About this property

Adorable Mountain Getaway

Secluded cabin located in a private, gated subdivision. The cabin sits on Musick Creek with two decks that roll down to the creek. The view is the creek and the woods and is very private.

Walking distance to Restaurants and shops. Listen to the creek from inside and out. Decorated to preserve the quaint cabin feeling while providing the latest in amenities. This is a real cabin that was originally built in the 1940's and remodeled in 2008. Interior is all knotty pine with maple wood floors in the living room, loft and bedrooms, tile in the kitchen and laundry room, and a rock fireplace.

Approximately 1 mile to Shaver Lake. Approx. 20 min. to China Peak Ski Resort.

Perfect stay
This was a truly terrific home away from home experience for us. The host provided everything we needed and the home was well taken care of. We loved the location close to the lake, the way the house was nestled inside of huge granite boulders, and especially the tranquil spot to enjoy the stream out back with coffee or a meal. We loved all the native plants on the property. It was quiet and private -- we didn't even really see any other neighbors while there for the week. It worked really nicely for us too because there was plenty of space for two teenage boys to have their own floor of the home. It was just lovely! Thank you to the hosts for sharing your home with us!

Beautiful House, well kept, nice owner, fully equipped, very close to town, walking trails, next to a small stream. WiFi, cable, heaters in every room. I would definitely go there again.

Winter Hideaway
We had a wonderful stay at this cabin. It was very cozy with the fireplace and room heaters. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils, pots and pans. We would highly recommend staying here.

Our family has stayed at this cabin several times in the past, but hadn't been there since 2016. Hadn't changed at all. Great time and great memories! Sad to see the devastation from the fire in the vacinity, but not at the cabin. Amazing job by fire crews to save the town!

Amazing Old School Shaver Lake
This is a beautifully renovated/maintained original “Shaver Lake” cabin. Cozy getaway with amazing charm. We have rented/owned at Shaver/Huntington for 60 years and this cabin is how it’s supposed to be, loved it!

Fairytale cabin
This is the cutest cabin. It was so homey, quiet and peaceful. It's small, but the space is well used and feels comfortable inside and out. My family very much enjoyed our time here. I think the only downsides were the lack of a dishwasher and the bed on the bottom floor is squeaky.

Quick Vacation to Shaver Lake
I brought my two boys, ages 18 and 21, to Shaver Lake for a quick vacation. We loved the cabin, it was perfect for a family of 4. We ran into one issue at the cabin but the owner responded within minutes and solved our issue...great communication and Thanks!!! We will come again!

My family and I have been coming to Shaver Lake since I was 12 years old. We are all boaters and skiers. Shaver Lake is a beautiful lake with just about every water sport imaginable. You can rent ski boats, fishing boats, party barge pontoons, jet skis and kayaks. There are some great places to eat and quaint shops. It is also located just a few miles from China Peak Ski Resort. This place is great year round...

What makes this property unique

It is absolutely serene and private, yet within walking distance to town and the lake. It also sits on Musick creek and the deck goes right down to the creek. Quite often we awake to deer drinking in the creek. The cabin has no paint on the inside - all knotty pine walls and ceilings and maple wood floors. If you enjoy a real mountain feeling and staying in a cabin that makes you feel away from it all, this is it...
