Waters Edge! Value priced Lakefront 2 bedroom cottage just 6 ft from the lake.
Direct lakefront 2 bedroom cottage located just feet from the beautiful 550 acre all sports Round Lake. Perfect for a single family or one couple for family vacation at the lake. Great place to make lifelong memories. Cottage is fully equipped. Cottage is set up for family fun, inside of cottage is fairly basic, yet has everything you need. 2nd bedroom is not 100% private, so cottage is not great for two couples. The 2nd bedroom is separate and remote from the commons area. It sits off the hallway between the kitchen and bathroom, however no door between hall and bedroom, bedroom is also small, yet has 2 twin beds and is great for kids.
Living room has an IKEA futon for additional sleeping. Cottage easily accommodates 4 people, and is fine for 5 people with one person using the futon.
Cottage has a shaded lakeside patio exclusively for the guests that stay here.
This cottage is the downstairs portion of a 2 story duplex. Cottage is 100% private, with private entrances. The lakefront, dock, firepit, and raised paver brick patio are shared by the upstairs of the duplex as well as another 3rd cottage on the same property.
Property has just gone through a major landscaping upgrade, plenty of space to spread out.
Assigned parking for 3 cars plus additional space for guests.
Pontoon boat available for rental. $700/week or $150/day.
Please note that guest needs to supply own bedding (sheets) and towels. The beds do have pillows.
Cottage is down about 15 steps from the parking area. NOT SUITABLE for anyone that has trouble navigating stairs!

We have been coming to this property as a guest since my first grandchild was an infant. It’s now been 11 years. My wife and I fell in love with Round Lake, and it was our dream to be able to purchase this property. It is our hope that this property will continue to make smiles and happy memories for other families, as it did for us.
We plan on continuing the tradition of the prior owner of being fair, fun, and easy to work with.

Why they chose this property
Family Friendly Cottages. Cottage is a key word here! This is not an executive lake front home, nor is it a 5 star resort. It’s a cottage, the main attraction is the lake. The water is clear, the lakeshore has a hard sand shallow bottom great for kids of all ages. At the shoreline its ankle deep. Easy for little ones to play and get in and out on their own. Of our 3 cottages, this is our most basic one. The inside is clean and functional, its just not fancy. I know I appreciated not having to worry about my grandkids accidentally spilling something on expensive furniture.
What makes this property unique
Their are 2 other cottages on the property, when I first rented here 11 years ago (before I purchased the property) I was worried about how would the other guests integrate. My wife said “lets give it a try”. The property is quite large and lots of space to be separate and on your own if that’s what you want. Frankly their is more space here with 3 cottages on the property as opposed to some other rental cottages down the street that are placed on 30 foot lots (this lot has about 120 feet of lakeshore). On our 3rd year back, we met another family that was staying in the other 2 cottages, and we formed our “Round Lake Family” and have vacationed with them every year since. I not that experience is fairly common.
