About this property
Fun Chalet on 125 ft Big Glen Lake!
NOTE: Weekly Rentals only, Sunday to Sunday. PLEASE CONTACT BEFORE BOOKING.
You’ll fall in love with the views and crystal clear Caribbean Blue water at Bearfoot Glen, a chalet-style cottage located on 125’ of Big Glen Lake, just 3 minutes from downtown Glen Arbor.
This modern cottage, including central A/C, has 3 bathrooms, 3 bedrooms (including the open loft with dedicated master bath, walk in closet, and king size bed), and it also has a bunk room in the walkout lower level that sleeps 6 more children, comfortably accommodating up to 6 adults and 6 kids.
Enjoy swimming in the hard sand bottom frontage of Big Glen lake, which stays shallow for hundreds of feet off of shore (perfect for children); lounge and enjoy a glass of wine on the 20ft x 24ft dock patio; or get adventurous and use the 2 stand up paddle boards or 2 2-person kayaks which are complimentary for guest use. Kids will love playing in the lakeside fort, complete with swings and 3 slides, while not catching minnows. In the evening, everyone can enjoy s’mores and stories by the large lakeside fire pit or dine al fresco on the deck overlooking the lake.
Should you decide to go exploring, you are less than 2 minutes from park land in the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore and all it has to offer — miles of beaches, hiking trails, Pierce Stocking scenic drive, the iconic Dune Climb, and much more. Or if you prefer, take in some live music and a libation at one of the many nearby restaurants, vineyards, or craft breweries.
And don’t let a rainy day spoil the fun, as the LL game room is filled with board games, a shuffleboard table, ping pong, and an arcade machine which plays more than 100 classics. Mrs. Pac-Man tournament anyone?
The cottage has all the comforts of home, including washer and dryer and is well-equipped with pots, pans, a propane grill and a charcoal grill. The cottage is primarily used by the owners as their summer residence and it is available for only a very few weeks of the year.
Please note: $1,000 refundable damage deposit and $1,000 down payment due at booking, with balance due 90 days prior to occupancy (or at time of booking if less than 90 days).
We look forward to having you as a guest and sharing a bit of our Up North Paradise!

About the host
Hosted by Jason Paupore

Originally from Kalamazoo, we now
live much of the year in Naples, Florida. In the summer, we’re blessed to be able to return to Leelanau County, where members of our family have lived since the late 1800s. Passing along the natural wonders of this special area to our 3 daughters (and our Labrador pup) is one of our greatest pleasures!
