Cabin was a welcome surprise for a quick getaway, when looking for an option other than hotels. It is located off the beaten path, and we enjoyed the view of the river each morning! There are no TV's, but the wifi worked great for those that need sound on while sleeping. A welcome return when we travel to this area again!
Loved the style. Very clean. Great views of the trees and river. Easy path down to the river and listening to the water was very relaxing. Communication with Sarah was fabulous. Note that the “Unplugged” reference in the description means NO TV. Great options for a cozy outside fire with 3 pits.
Lots of coffee and other amenities. Super comfy beds.
Wished for wine glasses and a thermal cup to carry my coffee down to the river. Just a suggestion.
It was a nice and romantic weekend for my birthday weekend. Thanks!!!!
What a lovely cabin, on a perfect setting! Everything was beyond our expectations. Sarah was a great host and made sure everything was in order. We've stayed at numerous VRBOs over the years but none of them were as clean and as well supplied as this one... not even close! You can tell a lot of thought and care work was put into all of the updates to this cabin.
It was a soggy four days... but it didn't bother us in the least. We brought our bikes and rode the "rails to trails" bike trail for miles. The river, scenery and fall colors were beautiful. There's plenty to do to keep you busy in the area... but if you prefer doing nothing this is a great place to put everything behind you and simply relax! (we were able to do some of that as well)
We're planning on a return trip (or two) next year. Hope to bring a fly rod in the spring. Between the Muskegon river literally out the front door... and the Pierre Marquette a half hour away, there's plenty of water to be fished.
Sarah, thank you so much! We'll be back. Four days was not nearly enough time.
