About this property

Castle with unique view into the Loire Valley / Pool/ Wifi

The Château du Vigneau is a privately used house that we make available to guests from time to time. It is furnished accordingly.
Here all generations, a large family, a large group of friends or a working team can go on holiday or work together. And yet there is enough space to retreat and enjoy the peace and quiet of everyone else... The spacious rooms are stylish, familiar and comfortably furnished. The thick walls keep the house cool in summer and warm in winter. The house has central heating, some rooms also have a fireplace. Here you can simply relax, play golf and tennis nearby, or visit the sights of Burgundy on day trips.
The private area is huge and is suitable for relaxing or common sports and games. There is unlimited space around the house, a private forest for walks, a very large fenced pool area, close to the house, but without the noise of the house disturbing the tranquility on the terrace.

Access for guests

We only rent the house to one tenant. You can accommodate up to 22 guests in 12 bedrooms with 8 bathrooms, in 2 salons and a dining room there is space for all. When it rains: in front of the fireplace it is always beautiful... There is also a room that we use as an office, with a view over the Loire valley and a fireplace in front of the desk, in case someone has to work in between. The house is equipped with Wifi.

Interaction with guests

We will probably only get to know each other on the phone because we live in Germany when the house is rented. But in the front buildings there is a gnarled caretaker who takes care of the facilities, maintains the swimming pool and answers all questions - but only in French or Portuguese.

The neighbourhood

Although the castle stands alone and there are no neighbours to be seen in the fantastic view, the small town is only 2 km away. There you can buy everything you need. There are restaurants, a public swimming pool, tennis courts, a golf course, a cinema and a small traditional spa. The 'voie verte' a bicycle path on a former railway line is very close. Paddling on the Loire is highly recommended. Boats can be rented in the town.

It takes a car to get to us. There is a train station on 2 km, but the French timetables are thin. The airport Lyon can be reached in 2 hours, the next TGV station in 1 hour.

Week end de rêve

Nous avons passé un week end parfait en famille au château de Vigneau. Le château correspond tout à fait aux photos. C'est d'ailleurs bien plus beau en vrai. Le gardien sur place est disponible, efficace et très sympathique. Toujours présent si vous avez une question. Nous ne pouvons que recommander !!

Magnifique propriété

Nous avons passé un excellent week-end pour des retrouvailles familiales dans ce magnifique château. La demeure et le domaine sont superbes. Les petits et les grands en ont été ravis. Elisabeth a été très réactive pour répondre à toutes mes questions. Le gardien nous a très bien accueillis et s'est montré très disponible. Toute la famille est enchantée du (trop) court séjour. J'espère que nous aurons l'occasion d'y revenir !

Un merveilleux Noël !

Le château du vigneau est la demeure idéale pour passer les fêtes en famille. Les pièces sont suffisamment grandes pour que tout le monde soit à l’aise et suffisamment nombreuses pour que chaque groupe puisse en fonction des activités choisies, trouver son coin cocooning ! Amazing Vigneau

The pictures do not do this house justice. The view from the terrace is spectacular. So relaxing to sit and watch the sunset. Very well equipped and lots for the kids to do (pool, boules, table tennis). We loved our stay at Le Vigneau!

Séjour magique

Nous rentrons de Boubon-Lancy ou nous avons passé un WE de 3 jours en famille pour les anniversaires de nos parents. Chacun de nous ( nous étions 16 adultes et 3 enfants de 90 à 4 ans) a rapidement trouvé sa place tellement la maison est accueillante.Tout est fait pour rendre le séjour inoubliable.Plein des chaises et de tables sont installés à l'extérieur pour profiter de la vue et du calme du lieu et du soleil si il se montre (un petit coup de cœur pour la table sous le saule-pleureur). La réalité est conforme à la description mais en mieux. Immense salle à manger ou l’on a tous tenu largement autour de la très large table, machine à laver la vaisselle qui est très utile lors de grandes tablées, 2 très beaux salons dont un avec un piano, pleins de chambres ... Elisabeth a eu la gentillesse de nous conseiller une cuisinière que je recommande vivement : personne très à l'écoute de nos besoins et qui cuisine à merveille.

Un château magnifique

Nous avons loué ce château pour les fêtes de fin d'année avec un groupe d'amis et tout le monde a grandement apprécié de se retrouver dans ce lieu exceptionnel. Le cadre est magnifique, le château est très bien entretenu et équipé et on s’y sent bien. Nous avons apprécié tout particulièrement le confort des chambres et des salles de bains, l’immense salle à manger, la grande cuisine où il ne manque rien et le salon bibliothèque si chaleureux avec ses livres anciens. Merci à Elisabeth de partager ce lieu.

Séjour parfait

Quelques jours très agréables dans ce lieu très chaleureux. Un bonheur pour les enfants de cavaler dans les couloirs et pour les plus grands de profiter du billard et des cheminées...sans parler des promenades alentours. La prestation est à la hauteur de ce qui est annoncé. Tout est réuni pour un séjour parfait. Le contact avec Elisabeth a été très convivial et très fluide. ET l'équipe sur place est à la fois disponible et discrète. A recommander chaleureusement pour ceux qui souhaite, en tribu, s'offrir un moment de convivialité.

