Our home is an unexpected surprise at the end of a long driveway twisting and turning through old growth juniper trees, and up the hill! Located on a ridge and concealed from view with fourteen acres of privacy, our home welcomes you as you start your vacation! Open the front gate head up to the porch and through our new front door. Inside, you will find four bedrooms (one downstairs and three up), a view-filled and well stocked kitchen, large dining table, great room, two bathrooms and a few other rooms just to hang out. Our location is central to Bend, Sisters, and Redmond; a great starting place for your central Oregon adventure. Families with children will love the amount of space. The fenced in front yard is great for our K9 visitors. Couples or groups traveling together will enjoy the privacy of 3 large bedrooms. Golfers, fishermen, boaters: there is a TON of room on the property to stash your gear & cars! The Barn is where you will find foosball, ping pong, the basketball hoop, cornhole and a card/game table. The BBQ is just outside the kitchen on the deck. Enjoy your morning coffee out on the new expansive deck with the sun streaming over the Valley, or be an early riser and walk out to the lookout deck and watch the sun come up over the mountains. At night, the dark sky is filled with millions of stars! The lookout deck is a great place at night to look for shooting stars. And, on the 4th of July, you can see multiple fireworks shows!
Things to do: Summertime Fun in and around Bend! The Bend's downtown is filled with so many interesting shops, local eateries, galleries. There is a Farmers Market every Wednesday from 11am-3pm. The The Old Mill District is where you will find many shops and restaurants. You will find the Hayden-Homes Amphitheater which is the place to go for concerts in June, July and August; October will be the famous Brew Fest! Closer to us, the little town of Tumalo has a fun Food Truck area downtown - it's the place to be for local flavor and relaxing. Not a skier? In the summer you can always grab a chair lift ride up Mt. Bachelor to catch a spectacular sunset, eats, drinks.
Interested in cycling? Bend is the site for many cycling competitions during the summer. There are many areas in and around Bend to go cycling, too.
Fall is spectacular with lovely days to be outside and a little chill at night. Love lighting the woodstove and watching a movie.
Things to do: Like to Play Golf?: Central Oregon is a golfer's paradise! Some have called the region the 'Palm Springs of the North'. In the fall, golfing is unhurried and much less crowded. You can go 15-30 minutes north or south of our house and find several wonderful and challenging golf courses.
Fishing + Hiking: Central Oregon is like heaven for fishing enthusiasts! There are so many places to explore! We can email you info, relevant websites, etc. Honestly, a wonderful getaway for the fisherman!
Hiking is Central Oregon's middle name in the summer time! There are so many unspoiled and uncrowded spots, really close to our home. Drive out to Tumalo Falls and go on a lovely hike -(don't forget your camera!!), Marvel at the beauty of Smith Rock, check out the back country of the Three Sister's Wilderness area...tons of places to go!
