Great stay. Location is amazing. Just need to update photo - house is no longer red. We passed it on arrival because we were looking for a red house :)
Enjoyed our stay and the location was perfect. Beach was not overly crowded on labor day and the house was overall comfortable. The main bedroom stays pretty warm and the matresses could use updates but overal we enjoyed our time there.
We enjoyed our stay. Everything was as it was described in the listing and the house was solid enough to take the tropical storm winds. Elevator is great and made things so much easier when carrying in supplies. Thanks to the gracious host for allowing us to enjoy the beach front home
We have stayed at many Beachfront Pet Friendly Beach Homes, and LOVE Safari Shores❣️The host is SUPERB!! Already booking our nearly 2 week stay for next year❣️
Lovely spacious property. Elevator was amazing for bags! Can’t wait to return!

Vacation
The house was not red as picture indicated so we passed it the first time. It has been painted white. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. House was not as clean as expected, but bedding was clean.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us again. We have stayed here before the week of Thanksgiving and it feels like our home away from home. Great location and your home is cozy, clean and spacious.
There were a few issues. The skylight over the laundry area has leaked enough recently that the material around the skylight is peeling off leaving flakes of drywall on the machines and laundry. We killed some roaches but understand this may be a common issue at the shore. Ants invaded the bedroom downstairs. On a positive note it’s a large roomy house with beach access and comfortable furnishings.
This property was just perfect. Clean, stocked well, right on the beach. Away from the busier areas by only a few minutes and so peaceful. The elevator was a lifesaver for us. The view from the upstairs master is spectacular!
We have been staying here for almost ten years for two months. It is the perfect place for us with our dog. The area is perfect-the unit clean-the maintenance folks east to work with-the house a gun place! Love lt!
Family Vacation Destnation for the Last Nine Years
Our family loves the layout, roominess and location of this property and have been coming here year after year. The property upkeep is really good and the owners (managers) very responsive to your needs. Well stocked and well managed. We plan to keep coming to the beautiful "Red Neck Riviera" for our annual family Summer vacation!
Everything was great except the deck. Cheap plastic chairs. We didn’t feel safe sitting in them. Plus there was not enough seating. My son sat down at the picnic table because there wasn’t enough seating. It was dark and he didn’t see that it was rusted and falling apart. It broke and he fell on the deck hurting himself. I reached out to the property manage telling her what happened and never heard from her.
We had a great time at this property. My son changed the fuse in the elevator so it worked for us and was a life saver. This house has a big family area, nice kitchen, w/d on both floors and beautiful master suite. It’s clos to everything. I would recommend a stay
My family and I have stayed in this beach house for 10 years, and that says a lot! We love the location with it being close to Waves and the ice cream shop! The updated floors were an added bonus, especially with it being a pet friendly house. We had an air conditioning problem that we noticed at about 10 one night, and before we went to bed, it was fixed. Super quick response time! The elevator is also an added bonus! This house is amazing!
We really enjoyed our stay at Safari Shores.
Walk straight out to the beach. There were turtles that had nested and hatched during our week.
The area itself was way less hectic on our west end than towards Orange Beach and more east.
Property description and amenities were spot-on. Kitchen had everything we needed for cooking all meals, washer and dryer downstairs and upstairs was a huge bonus with our large group.
The elevator was a life saver of a feature!
Melissa was quick to respond to the few questions we had pre-stay and during our stay.
Easy to recommend staying at Safari Shores.

10th Year at Safari Shores
Great property that needs some basic upkeep, cleaning and maintenance. Elevator was not operable all week which was somewhat of a problem because we had a daughter with us recovering from cancer and we had to help her up the stairs.
Great experience. Excellent air conditioning on main floor, acceptable upstairs. Beds very comfortable. Kitchen stocked well. Did not see one single alive roach inside or outside the house. Found one dead roach in master in a desk drawer. Elevator was not working entire stay, not a deal breaker but would have been very nice for moving in and departing with luggage. Plenty of beach chairs in garage closet. Only grills were charcoal, lighter fluid was plentiful but had to purchase charcoal. Beach was very close, front row of beach filled up everyday, did not feel cramped at all. Renters to the right were very noisy, adults stayed ip partying to 5 am a couple of nights, 7 or 8 kids very loud during the day. Overall a great place to stay at Gulf Shores. Would not hesitate to stay again, but I believe the house may not be active on VRBO any more.
Arriving at the property in the evening searching for a red house was tricky since it is now white. Great fenced in yard for dogs. Elevator was helpful in getting luggage up to the main floor. Lots of room in the house. Easy access to the beach. Pantry and kitchen pretty well stocked. The outside storage room had tons of beach chairs, wagons, umbrellas, boogie boards and such. Overall a great experience. Some pretty loud neighbors (from outside) but the house was pretty sound proof. Would totally stay there again. Super close to everything and food and stores in walking distance.
Safari Shores is perfect for adult beach visitors.
We have so many items we loved about Safari Shores, so I will list a few.
The beach was right outside the door and there was a turtle nest right in our path to the water. We were hoping for hatching during our week there but it didn't occur.
We also loved the fact there were 4 king size beds, perfect for adult couples!
Another of our loved items was the 3 different thermostats/AC units allowing our elderly parents to be warmer in their bedroom while having the remainder of the house cool.
The kitchen was stocked great with everything we needed to cook if we wanted to and a 12 cup coffee pot!
There was a washer and dryer on the top floor as well as the main floor which made washing up beach towels and swim suits quick work.
OH, the best part, the elevator!
I will definitely recommend Safari Shores and stay again.

Disappointed and Frustrating
Upon arrival, the home was not easily identified since the house color differed from the listing. Several things in the home were not actually like the listing. We started off with not being able to get the master lock open for the key but luckily the front door had a code. Additionally, the elevator was not usable. It seems that a previous tenant might not have shut the door properly so it would not open inside or out. Wwe had to carry everything up and down the stairs in both check-in and check-out. The door to the deck was broken and the way it locked was by putting a board down to hold the door in place. The deck didn't exit to the beach which was unexpected. Some of the furniture had rust on it which was expected to some degree at the beach but not in the main room. None of the tv's in the house worked except the one in the main room. All others were giving a connection error and reboots of things didn't help. I could go on but it would be a long list. I contacted the owner upon arrival and even contacted maintenance. Not a single response to any of the problems we were having in the house. Especially, the elevator. I have an elderly mother and all of the stair climbing was brutal on her that she ended up in pain where she laid in a bed for two days with leg cramping and back pain. This was the worst vrbo experience and not at all worth the money we paid. The lack of response to any concerns, starting from the first day of our trip to the last was infuriating.
We stayed here for our annual October friends trip and everything was absolutely perfect! There were 6 (2 couples/2 singles) of us with plenty of elbow room and space to mingle with every amenity you could need. Property was super clean, the beds were comfortable, and the A/C rocked. The 1st level elevator was a great perk too! The location was perfect; directly on the beach and also walking distance to a close bar/restaurant/general store for anything you might need (like a frozen cocktail for sundown maybe? ;) ) Communication was prompt and we had no issues with stay. Highly recommended and would stay again without hesitation.
