About this property

High-Speed Hideaway for Connectivity and Comfort

Just a stone’s throw away from the heart of Sequim, this rustic and charming cottage is a great place to relax or use as a base to explore the Olympic peninsula. Owned by the same family for generations.

Inside you’ll find 2 bedrooms, a comfortable living room and a kitchen with all you need to make a scrumptious meal. The wood floors add that cabin feel to the cottage.

In the main bedroom, there is a queen size bed, while the second bedroom has a twin bed. For more guests, you can use the comfortable pull-out full-size couch / bed in the living room. The detached garage has a full size washer and dryer for your laundry needs.

Outside you can sit around a cozy firepit and tell camp stories as it gets dark. You'll have an ample yard for the kids to play in. There is also a covered patio with a table and benches so you can eat, drink and relax in the outdoors. Please note that there are exterior security cameras covering the front and back doors, plus behind the garage.

Not far from the cottage you can visit the National Wildlife Refuge and Dungeness Spit. Take a bracing 5.5 mile walk out to the New Dungeness Lighthouse, the longest natural sand spit in the nation.
Only a short drive out to Port Angeles, head to Hurricane Ridge and Hurricane Ridge Visitor Center for beautiful hiking trails and amazing views. Head farther west to Lake Crescent for waterfall trails and a gorgeous teal deep water lake. Venture even further and the Hoh Rain Forest may tempt you for a real adventure.

There are many other local popular destinations such as Olympic Game Farm, Salt Creek Recreational Area/Crescent Beach, Seven Cedars Casino, Ruby Beach and even more scenic destinations a short drive away!

Only 55 minutes from Olympic National Park, where you can drive up to Hurricane Ridge for spectacular views and an easy hike at the top.

An excellent place in Sequim

The cottage was neat, clean, and very well equipped. It was in an excellent location in the middle of town, but off the main drag - calm and quiet. We would certainly pick this place again.

Fantastic quiet cottage in town

The cottage is wonderful, comfortable and very peaceful even though it’s right in town. Tons of fluffy towels, good bedding and a complete kitchen. We really enjoyed our stay in this special place. Watching the hummingbirds in the lilac bushes each morning was a joy!

Close to the national park

Pros: Check in/out process was easy. Very close to the National Park. Cons: The water pressure wasn’t the best and the shower head pointed every way but on you. This can be easily fixed though.

Cute and quaint little place

This is a little but of a funky place, with lots of little "old" fixtures and things, but it was very clean and cozy, and the beds were incredibly comfy. We would have like to have had more coffee (not decaffeinated) and sugar available, but fortunately the grocery store was not far at all, so we made do. We would gladly stay again. Thank you!

Pollys Cabin

A nice, very small but efficiently-laid out house with a huge yard full of trees and wildlife. A covered patio right off the kitchen. Quiet neighborhood and centrally located in Sequim. A very pleasant stay.

Place needs work

It was a small old fashion 2 bedroom house. Badly needed yard work should be done. The place is in need of being updated. They have overlooked the safety issues that exist in the house. The patio was dirty, really wasn't useable. The location was great being close to city center. Key to garage was hard to find.

Country setting, city convenience

A rustic cabin with a '60s vibe, in a quiet, rural-like setting but only blocks from downtown Sequim. Charming photos and travelogue literature from years past give a sense of history. A small home but spotless and comfortable and surprisingly well-stocked. Soft bed, lots of blankets, pillows, linens, and towels and everything we needed in the kitchen for cooking and serving.

Just what we needed and no more!

The process of renting, staying and checking out we’re top notch. As we spent most of our time out hiking during the day we didn’t want to spend a tremendous amount on a place to lay our heads. This fit into our budget. It had a good location and it was super clean. The kitchen was well stocked so we didn’t have to spend a lot of time eating out. There were many grocery stores and restaurants close by we needed them.Quaint without a lot of modern updates we still found it more than adequate for our needs. The check-in and checkout process was super easy. All in all we had a great stay!

Self service

The property was wonderful, except poor heating, grateful there was several space heaters! Did not like that the expectation was for us to self-serve on the trash, dishes, and laundry. Going somewhere is about being served, not doing chores we already do at home., this is what a vacation is about i feel.

Polly's cottage

The little house was quiet, cozy and functional. We left a note suggesting they add brighter and more reading lights in the living room and bedroom. It would have been more convenient if the door off the carport opened with the key we were given, rather than going around in through the kitchen. Although the advertisement said two bedrooms, there was not enough space for four adults. Two adults with maybe a third compatible person in the very small twin bed would have been plenty for the small space. But our stay was very pleasant. Should do it

cozy, but a couple of surprises

We were there for a couple of weeks, and it felt a lot like a second home. Comfortable, cozy, quiet neighborhood. Good wifi, which was important for working. When we got there the back door was standing open. It can be a little bit hard to close, so somebody must have given up. On about day three, we had an ant invasion, and found a sticky honey bottle far back in a cupboard that was the attraction. Thorough cleaning solved that problem. Car port light was burnt out. Would use this home again, but would recommend that the manager spend some time as a guest without letting anyone know in order to see the little things that get missed in readying the place for guests.

honest assessment of a cute place in downtown Sequim

The description and reviews did a pretty good job describing the rental. If you want to be in downtown Sequim, and you don't care too much about amenities, this is an okay place. It is a no frills rental with just what you need. In our case the place served as a place to cook eat and sleep. We were out of the house rest of the time. It is obviously and older house, and the photos and reviews does not try to hide that fact. Nevertheless, we thought it was clean and fairly comfortable for its size. The one thing that needs to be improved are the pots and pans. The one frying pan is a lightweight scraped up Teflon or Teflon like pan. The other pots were a bit better but not by much. We did not cook in them, except to boil water in one of the small pots. Even if the pans were better, the small kitchen makes it difficult to prepare a full meal. The latter worked out for us, as we mainly ate salads and cooked meats we brought from home. The stove burners needed some cleaning, but that is an easy fix, and I believe the owners will take care of that. So bottom-line, if you are not real picky, if you just want to use the place to relax in, if you are going to be out most of the time, the place is a good choice, we would go back.
