About this property

Easter Open! "Hummingbird", Glamping in the Smokies! Pet Friendly, Campfire Fun, Rocking Chairs

Unwind under the Stars,

Make S'mores sitting around the campfire,

Relax on the porch, enjoy the rocking chairs as well as the sights and sounds of the mountains.

Whether your vacation plans include time to "Rest & Relax" or to "Shop 'til you Drop", you can find it here at Hummingbird cabin in the Great Smoky Mountains.

This cozy Smoky Mountain cabin is ideal for 1-4 guests. Plus the cabin is Pet Friendly for approved, well-mannered, non-aggressive, housetrained pets. Pet fee applies for each pet.

Hummingbird cabin is located at Bird's Creek campground, near the Arts & Crafts community in Sevierville, TN. Visit the Arts & Crafts community to see local artisans and craftsmen at work! Grab a bite to eat, walk through the area and tour local shops.

The campground is cozy, quiet and nestled in a scenic creek-side mountain holler.

From the cabin's porch and dining room picture window, you'll enjoy views of the pretty meadow (green space) between the cabin and the campers, plus see and here cows from the neighboring property as they follow their creek side trail up the hill each day to graze.

Hummingbird is the only cabin in this sweet little campground and it's conveniently located just minutes away from the famous Arts & Crafts community. The cabin is also tucked 1/2 way between all the action is downtown Gatlinburg and the Pigeon Forge Parkway.

Pet Friendly Cabin - We travel with our pets so we know that finding a pet friendly cabin is important. Hummingbird cabin is pet friendly. We welcome well-mannered, house-trained pets with the payment of a reasonable pet fee per pet. In addition to the pets being well-mannered and house trained, we ask that pet owners agree to pick up after their pets, that pets are walked on leash when outside the cabin, and that pets are not left alone and unattended outside the cabin.

You’ll love the peaceful park-like setting in the Old Birds Creek Campground. Located in a lovely “Holler” the campground also has a crystal-clear creek, a gorgeous rolling hill backdrop, and a grassy meadow in the center to complete the idyllic picture.

Features & Amenities include:

~ Campfire fire ring where you can build your own small bonfire to roast hot dogs, make S’mores, and enjoy a starry night.

~ The cabin features a large Roku-equipped flat screen TV in addition to a Sony Playstation 4, there are 2 controllers and a built-in library of popular titles for when you would like to enjoy a lazy day in ultimate comfort.

~ Off-street parking space for 1 vehicle in gravel area at right of cabin. Note: there's a 2nd parking space in the gravel area which is reserved for campground guests using the free onsite laundry room.

If you need to park a 2nd vehicle, motorcycle trailer or something else? Let us know if advance what you need to park, describe the vehicle including size (length and width) so that we can find out if an extra vehicle or trailer is approved, if there’s room to park it and where, AND the additional cost. Most of our spots are already assigned, so space is limited.

Once you’ve parked, just walk up a few steps (4-5) and you are on the cabin’s covered front porch complete with rocking chairs, beautiful view and a brand-new propane BBQ grill. In the evening you can keep an eye on the bonfire from the front porch and enjoy the fresh mountain air and star-filled sky by firelight.

Inside the cabin is a unique and efficient floor plan. Walk through the cabin’s front door and into a nicely equipped, modern eat-in kitchen with stainless steel appliances and dining table for 4 people. To the right is a door that leads into the master bedroom featuring a queen size bed with memory foam mattress and private attached bathroom with shower. The surprisingly spacious master bedroom also comes equipped with a Roku-equipped flat screen TV in addition to a Sony Playstation 4, two controllers and a built-in library of popular titles for when you would like to enjoy a lazy day in ultimate comfort.

The entryway to your left upon entering the cabin features a privacy curtain and leads to the living room which also doubles as the 2nd sleeping area. Adjacent to the living room is a full bathroom with shower. The living room sofa opens into a queen size sofa sleeper with comfy memory foam mattress.

The living room also features a comfy upholstered chair and Roku-equipped flat screen TV with popular streaming services such as Netflix, Disney+ and ESPN included. You’ll love the convenience of a 2nd bathroom in the cabin. If you need two beds during your stay, simply fold out the sofa sleeper when you need to make it into a bed. Very easy! Note: For the comfort of our guests, we do not typically recommend using the sofa sleeper for more than one adult. We have a maximum limit of four guests at the cabin due to its size, and we recommend no more than 3 adults, as we do not think sofa sleepers make for a comfortable sleeping option for more than a single adult. However, we do leave this up to our guest discretion if they have two adults that are okay with using the sofa sleeper.

Located conveniently adjacent to the cabin is the campground laundry room, which guests have full access to. There is no charge to use the washers or dryers, just make sure to have laundry soap with you.

Hummingbird’s is centrally located; far enough from the bustle of town and yet close enough to be convenient to anything you want to do and see in and around Gatlinburg!

~ Drive just 10 minutes to Hwy 321 which leads into Downtown Gatlinburg with local shops and restaurants (20 minutes). Drive just a bit to the main entrance of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park (25 minutes), and to Ober Gatlinburg Ski Area and Amusements (25 minutes).

~ The world-famous Arts and Crafts district is just 5 minutes from the cabin. Also, all the dinner shows, spectacles and amusements of Pigeon Forge are just a 10 drive from the cabin!

~ In addition to Arts and Crafts there are also terrific local restaurants in the Arts and Crafts area, so breakfast, lunch, dinner and Happy Hour is just a short drive from the cabin.

Select your dates today and book your stay at Hummingbird cabin!

The fresh mountain air, the sounds of the creek and birds are just what you need.

