About this property

Whiskey Hill Cabin on Rio Grande National Forest

Welcome to Whiskey Hill Cabin - brand new to VRBO in 2022! This sweet mountain home sits on 5 acres, bordering the Rio Grande National Forest, and is also a short drive (less than 2 minutes!) to public access to the Rio Grande River, famous for fly fishing. The property is 15 minutes outside of charming, historic Creede, Colorado - home to an extremely adorable downtown with great options for dining and shopping, as well as the famous Creede Repertory Theatre! You'll be extra comfortable in this roomy 2 bedroom (+ loft!), 2 bath cabin (each bedroom with king-sized beds!) and a fun, spacious loft that has two trundle twin beds, a large bathroom and plenty of games for the young ones, and those young at heart! Also, the kitchen is fully stocked with anything the home chef would need to cook a great meal and to entertain friends and loved ones. Dining table sits 8, plus there is a counter with 4 barstools for extra seating. Large flat-screen TV and high-speed WiFi. One of the best features at Whiskey Hill is the deck (both covered and uncovered) to sit and enjoy your morning coffee and evening beverage with calming views of the mountain sunsets and dense forest. In summer, the hummingbirds are sure to entertain you! In the fall, you'll be surrounded by colorful Aspen groves. The views of the La Garitas and Bristol Head can't be beat and a short walk up the hill after dinner offers the best sunset views around. Fishing, hunting, hiking, off-roading are Creede essentials. Experience the best of Creede for yourself at Whiskey Hill Cabin.

Wonderful Cabin in Creede

The cabin is beautiful, spacious and very clean. The beds, linens and towels were all very nice. The kitchen was well stocked. We were very comfortable. There were many thoughtful touches around the cabin that made our stay special.

Beautiful, clean, secluded cabin with everything you need!

Glenn and Kim made the reservation, check in, and check out seamless. Cabin is exactly as described, located few miles outside of Creede which is a great little town with everything you need. We wanted a nice, secluded spot to unwind and relax after hitting the slopes at Wolf Creek and this cabin delivered. Beds are comfortable, plenty of soft bedding and towels, well stocked, clean, and amazing views of the mountains. Wood burning stove was cozy and easy to operate. We would definitely rent again!

Whiskey Hill ~ Met the Bill +++

Whiskey Hill Cabin had 99% of anything we needed for cooking/relaxing/etc. GREAT, comfortable king beds, a variety of pillows and soft linens made us sleep well. The CLEAN cabin was so welcoming, open and functional. The kitchen had a variety of condiments/spices/pots/pans/dishes, etc. Very comfortable sofas, decks, super nice rain shower heads and so much more. Location was the perfect private get away. We'd highly recommend the Whiskey Hill Cabin ~ it will exceed your expectations. Thanks so much, Kim!!!

Super clean and comfortable! Great host!

This property is awesome. The host keeps it well maintained and clean. Both king beds on the main level have memory foam mattresses that are super comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you’d need to cook a meal. The great room has comfy sofas and a nice big screen TV with access to most streaming services. Internet speeds were roughly 30mbps down / 5mbps up which was more than adequate. We saw a group of deer every day that bedded down just below the driveway. The views out the huge picture windows were amazing. We were able to drive our ATVs right out of the driveway and access some nice forest roads and trails to the south. Also, there is plentiful public river access to the Rio within a 2min drive if you have a high clearance vehicle and want to chase some trout. The only thing to note is that there is not enough room in the driveway to turn around if you have a large trailer. We ended up having to back our trailer up the long driveway, but it was no big deal since the bends in the road are gentle. The cabin was so awesome we didn’t mind having to back up our trailer each day :)