Juste un mot : Super

Elisabeth est ouverte a toutes demandes et les échanges par mail se sont très bien passés pour l'organisation de la location. Les explications sur le château et l'itinéraire donnés par la propriétaire sont très claires et conformes aux attentes. Nous étions 17 adultes et 4 enfants et nous avons apprécié la demeure car chaque couple avait sa propre salle de bain, petit détail, mais très important, car pas de perte de temps pour se préparer et donc, plus de temps pour profiter de toute sa petite famille. Nous avons passé 3 jours extraordinaires que nous allons renouveler très prochainement. Merci a Mr CASANOVA pour son accueil et à la femme de ménage qui tient la demeure dans un bon état de propreté.

Comfortable relaxing holiday retreat in a beautiful setting.

We were all very much looking forward to staying at Le Vigneau having read previous reviews and Elisabeth's helpful information booklet. The property certainly did not disappoint, being extremely comfortable and well equipped. The grounds were beautiful and peaceful with lots to do. The kids loved the pool, you could walk in the woods to Bourbon Lancy, cycle or play table tennis. It was possible for everyone to find their own space after which we tended to meet up on the terrace in the evening to enjoy the sunsets. Nothing was too much trouble for Elisabeth who arranged a chef enabling us to enjoy some memorable family meals in Le Vigneau's grand dining room . Le Vigneau provided the perfect environment for a fantastic family holiday- thanks so much Elisabeth!

Séjour inoubliable

Nous avons passé un séjour formidable dans ce magnifique château entre amis, si convivial et chaleureux, et avons pu profiter pleinement de tous les équipements mis à disposition (piscine barbecue, salon de jardin, etc). Better Than We Imagined!

This property was simply perfect! I would not change one thing about it. There were 7 of us travelling and we all found space to curl up and read or sit and talk for hours. We have rented chateaus in the past and they often felt cold and dreary but this one was warm, bright, and comfortable. We will be back soon!

magnifique séjour au vigneau

Nous avons passé un très agréable week end au vigneau. Le.chateau est splendide. Tout le confort y est présent. Les.chambres sont spacieuses et les salles de bain modernes. Vous trouverez tout l equipement que vous désirez que ce soit en cuisine ou pour les activités sportives. Le cadre est magnifique, une superbe vue à l arrière du chateau, une piscine magnifique. Je le recommande à tous et nous espérons y retourner bientôt.

Le Vigneau- a refreshing haven

Our stay at Le Vigneau was everything the owner, Elizabeth, said it would be and more. The chateau is stunning. It is very spacious, the grounds are beautiful and peaceful. The chateau is well-equipped with everything we needed and more for our group of more than 20 people.We enjoyed the chateau, the billiards, the swimming pool, the amazing scenery, the bikes and more. We also found this chateau to be very kid-friendly, which was important to us. Every aspect was truly spectacular. It would be a pleasure to stay again, only longer next time. Elizabeth was so wonderful in her thorough and quick responses to us as we had questions before arriving. She made sure we had all that we needed for a wonderful stay. We were warmly welcomed. We highly recommend le Vigneau and hope your stay is as refreshing as ours.

Traumhafter Platz für die ganze Familie

Traumhaftes Chateau inmitten einer wunderschönen Landschaft mit reichlich Platz für Kinder und viele Freunde. Jeder einzelne Raum im Haus hat seinen eigenen Charme, die Bilder auf der Website lassen das schon erahnen, aber das Haus ist wirklich umwerfend. Wir hatten eine herrliche Woche mit neun Erwachsenen und sechs Kindern. Jeden Tag gibt es in der näheren und ferneren Umgebung etwas zu entdecken. Die Kinder konnten wir entspannt draußen herumtoben lassen - der Pool ist seperat umzäunt. Wenn man einmal Ruhe für sich haben möchte, gibt es im Haus viele schöne Plätze sich zurückzuziehen. Im nahe gelegenen Ort Bourbon Lancy gibt es, alles was man braucht und jede Menge Freizeitangebote. Wir haben z.B. u.a. ein paar Mal Tennis gespielt - den Platz mietet man einfach beim Tourist Büro. Wir können das Chateau jedem nur wärmstens empfehlen!

Burgundy at its best - for friends and family!

This beautiful castle offered the perfect setting for a week of relaxation with a large group of friends. The charolais cows and the pond in front of the huge terrace completed the rural atmosphere in the heart of this famous wine area. All rooms (bedrooms, kitchen, living- and bathrooms) are furnished elegant and cosy at the the same time. The building and the garden offer a pleasant surrounding for young and old. The external chef made delicious dinners - all of us were stunned! I'll definitely try to go back there. It feels like the dream house, one always wanted to have in France.

Comme chez soi...

C'etait absolument fantastique. Un milieu confortable, raffiné et stimulant. Soit nous sommes restés dans la maison, assis devant une de plusieurs cheminées, ou nous avons pris la voiture pour faire une balade dans les environs. Il y a beacoup de choses a decouvrir, comme Moulins ou meme les marchands de vins, qui vendent les excellent produits locales (surtout le vins de château, savons etc..). Même en promenade à pieds on y trouve beaucoup, la nature par exemple. En hiver, il faut juste toujours bien fermer les portes, à cause des courants d'air, mais sinon c'est archi chouette, elegant, toujours très propre et bien équipé - il ne manque de rien. Peut-etre je dirais c'est donc même un peu mieux que ses soi-même
