulas, tongs, can opener, etc.); dining ware (plates and bowls, two sizes of each) and flatware for 12; drinkware (drinking glasses, coffee mugs, wine glasses, champagne flutes, martini glasses); large-capacity drip coffeemakers and single-serving Keurig coffeemaker; blender, microwave, smoothie mixer, and toaster; and serving ware (platters, bowls, drink dispensers, spoons, tongs, etc.)
- Dining Room: designed for meals or meetings, this room includes a 10-foot handcrafted farmhouse dining table (seats 12) and linens.
- Living Room: includes a 70" 4K LED smart television with streaming services and AirPlay functionality, a comfy sectional coach, game-ready coffee table, and additional seating.
- Library: this cozy, 'Gram-ready space is great for cocktails or conversation; includes seating for up to 7.
- Sunroom: perfect for relaxing, reading, and enjoying views of the gardens, fields, and barns; includes seating for up to 5 with adjoining full bathroom and laundry room.
2ND FLOOR includes:
- Washington Suite: the primary suite, named for the Washington brothers (George, who frequented the area regularly, and Charles, who resided nearby) includes a king bed (sleeps 2), desk, and private en-suite bathroom with a double vanity.
- Magnolia Suite: the secondary suite, named for the views of lush magnolia trees outside of each window, includes a queen bed (sleeps 2), desk, and en-suite bathroom shared with the office.
- Office: with perfect views of the gardens and spring house, the office includes a large desk and workstation, queen sleeper sofa (sleeps 2), smart television, and en-suite bathroom shared with the Magnolia Suite. High-speed internet makes working remotely a breeze.
GROUND FLOOR includes:
- Garden Suite: with beautiful picture-window views of the garden and a secluded walk-out patio space, this suite includes a queen bed (sleeps 2) and shared bathroom.
- Lounge: this room is the original structure first built on the property and served as the kitchen (with an original cooking fireplace) and main entrance to the house for many generations; includes a kitchenette/wet bar, sitting area with a queen sleeper sofa (sleeps 2), smart television, and shared bathroom.
OUTDOOR SPACES include:
- Boxwood Garden: full of beautiful greenery and florals, the maze garden treats you with surprises around every corner.
- The Pond: the seasonal water feature offers views of the farmhouse and spots for reflection in nature - and a great place to spot wildlife like geese, ducks, and frogs.
- The Grove: mature oak, walnut, peach, and apple trees provide a breezy, shaded escape along the picturesque white stable; bistro lights provide ambience for a cocktail hour or dinner party under the stars.
- The Pasture: the hay field on this working farm is seasonally accessible and is surrounded by horse and cattle pastures, and provides stunning views, particularly at sunrise and sunset.
- The Spring House: one of the most architecturally significant features on the property, this structure has served as a kitchen, smokehouse, and primary water source (from Rock Spring) over the years. While guests are welcome to enjoy this structure from the outside, they are strictly prohibited from entering the building for their own safety.
- The Barn & Stable: Used primarily for events and storage , the historic red barn and white stable have electrical supply for a warming kitchen or lighting for photography & videography.
Located in the heart of Jefferson County in West Virginia's eastern panhandle, Rock Spring Retreat is situated just outside of Shepherdstown and less than 15 minutes away from Charles Town and Harpers Ferry.
