Well maintained, beautiful property. Just a total pleasure to be able to stay here for our first family vacation since our kids had kids. Recommend highly.
Our group of eleven was very comfortable! The house was spotless and well equipped!
Loved the location by the water! And the large lawn was great for ball games!
Would definitely recommend!
We had an amazing time at this property! A group of ten adults, seamless check in, very clean and nice open space, amazing communication with the property owner, gorgeous views! We were able to get some reception with AT&T which was nice in case of emergency with our kids who were back home! Looking to plan our next trip!
The open floor plan was nice for our big thanksgiving family gathering. The view was nice and the place was clean. Maybe a game table like pool or air hockey would be a nice addition. Look forward to renting again in the future.
The house was beautiful and very comfortable. There seems to be an issue with the heat, maybe air in the lines, because it makes an awful noise sometimes. Also something wrong with the hot water, not enough for even 1 person to take a shower all weekend.
The property was the perfect place for a family gathering. The home has a wide open floor plan which meant even with a full house, you did not feel cramped. The home had 6 individual bedrooms, all of which are similar in size, which was a great feature as most properties that can accommodate a larger number of guests have situations where multiple beds are in a single room. This place allowed you to be close and yet have your privacy all at the same time. We used the property to host Easter dinner with our family and the large dining room table was perfect for a large family feast. Beautiful views and the creek is just a short walk through the yard. I would agree that a pool table or dart board would be an excellent addition to the property. We had a great time and would definitely book again!
Wonderful location right on Pine Creek. Perfect for our large gathering of siblings. The upper floor has lots of well lit space for activities, outdoor and indoor dining, and relaxation. It includes a large, well equipped kitchen with an island. The downstairs has two well equipped baths and six bedrooms with very comfortable beds. The upstairs large and heavy furniture allowed for multiple activities to be happening in the space. From the upper porch you look out at the meadow and Pine Creek where we saw wildlife and birds. It was a wonderful space for a family gathering. You do currently have to boil water for drinking, or bring water. The Host was very responsive and helpful. We really enjoyed our time, and hope to return again soon.
Beach Roost is a lovely property set back on the Pine Creek. It is huge and perfect for large groups although in our case there were only 4 of us. We loved the proximity to an abundance of hiking trails and also the local outfitter where we rented bikes for riding on the Rail Trail.
We were not lacking for amenities such as washer & dryer, AC ( we had an unusually hot week), fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds. But . . .
It seems obvious in the United States to expect potable water in a modern accommodation. But the first thing we read in the property guide book was that we needed to boil the water before ingesting. Prior to our trip we read reviews that mentioned the water not smelling good, so we brought gallons of bottled water with us, thank goodness. It was an inconvenience but this fact should be stated in the property listing so guests are not caught unawares.
Great cabin that felt clean, comfortable, and was a super relaxing location to spend a weekend with some extended family! Very spacious and great outdoor space!
