Our 120 year old farm on 77 acres in the Manistee Forest has been lovingly renovated so we can welcome guests to this beautiful area. Outdoor activities abound with ORV trails, snowmobile trails, hiking and biking trails, kayaking, boating, and fishing opportunities, golf, hunting in the adjacent Manistee National Forest, and more are all either next to the property or within a 15 minute ride away. For snow machine enthusiasts you can bring your trailers, park them at the farm during your stay and ride from our property all the way to Traverse City using the numerous trails in the area. Caberfae Peaks is only 20 minutes away and Crystal Mountain is 35 minutes away if you are a skier or snowboarder. The historic farmhouse (our home) is connected to the farmsuite which sleeps up to 8 guests. Guests have plenty of relaxing space with the two main floor bedrooms and one oversized bedroom upstairs. Brand new mini split air conditioning and heat provide comfortable temperatures year round in every room. Guests are welcome to use the large decks, gazebo with picnic table, and the firepit area. Trails and wildlife galore are on the property and on the state land (Manistee National Forest) that abuts the farm. If you love peace and quiet in a beautiful setting, this is the place for you!
Beautiful and clean Dayhuff Lake is a half mile down the road should you want to swim, fish, or kayak. The Manistee River isn’t far away and there are numerous kayak and canoe rental facilities within 20 minutes of the farmsuite. The decor in the suite is unique and special to the property and features steam engine and train items from when there was a hobby railroad on the property. There are also other framed vintage items pertinent to the property and area. You won't find anything else like this lovingly restored farmsuite!
Guests will be required to sign a short term rental agreement after booking.
