## Emplacement
Located on the left bank of the River Têt, 4 km from Perpignan, Bompas currently has a population of about 7,300 inhabitants. Despite a very strong population growth from the 1970s onwards, the village has managed to maintain a particularly pleasant living environment. Thus, Bompas succeeds in reconciling efficient urban planning, modern facilities and the preservation of a rich natural environment. The municipality currently has 20,000 m² of lawns, 3,000 metres of hedges and 3,200 trees. In addition, there are 35,000 m² of stadiums and playgrounds, which function as green spaces throughout the city. Other areas are currently under study or construction, including a new 3-hectare leisure park. But the heart of the city is its exceptional Sports and Leisure Park. This 8-hectare green lung contains several sports grounds, a festivities area, picnic areas, children's play areas and even an animal park (the Enchanted Space).
