About this property

Yellowstone Sky House

Welcome to Paradise Valley! Situated mountain top, in the quaint town of Emigrant MT. Experience soaring unobstructed, 10+ miles of Yellowstone River and Absoroka Mountain Range views. Plenty of room to roam on your private 20 acres. 31 miles to Yellowstone's entrance open year round! Relax in the hot tub after a day adventuring in Yellowstone Park or pour yourself a glass of your favorite Montana Whiskey and lounge on the expansive deck as you take in the majestic view of Emigrant Peak.

We are available by phone 24/7 during your stay

The majestic, remote, unobstructed views comes with a very small price to "pay" in the way of 1.7 miles of (well-maintained) gravel roads to the house. 4-wheel drive is NOT necessary to access the house during Spring and Summer months but IS REQUIRED during Winter months. Carrying snow CHAINS during winter months is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Please take the curves up to the property slow ( 5-10 mph) and be cautious of the abundant wildlife that often cross the roads. If you want to fit in, it's the Montana way to wave to your neighbors as you pass them on the road!

We assume responsibility for plowing our driveway to ensure clear access for you on check-in day. Any other plowing service required during your stay or on your departure is the responsibility of each guest. The HOA will take care of plowing the main roads and surrounding streets. Please plan ahead and schedule any snow plow services you may need during your stay or for your departure. Our recommended snow plow companies can be found listed on signage in the house.

As featured on Fox Business Channel 'American Dream Home: Gone Country', episode titled "Dreaming of Paradise". Welcome to Yellowstone Sky House a stylish private mountain retreat on 20 acres that boasts stunning, expansive views of Emigrant Peak, and soaring Yellowstone River views from most rooms of the house. There are also 2 rollaway beds that can be set up comfortably in the family room downstairs, for a total of 6 beds.

• The house has a 2 person work station/desk with printer and good wifi for your virtual office needs or for the students in
your group needing a comfortable space for virtual schooling.

3 Things That Can Be Less Than Awesome:

• Paradise Valley can be windy.

• We have the fastest internet available which is usually just fine for work or school but in bad weather the speed may get a bit slower.

• Tankless Hot Water Heater works fantastic for the entire group to take consecutive showers and also for both showers to be used at once, BUT if you run the dishwasher or washing machine at the same time as both showers it struggles to supply hot water to everything.

Please consider purchasing vacation insurance or check with your credit card for vacation coverage. We are unable to offer refunds or make-up days for missed reservations due to excess snow, road closures, cancelled flights, illness, etc.

This property can be dangerous for unattended young children as there is no fencing and steep hillsides.

You will need a vehicle to enjoy your stay and 4-WHEEL DRIVE IS REQUIRED DURING WINTER months and PLEASE CARRY SNOW CHAINS (usually available upon request from car rental agencies).

There is no Uber, Lyft, or public transportation in Paradise Valley. We do have a car service recommendation we can provide upon request for the days you'd prefer to leave your vehicle behind at the house and hire a driver.

PET FEES: Pets are allowed with an additional Pet Fee of $25/night for the first pet and $15/night additional for the 2nd pet up to TWO PETS MAX. Pet fee will be charged after the reservation is complete and sent as a "RESERVATION CHANGE REQUEST". You will find the "Request" in your email typically 24 hours before your check-in day.

Important: We are committed to protecting our properties which is why we've partnered with Truvi, the leading vacation rental guest-screening provider. Please note that before your booking begins, you will need to verify your details and ID through Truvi. Magical Montana Sky house

We had a delightful time here. The views are so stunning with mountains all around - it feels like you are in Switzerland when there is snow on the mountains in the winter. One of the most comfortably appointed and thoughtfully laid out homes we've ever stayed in. If this place is available, book it, you won't be disappointed! Great value for the $$ especially in this area. We'll be back, thank you again Kameko!

Better than expected and we had high expectations.

