Climbing/Hiking Trip

The cabin was great. Rustic but modern at the same time. No TV or internet was an unexpected pleasure. It was our first time in the area but we will definitely be back. The climbing and hiking were awesome!

Weekend stay in a quiet peaceful setting

The cabin is in a beautiful setting. Quiet and peaceful but being next to the road you still feel connected. Other cabins in a short distance and a great layout and amenities. Check in and out great communication. No cellphone coverage was a bonus but a bit of a surprise.

Everything you need to get away

Comfortable place to come home to after all day hiking. There is no cell reception which is both a feature but something to keep in mind (download maps on your phone for offline use) . My friends and I loved it. No four wheel drive needed to park. Nearest grocery store is 25.minutes away.

Tall Timbers is a great cabin

Such an adorable cabin, and you'll get your stair workout in too. No drafty windows, lovely warm wood finishes throughout, ceiling fans, a burbling creek right at your front porch. Very convenient location for accessing the north half of the Gorge. I heard a barred owl and a whipoorwill as well as tons of smaller songbirds right from the porch. The ONLY downside was the mattress in the master suite, which had a firmness somewhere between a really stale candy circus peanut and a very soft rock, but if you do enough hiking I promise you'll still manage to fall asleep on it. If you're planning a less active vacation, maybe bring a mattress pad. The hot water warms super fast and it's plentiful! Remind yourself that mineral springs have attracted humans for ages and try to appreciate the aroma as part of the experience. I loved this place and will definitely try to rent it again.

Great outdoors

My family and I enjoyed our stay so much. This old school cabin was just the feel I had been searching for. Being so close to Nada tunnel was a big hit, especially for my kids. All the hiking you can handle right there. We had the best days hiking and coming back to the cozy cabin for a nice private fire and the board game selection was perfect! We were surprised there was a tv. I’m actually happy there was no service as far as phones and internet!! We plan on returning ASAP!
