The perfect cabin for a large group!

We stayed here with 3 other families, a trip we've done numerous times now. This was by far our favorite vacation rental for our group! The views were spectacular, the location was super close to several attractions, and it felt very private. Will be staying here again!

Private property with beautiful views

Our family had a wonderful stay here. Our family especially enjoyed the pool table and the beautiful views. The property is very secluded and just what we needed to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The customer service and communication from Blue ridge mountain rentals was absolutely amazing. Would definitely recommend!

Renter Beware

Upon arrival, we were immediately disappointed. I would not stay here again. Two "bedrooms" in the basement with bunkbeds are not bedrooms. They are storage nooks. Neither room has a door or closet. One room has a strange hole in the floor covered by a piece of plywood. These rooms were VERY hot at night. Here is a list of issues, some of which were addressed during our stay:-The hot tub did not have water-The last step to the basement was loose and was hazardous-The pool table in the basement is a piece of junk-There was a large pile of garbage on the deck-The garage is full of broken furniture and other trash-The kitchen lacked simple tools such as a can opener or measuring cups-The ladders to the bunkbeds were missing screws and hazardous-Ceiling fans were full of thick dust

Mountain paradise.

We could not have been more pleased with the experience of our stay. Every little detail was met from things to cook with and alcohol shakers to makeup remover wipes in the bathroom. Every detail of the house was perfectly decorated and a pleasure to look at not to mention our spectacular back patio view. The location was just the right distance from being tucked away from everyone with the ability to enjoy outdoor experiences close by. We loved your cabin and would recommend it to anyone who asked.

A splendid experience

My friends, who are essentially my family embarked on our annual ‘league trip’ to fulfill another fantasy football draft. We’ve done league trips for a decade. This spot came onto my feed with just 2 prior reviews. The price and pictures were intriguing. Fast forward to night one and everyone already had agreed…. This was number 1. What a gem. The pictures don’t do justice.

Beautiful secluded cabin with Mountain views

We had a total of 9 adults and 1 child, on arrival we were greeted by a very tall extravagant privacy fence that made us all giddy. The home is exactly as described and showed in photos. The road leading up to home is paved but very steep so if going during winter months be prepared. Distance to sugar mountain and beech mountain is Approx 30 mins. The good/ beds were extremely comfortable, plenty of towels and complimentary bath soaps and shampoos, kitchen was well stocked with most necessities. Home is modern and updated including huge walk in showers, smart TVs in every room, wood burning fire places. Views were incredible, hot tub was clean and perfect for our family. Needs improvements/ living room furniture is visually pleasing, but not very comfortable to snuggle up on, gas stove wouldn’t get hot enough to boil a pot of water but we made due, air hockey table was sadly broken! Overall we enjoyed our stay and are very pleased with our 1 week vacation.

Beautiful cabin; a few issues

This is a lovely cabin with plenty of room for the extended family. The location is remote and the views are beautiful. Beds are comfy, and the property management company is very communicative. Three things to be aware of: you will find that you could have rented this property through the property management company (Blue Ridge Rentals) for quite a bit less than through VRBO. When I mentioned the discrepancy between my contract amount and VRBO, the rental company suggested I take it up with VRBO because they are the ones charging the additional fees. Of course they would not do anything about this, and it made me feel like I'd been snookered. Less concerning, when we arrived at the cabin we saw that the hot tub was missing half its hard cover and the remaining soft leather part of the cover was lying in the tub and was filled with water. We bailed out the water, turned up the temperature, turned on the breaker switch, and stretched the soft part of the cover over the top of the hot tub to protect it. It never warmed up beyond 87 degrees, however, so no one could use it. And last, there was plenty of dishes, glasses, and silverware in the kitchen (which had a lovely double oven), but I didn't have enough pots to cook meals for my family, nor enough casserole dishes, or a platter to plate meat, and only 2-3 kitchen towels were available. I left tin casserole pans that I purchased locally for the next guests, but be aware cooking pots are a little skimpy for big families.

Birthday weekend

The location and cabin itself were gorgeous and the views were top notch. The issues we had were regarding the communication with the property owners. The AC was not working and I originally sent a text message when we arrived but it was left unanswered. It was out of business hours so I understood. However, the AC still wasn’t working the next day and I had called and spoke to numerous people and went back and forth all day and didn’t up getting a resolution until almost midnight. The AC had issues they couldn’t fix during our stay. Their solution was to put boxes in the window which is better than nothing but it was definitely still hot (had been almost 80 and very humid the whole time) and our guests were very uncomfortable and complained most of the weekend. They traveled a long way and payed a lot of money so they were understandably upset. I wish the communication was better and the timelessness of addressing issues was better because I had to consistently stop what I was doing and check in because they said they would keep me updated but didn’t. Overall the property was great, the views were stunning but the communication with the staff could use improvement.

Gorgeous pet friendly log cabin!

From the first communication with Blue Ridge Rental, this has been an incredible experience. Gorgeous new property with comfortable beds, many amenities, plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms, a game room, and a well appointed pantry/coffee bar area. The game room downstairs was great, such thought has gone into decorating this home. Our group of 14 loved it & the views were stunning from sun up to sun down. Grateful for the Thanksgiving memories! Our only recommendation is that we wish there was more cozy furniture in the family/great room! That’s it!
