## Emplacement
Cazilhac is located in the Haute Vallée de l'Hérault, 45 km north of Montpellier and 60 km northwest of Nîmes. The commune lies between the Séranne massif and the Hérault river.
The Meuses date back to the late 18th century and are used to irrigate the plain. These are six large moss-covered wooden lifting wheels, arranged along a canal fed by water from the Vis. Along the right bank of the river, opposite Ganges, are some old spinning mills.
