Our home has the most incredible view in Colorado. On our beautiful wrap-around deck you will have unobstructed views of Mt Hope, Quail mountain, La Plata, and of course, Mt Elbert, the highest peak in Colorado. On the deck, you will find an outside fire feature and a barbecue grill both attached to house gas. There is also a fire pit with wood provided. The deck is fully furnished with bistro furniture, tables, chairs, and a rocker. You are steps away from BLM and National Forest trails that connect you to Mt Elbert Forebay. There is a fitness room with an Octane elliptical and a bow flex, and a steam shower to complete your workout. In the house, you will have all new appliances, washer, dryer, smart refrigerator, dishwasher, garbage disposal, stove, hood, and mircrowave. In the den you have a dartboard, and a foosball table and a queen sleeper sofa and smart TV. In the living room, you have an electric lazy-boy couch to relax, put your feet up and look at the view while watching your favorite shows and sports on a smart TV. All beds and pillows are new.
*Drip Coffee Maker and stainless steel French Press, filters and coffee provided.
*Water is mountain well water and is safe to drink from the tap or the filtered water on the refrigerator.
*Gas grill and Fire feature are connected to the house gas (no need to fill) and fire wood is provided for fire pit.
*Oil and spices and plenty of pots, pans, baking dishes, crock pot, roasting pan, glass baking dishes and an air fryer.
The house is 1 mile above Twin Lakes and 1.5 miles from Mt. Elbert Forebay walking distance, but there is parking at the lakes and beach chairs and towels at the house.

Beautiful vistas
We had a fantastic stay at Donna’s home. The home had everything you need for a cozy family vacation including a fully stocked kitchen, games and a lovely welcome gift basket from the owners. The home is situated in a perfect location with easy access to hiking trails and the lake. And the views are absolutely incredible. All communication was easy and prompt with Donna. We highly recommend this home and are already planning our next visit!

An absolute gem
This property is truly wonderful! Perfectly appointed with everything you might need and more. The views are absolutely amazing and the property is just as it appears in the listing. The property manager was extremely responsive prior to our arrival and the house had all the information and instructions we needed. We stay in a lot of Colorado vacation rentals and this tops our list. Would highly recommended!

You don’t want to miss the views
The last house on a dead end road that butts up to the National Forest. Lots of trails to walk on combined with the beautiful lake views. You can’t help but relax instantly. The house was lovely, clean, and exactly as advertised. Highly recommend it.

House and amenities as described in listing and lovely. House was clean and had everything we needed. Views are great, nice variety of hiking trails nearby and house located in quiet area. The hummingbird feeder was very entertaining and fun to watch up close on the porch.

Beautiful Views!
Twin Lakes is a good central location for visiting Aspen and the Maroon Bells (in Summer) and the Buena Vista. Plenty to go if you like the outdoors within a 45 minute drive! This property had a hiking trail leaving straight off the driveway, amazing views of the lakes and the tallest mountains in Colorado. We saw wildlife each day while sitting on the deck (fox, eagles, rabbits, deer, ground squirrels). The house was easy to find with the address provided and access was simple. We ate most meals at the house and kitchen was perfect for our needs. Our family of six had plenty of space and there were many games provided, including foosball and darts. The downstairs shower is a "steam shower", which was interesting. Overall, we loved our stay at this house in Twin Lakes!

I don't usually leave reviews but this property was exceptional! Amazing views, plenty of activities nearby, a beautiful home, and wonderful hosts that even left us a bottle of wine to enjoy! We definitely hope to return!

Welcoming family environment with majestic views!
We've had the pleasure of staying in this lovely home on two occasions and plan to return! Its convenient location, just a short drive to Leadville makes it a perfect choice if you are looking for a getaway with nearby restaurants. However, the kitchen is fully stocked with appliances for those who prefer home-cooked meals. Ski Cooper and Copper Mountain are both within an hours drive, and the breathtaking scenery make the drive to go skiing well worth it! Greg and Donna have thoughtfully curated a welcoming atmosphere, complete with a plethora of board games for family enjoyment. The reliable WiFi and phone service are an added bonus. Thank you, Greg and Donna, for graciously sharing your beautiful home with us once again. Countless family memories have been made here!

Great winter trip
The views and house are even better than described. The house is modern and clean with a great location. The owner left small gifts for us and had chilled mugs in the freezer. Lots of nice touches like that. Loved it.

One of the most gorgeous stays in Colorado!
This is the second time we have stayed here. The property was immaculate and it was one of the best rentals we have ever had! The views and location of this property are perfect for the “getting away” but not too far away from comforts! Twin lakes had been consistently one of the best fishing areas in Colorado. Having a trailhead directly outside the front door is such a treat. If you want the Colorado experience. STAY HERE!

Fall adventure
Our second time staying here and we love it! Very clean house and every amenity we could ask for. There were even beach towels for the lake. Great trails right out the door to walk our dog and did I mention Views Views Views!! We’ll definitely be back after the winter, we don’t think our suv will make it up the steep hills

The house is as exactly as pictured, clean and comfortable! Great amenities from dishes and pans, to a portable fan to cool off our dog, as well as a baby gate to keep our dog away from the stairs. The outdoor space is as great as the inside, the views are amazing. The owners were very accommodating and the bottle of wine and chocolates were a nice touch! We’re anxious to visit again!!

Spectacular Views-Trail Right Out The Door
We had a wonderful time in Twin Lakes. The views from this cabin are amazing and the deck is huge with many seating options. There is also a trail right out the door that goes to the Mt Elbert Forebay (about 3 miles in length). If you are looking for a cabin in this price range with amazing views at Twin Lakes, you can’t go wrong with picking this one. I did have a couple suggestions for improving the basement seating quality and adding a TV in the upstairs living room with the best views.

Breathtaking Adventure!
This house was perfect! The pictures do not do justice to the views offered from every single window in the house. It was a perfect setup for me and my husband and our two teenage boys and even our fur baby. My boys had rooms downstairs and a bathroom and the game room and the adults had the upstairs. Everyone had their own space which was amazing. Donna was super helpful with my many questions. The house has everything you could possibly need. Donna really thought of everything to make your stay feel like being at home. You will not be disappointed to rent this little piece of heaven! I loved that the house is at the end of the road so we weren’t alone and always felt super safe, but we also had a ton of privacy and the views were open to the mountains beside us and not other houses. Donna was very accommodating and was wonderful to work with! We had a relaxing week! My boys brought their kayaks from home and we spent many days at the lake. Thanks for sharing your beautiful home with us Donna! This was our first trip to Colorado and everything was perfect!

Both my wife and I had an amazing time. The house itself is very nice, very clean. And just over all very comfortable. The views are absolutely breathtaking and honestly one of the most pretty places I’ve ever seen. We will definitely be back in the future.

Spectacular Stay
The view of the lakes & mountains was gorgeous inside and out. Every day the skies and sun were in different moods making morning views an event. The house is at the end of a road in the subdivision and no house on one side so it felt relatively private. SO many niceties such as a welcome bottle of wine and chocolates and the fridge and pantry had beverages, food and everything needed for cooking. A bit pricey but totally worth it IMO.
