Tucked away from main roads in Medix Run, this custom-built A-Frame cabin provides a peaceful, wooded environment with plenty of parking and privacy. Nestled in beside the creek, guests are invited to relax beside the fire pit or enjoy outdoor activities in the spacious yard. Indoor accommodations provide room for 6 to sit around the dining room table or lounge in the living room. Upstairs, the open-floor concept allows sleeping for 6 with two queen beds and two single beds with a comfortable couch available in the living room for an extra guest. The newly renovated bathroom offers a full tub/shower. WiFi is available for WiFi calling and TV streaming. Within 5 miles of the Elk Visitor Center, this location offers access to Elk Country's biggest attractions, small businesses, local distilleries, wineries, and restaurants. This is the perfect setting for easy access to outdoor activities such as fishing, hunting, hiking, or just enjoying nature. The road into the property is well kept; low profile vehicles are welcome. There is no cleaning fees.

We love this cabin! Clean, has all you need inside and out, peaceful, the hosts are fantastic. In my rush before leaving, I forgot to write down cabin code. We drove a couple miles to get service, called them and they provided the cabin number. For some reason I wasn’t on website but they were so nice about me calling. We really enjoyed ourselves and recommend this cabin. Thank you!!

Slice of Heaven

Our family wanted to enjoy some time in the Benezette area and watch wildlife. We couldn't have found a more perfect home away from home if we had tried! This cozy A-frame was perfect for our needs and was very spacious. There were plenty of deer to watch at the property and the scenic elk drive and visitors center was just minutes from the property. This well-appointed cabin was the perfect place to relax, unwind and enjoy nature at it's finest. While we cooked our own meals at the cabin, there are plenty of places nearby to dine or grab a quick bite. We loved the campfire ring near the water. If you don't want to cook in the kitchen, there is also a grill and smoker available for use. The hosts were receptive to questions and were quick to answer us our questions. Having wifi at the cabin was also a plus since there isn't cell service readily available. Enjoy this little slice of Heaven on Earth that is close to many activities yet secluded where you can rest and relax. We will definitely be returning in the future.

Quiet get away

I had a wonderful time, the cabin was warm and cozy. The cabin was spotless. I’m definitely coming back next year, I would highly recommend it to my friends but I want to keep it a secret lol

Almost fall getaway

This little A Frame is perfect!It is eqipped inside with everything you will need, well minus a dishwasher but we got through it! The outdoor space is perfect with acdpavious yard. Although the crick didnt have much water the kids still had fun! We saw some deer and hundreds of squirrels playing in the trees! The hosts left us a special gift which we really enjoyed! You have to book with them to find out what it is! We will definitely book here again! It was a perfect weekend.

Peaceful retreat

Clean, comfortable, quiet and cozy! Nice roomy aframe with pretty much everything you need. Secluded location but close to the elk visitors center. Wildlife in the yard almost daily.

Nice little camp!

We picked the place for the outdoor space and it did not disappoint! We hosted a large group on Saturday afternoon for our family reunion and it had everything we needed. Our only complaint was there was no hot water during our stay so we had some pretty refreshing showers! Overall we were very happy with our stay. And honestly, probably the most responsive communication I have ever had with any host on various house rental platforms!

Great getaway spot

We really enjoyed our four night stay at the A-frame cabin. It was super clean and had plenty of space for the two of us. We loved the deck and yard, and we enjoyed having a campfire each night. Nicole and Dan were very responsive to a few minor issues. Dan gave us great local tips on areas to view some elk up close. He was spot on with his recommendations and our elk viewing experience really made our trip feel complete! We also saw plenty of deer near the cabin and all over Benezette. The cabin is in a great location, not far from Route 555. It's not totally secluded but still feels very private. We rarely saw other people or cars in the area. This was our first visit to Benezette and we would gladly stay here again in the future.

Love this cabin!

We stayed for the weekend in October and my whole family loves staying in this cabin. A very short drive to the heart of Benezette, and secluded with tons of outdoor space. My kids love playing in the creek, yard space for outdoor games, and a beautiful space for campfire and playing games at the picnic table. Especially beautiful with a campfire going at night and the lights overhead. Cabin is always very clean. Kitchen had everything we needed. No issues at all. Loved it here!

Very nice and extremely quiet getaway. One recommendation would be to have screens for the windows to let air flow and keep out the bugs.

Dan and Chris are entrepreneurs involved in a variety of businesses. Dan is a married father of two who owns his own contracting business. Chris is a married father of three who owns a stoneyard and specializes in excavating. Brothers-in-law, the two enjoy working together and opened Chicken Hill Distillery in Kersey, PA in April of 2018.

Why they chose this property

When this property became available, Dan and Chris knew they couldn't pass it up. They were the first in line to look at it and couldn't leave without buying it. They have spent this entire first summer renovating and making it as cozy as possible.

What makes this property unique

Although the cabin was purchased as a rental, the family immediately fell in love with it. It is the perfect place to spend relaxing Sundays around the campfire roasting hot dogs, making mountain pies, toasting marshmallows, and making s'mores. It has been the site of many family gatherings, and the kids love coming down to play outside and get as close as they can to the family of deer that frequent the property.
