Me and my friends stayed here for French Quarter festival and it was fantastic. The owners were very attentive and understanding. Would definitely stay here again.
Great location - close enough, but still away from the chaos from the French Quarter. Great grocery store across the street and terrific coffee and bookstore below the unit. Parking is on street, if you're lucky enough to get a spot. Said it sleep 12, that is if you want to share a bed. Couch needs some work, kind of falls down when you lean back.Bathrooms are great!
Great home base / jump point for Frenchman St and French Quarter
Our group of 9 had a great time at this place, and it was actually more convenient that we expected. There is a cafe right there and a whole grocery store literally across the street. We were able to comfortably walk to Frenchman Street and the French Quarter while we stayed. Everything was very clean and organized. It's just the reality that with old/historic houses, they have to get creative with what they can renovate where they can add beds. The bedrooms were actually a nice size, although there were a couple tight spaces in a couple of the bathrooms, like the sinks kind of have to be small and in a 'corner', but there is pretty much no other option since that's what can fit. On the other hand, one of the bathrooms was massive! Anyway, the renovations they've done are really nice, the Kitchen/Living Room was easy for us to all hang out in, with various couch, chair, and kitchen island spots. We were all comfortable and perfectly safe and would be happy to recommend this place to others. The owner was quick and responsive to questions so I imagine if you have any questions or concerns you want to clarify they would be happy to answer.
This place is beautiful and worked perfectly for our trip. We did have a few issues with the plumbing but the host was very responsive to our messages. It was a very easy walk to all the downtown attractions. Overall we had a great stay.
This property is absolutely beautiful. We had 4 couples, and the property worked fantastically for us. Great Neighborhood and very close to the Quarter. The owners were very easy to work with. Lots of nice "neighborhood" shops/restaurants/bars/bakeries within just a 5 minute walk. Would absolutely recommend.
We stayed as a family, 16 - 22 years old. The kids had plenty of space and things to do. The location is very accessible to the quarter and to the Marigny neighborhood. We walked everywhere. The place is clean, stylish and has all the amenities we could ask for.
The property was perfect for our group. The house was clean and the beds were comfortable. My only issue was that a jazz band played right next door until 2 a.m on Friday night and then again until midnight on Sunday making it absolutely impossible to sleep. The location was about a 12 dollar Uber ride to bourbon or Frenchmen. There was a nice market across the street. I would not stay here again if I knew there were events next door.
This house is perfect for multiple adults. Each room has their own bathroom and the common area is very spacious. Beds and beddings are great. Keypad entry is great. Only downside was the courtyard next to the property had parties Friday and Saturday night till 2:00 AM. Not sure if it was because it’s Jazzfest weekend but it was loud and hard to sleep.
The apartment is much nicer and more spacious than others we considered. The location is still close enough to the French Quarter and Bourbon street that we could walk most places, but we sometimes called an Uber.
The listing does need to be updated with the number of beds per room, it wasn't a problem for us in the end and the host told us when we asked.
We had plenty of room for all 9 guests who stayed, and even have a couple more join us.
The neighborhood is at the edge of the touristy area, but we felt safe in our rental. Further north got a little rougher, but nothing that would keep me from staying again.
Perfect set up for large family or four couples. Very comfortable beds and luxurious bathrooms. Only caution is the steep steps to access the space. No railing! This wasn’t an issue for us but may be for some.
The property is located above a coffee/book shop; makes it really easy to grab coffee; the staff is very friendly. There is a Starbucks across the street as well as a small market to pick up food/alcohol. If you're looking for a 'view over the city,' it sits in a neighborhood on 2 very busy streets - don't expect a French Quarter/City view.
THE POSITIVE: Property was clean on first glance and each bedroom does have it's own bathroom, plus there's a 1/2 bath in the hallway. Works well for a large group. Though the hallway bathroom door does not have a handle (it's an old door) to close the door.
Kitchen and living area is nice and large.
THE BAD: no hot water in either sink in the large bedroom with the open bathroom. Plus..when the tile gets wet...its VERY slippery. Another bedroom w/double sinks had one operable sink. The clawfoot tubs must be decorative - neither had a working stopper. The island's electrical outlet does not work. Dryer took over 2.5 hours to dry clothes and the couch had large stains.
There were VERY LOUD house parties lasting until 5-5:30 a.m. below the unit and in an outside private courtyard - VERY LOUD.
Overall, if you're just looking for a space for a large group - we were traveling w/8 adults - for sleeping, it works. I contacted the Owner regarding the plumbing issues and his comment was "I'll see what I can do" - nothing was ever repaired and no contact was made with any update so we worked with what we had.
We absolutely loved our stay here. The location was great; neighborhood was quiet but it was super close to anything and everything you would want to do in NOLA. I’ve been to NOLA a handful of times, and this is my favorite place I’ve stayed, by far. The decor and decoration was beautiful, check in was seamless, and the coffee shop downstairs was definitely a highlight for us, as my group contained a lot of coffee junkies. Will definitely be renting this spot again for my next trip to NO!
The apartment was beautiful, modern and extremely clean. The number of beds and large bathrooms made it very comfortable for our group. The kitchen and living room were perfect for eating in and relaxing together. The only thing to be aware of is the location is near a busy street and train crossing so it is noisy at night. You could hear cars and trains most of the night.
Would recommend this spot! Me and 10 friends stayed for a bachelorette party. Location was clean, with ample room for everyone, walking distance to Frenchman, and John was very communicative if we needed any assistance.
My husband, me and 6 of our friends rented this house to do all of our first NOLA trip. There’s 4 bedrooms each with their own attached bathrooms. The space is so nice and so clean. The living and kitchen area was great for everyone to convene. The coffee shop underneath was so cute and had great drinks. Was in perfect location to easily see French quarter, bourbon street, garden district, etc. would 100% rent again and recommend to any friends. Owner was a pleasure talking to via app and always answered questions quickly.
I stayed with some buddies for Jazzfest, and we had a wonderful time. The property is clean with some modern touches. It's in a great location above a bookstore with a coffee shop. We particularly appreciated that it's just a short walk to the lively nightlife scene on Frenchman Street.
Gorgeous apartment in Marigny with historical charm.
This apartment is such a gem! It is beautifully renovated, with original features that keep the historical charm. The decor was upscale and whimsical. We stayed with 11 adults, and we all felt it was a real treat to stay here. The beds were super comfy, and there was sooo much room!! The location was a 15-20 min walk to anything in the French Quarter of interest. We truly enjoyed our walks, looking at the amazing architecture in the area. We were blocks away from Frenchmen Street, where there are wonderful restaurants, bars, and open air art markets. There was a grocery store right across the street and a Walgreens around the corner. The owner was very accommodating. We highly recommend this place!!
Booked this stay for a large group of friends to get together and explore New Orleans. Location was perfect - 10 minute walk to bars and restaurants on Frenchmen. Check in was easy and flexible - able to get in a little earlier when our flight landed early. Loved the coffee/bookshop on the first floor and it was wonderful to be able to store our luggage there after checkout on Sunday before our flights. Plenty of space, super clean, having 4.5 bathrooms was amazing! Kitchen was beautiful and beds were extremely comfortable. We had a fabulous time!
