Enjoy spectacular sunrise and sunsets from your porch. Create a meal in fully equipped kitchen or enjoy the amazing cuisine of hundreds of restaurants in easy driving distance.. Freshly baked continental breakfast delivered to your door every morning. Play with our miniature horses, and watch for them to peek in your window every morning! We are child friendly! A portion of every booking fee is donated to www.mylittlehorselistener.org., our equine therapy program for families coping with challenges in northern New Mexico.

Hello! Your host Liz is a lawyer and Gary is a retired business professor. We have a passionate commitment to harness the gentle power of miniature horses to help families recover from challenges. We love hosting travelers and sharing the beauty of our property and northern New Mexico.
Why they chose this property
The cottage is fully equipped with the comforts of home. It is completely solar and uses a rain catchment system. Liz loves baking muffins and bread in the morning for guests and there is no better way to wake up than to watching miniature horses in your backyard, or peering in your window! We welcome children, but the cottage is not child-proofed and young ones must be supervised by guests at all times. The cottage is rural, the roads to our property are excellent and our internet and cell phone access is better than in the city of Santa Fe.
What makes this property unique
Our guests tell us that the serene beauty of our location is a tonic to relieve stress. The temperature is delightful during morning sunrises and sunsets and watching the miniature horses peacefully grazing within arms reach is a special treat like no other! Guests can hike 3,000 acres from the porch, or journey back to the 1800's and enjoy the nearby towns of Cerrillos and Madrid. The more cosmopolitan but still enchanting cities of Santa Fe and Albuquerque are within easy reach. We have lived in northern New Mexico for several years and Gary was raised in this state. We know where to find the best of everything!. Unlike many other properties, we are here if you need us. A comprehensive guidebook, written by us, is available, via email before you arrive or in the cabin. We take great pride in what we can offer and look forward to sharing our cottage with you and introducing you to the magic of miniature equines!
