Peaceful Log Cabin on Pleasant Hill

If you're looking for a secluded, yet convenient, quiet retreat, this log cabin tucked away in the rolling hills of Athens County is the place for you! Pick the front porch or the back deck for your morning coffee or evening nightcap with peaceful meadow views. Inside you'll find a cozy living room, featuring a gas fireplace, that's open to the kitchen and dining area. With cathedral ceilings that really show off the beauty of this log home. The kitchen has all the necessities including a stove, oven, microwave, toaster, refrigerator and more. For sleeping, you'll find a king sized bed in the first floor bedroom and a queen sized bed upstairs in the loft. Enjoy dinner on the back deck with a dining table set and grill, or toast s'mores around the fire pit. The cabin isn't huge but the views are grand! Just a short drive to Uptown Athens and Ohio University, and super convenient to a few of our area wineries like Shade Winery and our neighbors just a couple miles down the road - Pleasant Hill Winery!

Peaceful Cabin in the Woods

This cabin was absolutely wonderful. Is a very peaceful setting in the woods and is very private. Enjoyed sitting outside in all of the seating areas. Was a perfect home base for visiting family and had everything we needed.

Athens/OU Visit

We had a wonderful stay while visiting our OU student. Host was responsive and easy to communicate with. Great location, quiet yet close to town. Nicely appointed cabin with all the amenities we needed. Hope to stay again when it's cooler so we can enjoy the fire pit.

Beautiful getaway in a cozy cabin

We had a wonderful time in this little cabin. We were looking for a place to secret away and relax and this fit the bill perfectly. We had some rain during our stay, but watching the gnarly weather from the comfort of the porch rocking chairs while reading was delightful. The hosts were open and responded quickly to communication. There's not a whole lot to do in the area, but that was fine for our trip!

Gorgeous cabin!

We took our son to visit Ohio University and wanted to stay somewhere different than a hotel. The 5-star reviews on this cabin are spot on! It’s in a scenic, secluded setting about 10 minutes from Athens. The cabin has recently been updated with modern furniture, decor and bathroom vanity. It’s everything I was hoping for. Now I just hope my son ends up going to OU so we can come back and stay there again!

Too short a visit for such a beautiful place!

Thoughtfully designed and comfortably furnished in every way. The most delightful little cabin in the most serene of settings. Little House on the Prairie vibes with every little comfort you could imagine. My only regret is that our daughter's orientation schedule took us away from the house so much!

Pleasant Hill Hideaway
