Highly recommended - fabulous & fun relaxing visit!
Can't say enough good things about this property & the thoughtfulness that went into everything! Fresh flowers, snacks, excellent communication, nicely appointed with all necessary items as well as extras. Great location & we totally loved the alpacas & Great Pyrneses guardian dogs! If we could give 10 stars, we would! Thank you for everything!

Best Place We've Stayed!
Beautiful area, quiet, super peaceful. It is exactly like the picture! When we went inside we were wowed by how charming and clean it was. The set up in the little kitchen was perfect for two, but roomy enough for four easily. There was a welcoming note, wonderful muffins, and fresh flowers in the kitchen area to greet us! SO thoughtful! The bathroom was cute and spotless, and so thoughtfully "stocked". The upstairs loft with the king bed was very spacious, big windows that let in a wonderful country breeze. The bed was super comfortable. We slept like babies! Paul & Deb, the hosts were SO nice, and available if we needed them. They shared the alpacas with us, we had so much fun! Our grandchildren live nearby and they let them come and spend some time with the alpacas as well. it was a wonderful memory-making time. We sincerely hope to return and hope to keep in touch with them.

Graduation Time
My sister passed from alzheimers several years ago. Two of her four grandchildren recently graduated from local high schools and we wanted to be there to represent her side of the family. We looked for a place to stay near both high schools while providing a relaxing environment for us. We found the perfect place and plan to return for another graduation next year! The owners very helpful, place darling and the tour of the alpacca farm an added treat.

Always will stay here.
My husband and I have now stayed here 2 different times. Once in the winter and now in the summer, Paul and Deborah are very welcoming and extremely considerate. This trip was for a family reunion on my husband’s side, so we were extremely busy with that, in and out of the apartment both early and late. We will definitely be back. Thank you Paul and Deborah for your hospitality.

lots of dust under the chairs and table on the first floor, it was a nice place to stay and very quiet, they just need to clean all the dust under the charis and in the windows upstairs in the bedroom, otherwise, I would have given this place 5 stars.

Paul and Deborah’s Alpaca retreat was one of the best experiences ever! They have created a beautiful space of pure love, and their attention to detail is unmatched! Everything you could need or want, they have provided. Love is felt everywhere! We attended a theater performance Deb was in. Her voice and performance incredible and awe-inspiring. This is definitely a bucket list experience! I feel so blessed to have met these two beautiful souls!

Couldn't ask for better!
Deborah and Paul were lovely and gracious hosts and we very much enjoyed our time on the farm. We appreciated their great communication, thoughtful welcome goodies, and the informative tour of the farm to meet the alpacas. The space was more than adequate for our needs and was clean and well appointed. Highly recommended!

Cozy and Friendly
Deb is amazing. Rather than leaving notes and instructions (which there were), she greeted us and showed us around. We knew where everything was and how it worked. The warm welcome could not have been better. It felt very safe to be in a gated yard. You could not have asked for a more private setting. Being on a working alpaca farm was wonderful. Deb spent an hour and a half with us meeting and feeding her herd. She had a bouquet of her home grown dahlias on the table to greet us as well. Our daughter lives in nearby Portland. She came down on our second day, and Deb took her to greet and feed the alpacas as well. The apartment had everything we needed and was very comfortable. We are already planning on returning and staying here again.

Alpaca Farm Delight
Deb & Paul’s Alpaca Farm was a delight! Great recommendation from my daughter who is a theatre friend. Comfortable, well appointed and supplied (including blueberry muffins!) it was a wonderful three night stay. A little out of the way, but close to some interesting small Williamette towns. And the alpacas were a pleasure to meet.

A Touch of Rural
We enjoyed a delightful three days on this alpaca farm thanks to the gracious hospitality of the Nelsons. The rental facility included everything we needed along with the bonus of a king sized bed. Our hosts were very attentive to our questions, went out of their way to introduce us to their alpacas, and explained all that goes into raising, and showing, these adorable animals. This quaint and quiet rural setting is ideal for anyone looking to get away from city life for a few days.

Fun with Alpacas
Lovely stay in a pastoral setting. We came for my niece's birthday and it was perfect place. One of the sweetest parts of the visit, aside from the fresh bouquet of farm-raised dahlias, was a hen who would hang out with us when we relaxed outdoors. She quietly clucked to us as we had our wine in the evenings and drank our coffee in the mornings. As an extra wonderful bonus, we visited the alpacas which included two pregnant females and two babies, one only a week old. Our hosts were perfect.

Perfection
When I booked the Alpaca Farm Retreat it looked like it would be a good fit for us. Turned out it couldn’t have been any better. The location was absolutely perfect for taking in the hiking trails we wanted to explore. The cottage was so much more than the pictures could convey. We were VERY comfortable. The grounds and outdoor space (most important to us) we’re beautiful and comfortable for morning sun up coffee and evening sundowns with Doofus, the resident chicken. Paul and Deb were friendly, accommodating and truly wanted to make sure we were happy but were not overbearing. We were fortunate enough to take in the full alpaca tour and fell in love with those sweet creatures. It’s obvious that Paul and Deb love what they do and enjoy sharing what they have. We truly loved our time at the Alpaca Farm Retreat and hope to return.

My daughter and I stayed at the farm while visiting nearby Silver Falls State Park. The location of the farm is very convenient for traveling to the State Park. The farm itself is beautiful! My daughter and I enjoyed exploring the property and spending time with the alpacas. The hosts are easy to communicate with and provide a very thoughtful, clean comfortable environment. We loved the creative alpaca themed decor. Thank you Paul & Deb for giving us a memorable stay.

Beautiful property and wonderful hosts!
We spent the Fourth of July weekend here at this wonderful farm, and wish we didn’t have to go back to the real world. The accommodations are truly spectacular with the wonderful views of the surrounding farms. The alpacas and their guard dogs are beautiful and sweet. Our wonderful hosts took the time out of their day and were kind enough to show us the intricacies of running a sustainable farm. We don’t know the when, but we know we will be back. So if you get the chance and opportunity to stay here, do it, you won’t regret it.

Incredible experience, something anyone of any age can enjoy. We’re a 25 year old couple and absolutely loved our stay. The hosts were incredibly nice, not overbearing what so ever. Place was 10/10 clean and comfortable. Feeding and meeting the alpacas was absolutely awesome and I learned a ton. We will remember this forever and are forever thanking ourselves for staying here instead of a hotel!

We love the Willamette Valley and settled here about 5 years ago. We bought our first Alpacas in August of 2017 (5) and now we have a herd of 18 and growing. We live on the property, but interact with you as much or as little as you would like. We had a guest that stayed a week and it was a spiritual retreat and we only communicated via notes and let her totally rejuvenate on the property.

Why they chose this property

Our property is quiet with beautiful sunsets you can enjoy from the hammock swings in the Big Oak tree in the front of the unit or on the covered front porch. It is far enough away to relax in the country but you can easily (35 minute drive) get to rivers, hiking, wineries, antique shops and lovely small towns to shop and explore.

What makes this property unique

We have a lovely store on the property, and we sell Alpaca socks, hats, scarves, yarn and other fun alpaca related gifts or souvenirs. We will take you to the Barns and tell you all about Alpacas, with plenty of time for pictures and hand feeding the animals. We will light fire in the fire pit and even provide the makings for smores for a nice romantic evening. We provide, muffins, Coffee, cream, sugar, Oatmeal, Popcorn and snacks to enjoy in the unit.
