Comfortable stay

Even though the area is rural, the hosts went above and beyond to make the stay comfortable!!! Stayed with the family and little kids.

Family vacation

We had a great time house was very clean, and we found a ton of things to do in the area. My kids top 3 things were Lake Park Aquatic center, Landz Edge, and Mohican Adventures.

Exactly what we needed.

Our stay at “The Barn at Sunset Lane” was nothing short of amazing. I live in Florida but grew up in Ohio and wanted to show my new family a little bit of ‘home’. The property is remote, peaceful, and exactly what I was hoping for. The girls loved being able to run around outside, chase lightning bugs, watch deer, and make smores. They are already looking forward to another trip. We will definitely be back. Thank you for the memorable trip!

Great place to stay

Hosts were very welcoming but were not pushy. Everything about The Barn was great! We look forward to coming back sometime when it’s not so hot so we can use the fire pit and enjoy the outdoors.

Wonderful Weekend Stay

We spent Father’s Day weekend with our two little ones and parents for a short getaway. The barn was spotless with many great details and little touches that made our stay more comfortable. The owners also had great suggestions on activities and places to eat in town. We loved spending the even around the fire pit and catching fireflies around the yard. Each morning we enjoyed coffee on the porch watching the deer roam the grounds. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area.

Beautiful property

This place is a hidden gem! Coming from a small town, but can hear road noise on a daily basis it was SO nice to relax on the front patio area in silence! Everything was neat and tidy. My kids loved the board games, and it was nice to let my 5 year old run around the yard. I would recommend this place 100x over!

Best vacation rental I've ever stayed at. Our second stay there. We were left wanting for nothing. So roomy, open, accomodating for lots of conversation. Four bedrooms, each great. The host knew we were planning a fire in their beautiful outdoor setting and he set it up FOR us while we were away! I cannot recommend this place enough.

Peaceful get away

This a a very lovely property. Quiet at night. We enjoyed sitting on the porch listening to the night and rainfall. Close to shopping, wineries etc. easy check in and communicative hosts.

Wonderful retreat!

My mom was visiting from Texas so we decided to take her to Amish country to see the beautiful fall scenery. The Barn at Sunset was the perfect family retreat! The drive there from the Columbus area was gorgeous and the barn’s setting was just perfect! My daughter said it was the prettiest place we’ve ever stayed! The house is so nicely furnished and just immaculate! The hosts are wonderful and very easy to communicate with. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Gorgeous property

We are sisters who like to get away once a year for a relaxing time to catch up on our lives and keep close as we are getting older and busy with our own families. This was just the right place for that. It was so clean, spacious and well decorated. There were many small touches that made us feel very welcome. The fire pit area was perfect, that is something we always look for and enjoy. I would recommend this to others looking for a peaceful, quiet, relaxing atmosphere to escape your busy life for a while.

5 stars all day long!

This place and it’s owners were amazing! So much that I already booked the “barn” for next year the day we departed. The owner knew we were coming in with large trucks and trailers and cleared an area for us to turn our trucks around and park in the field and provided helpful tips when pulling in to avoid any problems. The inside of the “barn” was fantastic. I have been to my share of rentals and this is now the gold standard for my expectations. All of the little things made us feel like we were coming home versus a rental were there. From small toiletries in case your forgot yours when packing, the coffee bar, to the cute background stories of the barn throughout the house and just the overall decor. After our trip on the trails at the end of the day we really enjoyed sitting on the front porch and enjoying the sunsets. My 7yr old did not want to leave! Great job to the owners and we look forward to our stay in 2024!!

Beauty and Serenity

It was the perfect location in the hills and beautiful with an open field in front. The place was clean, had everything we needed including the space for all the adults and kids. The fire pit area was a great touch and the owners went out of their way to help us with a few things. The story behind the barn made it even more special. We had the best time and can’t wait to return!

Felt Like Home

Our stay at this property was a fantastic experience. The property was exceptionally clean and well-maintained, exceeding our expectations. Everything was as described in the listing. One aspect that we particularly appreciated were the amenities provided. The property truly felt like a home away from home. The kitchen was well-stocked with all the necessary appliances and utensils, allowing us to cook and enjoy meals just like we would at our own house. The comfortable furniture and cozy beds added to the overall sense of comfort and relaxation. The location was ideal for a peaceful and quiet getaway. It was tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city, providing a serene environment that allowed us to unwind and recharge. We could enjoy the tranquility and escape from the noise and stress of everyday life. It was the perfect setting for unwinding and enjoying some much-needed downtime. In summary, our stay was exceptional. The cleanliness and accuracy of the description, coupled with the amenities of a true home, created a relaxing and peaceful experience. Amazing experience!

I rented this house for my bridal party to stay in the night before the wedding and we also used it to have our hair and makeup done! The house supplied us with everything we needed, the hosts were easy to contact, and it just added even more timeless memories to the entire wedding weekend! The check-in and check-out process were easy and laid out in detail for us, a binder of information for what we needed to know, and all of the rooms were very spacious.