Everything was perfect. The house was actually bigger than what the pictures showed and the mountains were closer. The decor was beautiful, and the views indescribable. Very well equipped, and every little detail was perfection. We will be back!

Cocktails in Paradise

We have stayed at many properties but the Yellowstone Sky House was exceptional and exceeded expectations…and mine are very high. This trip was a family vacation that included 4 adults and 1 infant. The house was perfectly suited for privacy, when desired, and well equipped for a baby. The property was well stocked from A to Z and you can’t beat the view! A big thank you to our hosts for being so accommodating. We will definitely go back!

Perfection in Paradise Valley

Our family has stayed at properties all over the world, and Kameko & Ryan's is one of the tops. We don't have a single recommendation on how to make the stay any better. The property is well described by the pictures - modern rustic, newly refinished, and in top notch shape. Internet was fantastic (often a challenge for rural properties). Our favorite activity was simply drinking coffee and admiring the incredible views. This home does not disappoint!

This house is spectacular! Very nicely decorated and clean, plenty of space, really nice kitchen. And the views…priceless. Huge windows to be able to look out on the hills below and mountains across the highway. Nice touches of a spotting scope and record player. The hot tub was a welcome sight after hiking all day, again with amazing views. The porches have plenty of comfortable seating and the handrails had glass underneath to be able to view all around. While we stayed, we were able to see a trio of deer walking through the hills. One morning they frolicked and ran around, so cute! Lots of bluebirds and others flying around. We got to see a fox one evening while sitting in the hot tub. Very comfortable and relaxing for sure. A much needed getaway and this place was the cherry on top! Kameko and Ryan communicated well and the house was easy to find. We’d definitely make another trip here!!

Amazing Montana Winter Retreat

Our family drove from California to Emigrant Montana for a first-time visit to Montana and Yellowstone for the holidays and had the pleasure of staying at this amazing property. The view is simply beyond words from every window in the house. We spent days and hours enjoying the endless, breathtaking views of the mountains, vistas, sunrises, and sunsets. There was also wildlife everywhere! We were able to see mule deer, elk, and even a fox! Our host family Ryan and Kameko were fantastic! They were responsive, friendly, considerate, and there for us whenever we needed them, which wasn't very often as the place was perfect! It was mostly to help guide us to the very cool local restaurants (Sage Grill was awesome) and activities! We HIGHLY recommend this property and look forward to staying again!

Breathtaking views and great location!

10/10 recommend this house! The views of the mountains out the windows are second to none and you'll want to spend all your time just staring at them! The house is beautifully decorated and the hosts thought of everything- down to the record player and assorted vinyls to the matching robes in the master suite. This house had one of the best equipped kitchens that I've seen and even included appliances such as a pressure cooker and food processor. The house was 10 minutes from a small country store that has most everything you'll need, a bar, and a restaurant (though the restaurant is only open certain days so check beforehand). It's about 30 minutes from the larger town of Livingston to the north, and 30 minutes from Gardiner to the south. Gardiner is also the North Entrance to Yellowstone so this house couldn't be in a better location. Do yourself a favor and book this house, I promise you won't regret it!

Amazing house!!!!

From getting out of our car to sadly leaving, the views from this house are incredible with sweeping views across Paradise Valley and a perfect view on Migrant peak. The property has a lot of space to explore outside and for us play in the snow. The outside is well maintained and so nice to have a garage with sleds and other fun things to use like corn hole! The inside of the house was perfectly decorated with a kitchen that had every utensil or dish you needed. The kids were ecstatic to have an Xbox and the hot tub was perfectly positioned. With a beautiful 40 minute drive we were in Yellowstone National Park which was so fun in the winter. The hosts of this house were so helpful and kind. I would stay here over and over and so would my entire family. It's perfection! Definitely need a 4 wheel drive in the winter which made it feel all the more separated from the world and exclusive.

Wow! Simply Stunning!