Comfortable and lovely cabin

We definitely enjoyed our stay. Wish it would have been a little more private. I’m not sure if I missed in the description that it is located in a small long term RV park but everyone seem nice. The only small issue was the little kids running and playing around the cabin.

Great little cabin

Perfect cabin in a great location. Away from all the noise of tourists but yet close enough to go do things and then come back to relaxation. Rocking on the front porch was the best. I would definitely sray here again

Great little cabin

Was a great stay and perfect spot. Floors were dirty as feet/slocks were noticeably dirty when walking around but this was understandable with it being a cabin in area it was. Everything else was very clean. Interior/exterior was well maintained and updated. Only real complaint was pullout sofa bed was not really usuable as the matress was so old and flat. If we had brought our air matress or one was offered it would have been perfect. However the stay was awesome and would stay again if we came back to the area

Wonderful Stay !!!

We loved the simplicity of our small cabin, which was all we needed for just the 2 of us. Cabin close enough to get to shopping/show’s. But quite & peaceful when we were there. Would definitely stay again.

Very rustic

The cabin is nice enough. I have an issue with what is not told upfront. We were informed after check in of the rules . We were responsible for washing, drying and putting away dishes, and taking the trash to the dump. That meant postponing our departure until at least 8 a.m. when the dump opened. There was nothing extra provided. We had to go to the store for soap etc. I just felt we weren’t informed in detail what to expect. I’m curious what a cleaning fee is for? We had to pay a cleaning fee and yet, we had to do a portion of the cleaning. It took away from our stay.

Peaceful stay in cute cabin

Loved our visit. The cabin had everything we needed and it was very cute. The location is a bit remote - be prepared to drive 20-30 minutes to get to the tourist attractions in the area - but the plus side is it's exceptionally quiet. We really appreciated they allowed our dog to stay and there were no issues with that. Great property!

Really enjoyed our stay. Cabin was bigger than we expected and gave us enough room to not feel cramped. Our dog gets anxious when we travel now due to age and declining eye sight but he was very comfortable there. Quiet neighborhood..enjoyed the front porch

Peaceful and resting...

This was one of the best places we could have stayed at. We just got a puppy and this was the place to go. Plenty of room for the pup to play and do her business! The place is in a long term camp ground with limited sights (18). Everyone is respectful, friendly and quiet. Adult mix young and old and even some adolescents. If you're more into the party, louder type group, this isn't for you! I will say when we first arrived, the look on ly wife's face was priceless! Her expression was...what did you get us into! After we parked and entered, she was as happy as a kid in a candy store! She's never seen a place like this and... she absolutely loves it! She even said she wished we could stay a few days longer. - returning is definitely on the bucket list! Basically, it's like a campsite host house converted into a guest house! Perfect for a couple, solo or small family. Almost in the middle of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg... 2 issues we had... laundry and the road. Laundry was used by the same people each day we stayed (1st come basis) but it would have been nice to do a load before we left. And "Old Birds Creek Rd"... wow! Switch backs and hills you can't see over...quite the scary ride in the dark! ☆ suggest 454 (highway/road) if possible. But these are by no means any reason to pass this place up. To the house... there is a nice bedroom with attached bathroom with shower, "family room" with pullout sleeper bed and sink also with own shower/toilet. And a full kitchen. ☆ suggest stopping at market and at least pick a few items that you would like for breakfast - eat before you leave in morning for regular shopping... especially nice if you have a pet. Although many places allow a dog inside (well behaved are welcome)..some places don't allow pets. Over-all great place to stay and see the great smokey mountains and relax "in nature" rather than the typical motel/hotel. Thanks much for allowing us to stay. Hopefully we can return!

Hummingbird Cabin

This was a cozy little cabin that fit all of our needs! Nice size bedroom with queen bed. The living room area was a tad bit small, but very comfy! Kitchen was stocked with what we needed to cook, however the website mentioned having a drip style coffee maker as well as a Keurig. We took supplies for the Keurig, but there was only the drip style so we had to go buy supplies for that. But overall it was a great little place that we would visit again!

Great Weekend Cabin

The cabins view wasn't great since it was in a long term rental lot but if you plan on spending most of your trip in Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge/Dollywood then who cares about the view! Cabin was dog friendly and the neighbors were so quiet we didn't notice them much! The power went out while we were away and the manager answered our calls even though it was 10:30pm her time! Would absolutely recommend.

We had a great stay this weekend for my daughters dance nationals. Everything was just as in the listing. Renee and Shelley were excellent to work with. When my daughter made the finals, they worked with me to be able to stay, since we had our 150 lb Great Dane with us. We will definitely stay again!

Nice Cabin, easy check-in

The cabin has a lot more space and is even nicer than the pictures make it look. The location is fine as far as proximity to attractions, however, I didn’t realize it would be in an RV park next to the highway. As long as you’re okay with that, it’s an excellent place to stay. Our toddler has a blast, and our two dogs were very comfortable staying there while we were out. My husband and I came back well-rested and satisfied with our stay.

Cozy and convenient cabin

We really enjoyed our time at the cabin. The property is well-kept and so convenient to all the sights in the area. We appreciated the way the cabin was set up and it was perfect for our toddler to explore without us having to helicopter parent him the whole time. The campground is pretty laid back and we didn't interact too much with any of the campers, but overall it was a quiet place to hang after a day out, especially on the wonderful porch. Highly recommend!

Why they chose this property

Scenic location at Birds Creek Campground, located in a Holler with pretty hillside and a creek running at the north side of the property. There's a lovely meadow in the middle of the campground's loop road. The meadow is a great place for kids to play, and to walk your dogs.
