Wonderful place for a family experience of Ireland

Our family of three generations had a lovely stay at Sea View House in Doolin. It was everything we hoped for and more. Our hosts Darra and Niall were very welcoming and helpful, full of tips for things to do in the area. If we are fortunate enough to return to Doolin, we would definitely want to stay there again!

The Lodge at Sea View - Look No Further

Our family of 4 stayed here for 3 nights in June. You can’t ask for a better accommodation. Lovely house with 4 bedrooms each with its own bathroom and shower. A full kitchen. A fantastic deck with a fantastic view. Nestled in the hill you have a postcard view of a perfect Irish town and views of the sea all from the same spot. In three days we didn’t need to drive anywhere, everything is walkable. Beds are comfortable and the house is well decorated. Check in and and check out are easy. We will be back! You won’t go wrong!

Absolutely Wonderful

Our--all too short--trip to Doolin was made that much better by staying at the Seaview House. The home was beautifully appointed. We are a family of seven and it was perfect, we had room to spread out and room to gather. And you couldn't have asked for a better location, it was like a postcard. We walked everywhere and drove to many key attractions. Darra anticipated our needs, helped make reservations and provided us with great suggestions. My only advice would be to stay for awhile (at least longer than 2.5 days), Doolin and Darra are a terrific combination. I have only one word for our stay. . .superb.

Outstanding property

Sea View House in Doolin was everything we'd hoped for - with lots of bonus extras. Niall and Darra are wonderful hosts and lifelong residents of the area -- real experts on what's good in and around Doolin and the Burren. Plus we got to make friends with their two horses Misty and Peggy. The house is easy walk to Gus O'Connor's and the shops on Fisherstreet, and also a relatively short walk into the main part of the village. And the sea views are very real, we enjoyed them every evening. Highly recommended.

SUSTAINABLE TOURISM:
We are also passionate about sustainable tourism. We believe that ecotourism is the way for Doolin and the Burren and Cliffs of Moher Geopark to develop tourism in a sustainable way. We try to consider the environment in all that we do. It is absolutely vital that we look towards long term, sustainable solutions that protect our outdoor spaces and minimize harmful CO2 emissions.

USE OF RENEWABLE ENERGY
To minimize our CO2 emissions, wee primarily use renewable energy sources. Photovoltaic solar panels convert energy from the sun into electricity which is stored in our battery bank and used to run our hot tubs and provide electricity to the lodges. Flatplate solar collectors convert energy from the sun providing hot water for Lodge bathrooms and kitchens. We use BIO LPG produced from renewable feedstocks such as plant and vegetable waste material to heat the lodges.

We have also taken steps to lower energy consumption throughout our properties, using advanced heating controls, LED lighting, motion-sensitive lighting and lots of insulation.