When we opened to door for this wonderful property, our jaws dropped. The house was beautiful, all appliances and electronics were updated and modern. And the view....that view...this is something to be experienced. We watched the snow come down the mountains and storms come our way (looks like fog but, boy, the fog moves quickly and suddenly you are in a blizzard). We loved our time at Kameko's and Ryan's place. They were responsive (within minutes) and endlessly helpful. The proximity to Livingston, MT, the Old Saloon, and Sage Lodge meant that we always had something to do. But, when the snow comes in, it is wonderful to have a spotless and updated place to weather the winter storm. There's nothing like spending time in a hot tub during a blizzard. We very much hope to return. :-)

Unforgettable retreat for one's body and soul

We absolutely loved our stay at this incredible rental! The drive up to it is like you have never seen before (and we are seasoned travelers); we couldn't believe that was the view we were going to enjoy for an entire week. Mountains, mountains, and more mountains! The pictures don't even do it justice! The house is very tastefully decorated and furnished. The layout is convenient and the whole space feels inviting, clean, and cozy. The kitchen was well-stocked with everything one may need for a short or longer stay. The master suite bed is exceptionally comfortable! We had very relaxing restful sleep the entire time there. Unfortunately, we didn't get to explore the Yellowstone Park due to recent flooding and the entrance being closed, but, as the host had advised, we found plenty other activities in the area to participate in. The nearby towns of Bozeman, Livingstone, Emigrant, and Big Sky are super cool, with lots of great restaurants and shopping. We highly recommend this wonderful rental and hope to be invited to stay on our next trip to Montana.

Mission of Love for Mom!

A Family Trip for Mom at 82! With Mom, Dad & Siblings! My mom was diagnosed with Lymphoma 4 months ago and when I asked her where she wanted to go, Yellowstone was it! My siblings and I arranged for us all to be there without spouses and grandchildren, to give mom a true family vacation experience! Filled with- “Are We There Yet?” - “I have to go to the Bathroom!” - and “Mom, their touching me!” From the back seats! It didn’t matter that we are each almost all over 50! Lol! This house was perfect location with Breathtaking Views! Kameko was awesome and very responsive to multiple emails, as we tried to rent wheelchairs, grab groceries and plan. We will never forget this absolutely once in a lifetime trip with Mom & Dad! Mom was glowing with happiness the entire time! Thank you for being part of our Mission of Love for Mom!!! Mountain views meets stylish living

The first thing we did upon arriving was taking in the view whilst having a beverage. The view is breathtaking and can be enjoyed from just about every space in the house. The owners were responsive and very detailed in their recommendations. Our favorite snow covered hike was pine creek falls and definitely our favorite place to eat, besides at the house, was sage lodge. The house was immaculate, from the decor to the furnishings as well as being stocked for a big meal or a drink in the hot tub. I would recommend this house to anyone and everyone! Thank you for sharing it with us.

I Never Wanted to Leave

The pictures were amazing but didn't do this place justice!! The owners went above and beyond with every single details down to the books, records, and furniture!! There wasn't one thing lacking (I'm obsessed with your hand soap!!! Lol) The first time we have stayed at a place where towels were in abundance and kitchen supplies too!! The views were breathtaking!! It snowed the day we were there and sat in the hot tub soaking in the outdoors. I would have stayed forever if we didn't need to rush home to the kids. Best anniversary trip ever!! Already planning our next stay in October!! The communication was perfect and made us feel so welcome!!

Host profile image
My love of Montana began when I was just 11 yrs. old while on a cross country road trip from Southern California with my parents, 3 siblings and our Labrador puppy, all cozied up in a small truck camper for over 3 weeks. That Montana love spell struck me hard and I dreamt one day when I was "grown up" I'd come back but the next time, I'd stay awhile. At last, that lifelong dream has come true. Now we are here hoping to share some of our Emigrant Montana love with visitors. We can't wait for you to experience the beauty and magnificence of this town, the warmth and welcome of the locals, to see for yourselves why it's aptly named Paradise Valley, and why Montana is the "Last Best Place".
