This is a massive, bright Victorian row house with high ceilings in the most vibrant part of DC. A block from U St, 1.5 blocks from Shaw Metro (green/yellow lines).
You will have exclusive use of the entire main house. The first level includes a large living room with soaring ceilings, an office space with desk and neighborhood views, portable Bluetooth Bose speaker, a half bath, and eat-in kitchen with tons of counter space and everything you need to prepare and enjoy a wonderful meal at home. The table in the kitchen opens up to seat four guests (there are two additional chairs in the home to complete the seating).
The second level contains two bedrooms, each with en suite bathrooms, high ceilings, ceiling fans, and plenty of natural light. The master bedrooms has a smart tv. There is a private courtyard in the back with two Adirondack rockers and wrought iron dining set for four. There are oversized washer and dryer in the basement as well as an iron and ironing board.
Although there is no TV in the living room, if guests prefer to have the TV in the living room instead of the bedroom, that can sometimes be arranged or you may carefully move the light TV as long as you move it back. Feel free to ask!
Gigabit fiber internet- ideally set up for remote work, play, sightseeing when in DC.
The kitchen has an abundance of spices, utensils, dishes, and pots and pans. We also have a coffee maker, microwave, hot water heater, and instant pot. If you have any questions about anything we have on hand, please let us know.
Need additional space? Ask about renting the converted carriage house behind the main house. It sleeps two additional people and has its own living area with tv, a kitchen, dining table, and full bathroom (with shower).
The home is in a very diverse, historic and bustling part of DC. Close to hip bars and some of the best restaurants in the city. You are really in the heart of the most exciting part of DC right now and steps from the Metro. For light sleepers and those sensitive to city noises, we offer ear plugs and noise dampening fans in each bedroom.
