## Emplacement
In the Var, it is a city with 2400 years of history. This city is Hyères, about twenty kilometers east of Toulon. Nicknamed the city of palm trees, Hyères has preserved all its charm of yesteryear. To discover it, walk the picturesque alleys of the medieval old town perched on the hill of Castéou.

Enter the Porte Massillon, which marks the entrance to the historic centre, then stroll around to see old houses with colorful facades, brightly colored stalls or a vaulted passage under the old ramparts. At the top of the hill is the castle of the Lords of Fos, built in the eleventh century and around which the city developed over time. Today in ruins, the medieval fortress offers its visitors superb views of the bay of Hyères and the Massif des Maures!
