About this property

Tranquil “Bahama Oasis” cabin on Lake Goodwin. All exterior amenities described are for the exclusive use of our Guests. New hot tub, propane fire pit table, & propane BBQ overlooking the Lake with unobstructed sunset views.
Watch the Eagles fish, & the Otters play. The Cabin is very relaxing with water views out of every window. Double doors lead out onto a catwalk to the elevated boat deck with diving board. (10ft depth at high water season).
A large rotating umbrella can cover the hot tub or the fire pit table. Inside the cabin, there is a propane fireplace for cozy evenings. 5.1 surround sound home theater in the front room with large smart TV. Also, another large smart TV w/Roku in the bedroom. Hide a bed in the front room. The kitchen offers a combination Pod/Drip coffee machine, microwave, small oven / stove, air-fryer & full-size refrigerator w/ice. The bathroom has a deep jetted tub! This lake has year around fishing & is a great recreational lake in the summer with skiing, wakeboarding, swimming. Available for use…. 2 kayaks & 2 stand up paddle boards. Life jackets are also provided. If you want to bring your Fishing / Ski boat, there is ample room to park your trailer & moore your boat on the finger pier next to the cabin. Just down the road, there is a very easy to use boat launch @ Weinberg County Park. There are two well-lit easy access level parking spaces provided. If you are bringing a boat a boat trailer, we can accommodate that as well with advance notice. We provide self-check-in. Before arrival, you will be given a unique access code to input into the front door lock.
There is a welcome guide in the cabin listing various information about the cabin, the amenities, the lake, & the surrounding area.
If you want to get out & explore a little.... Kayak Point on the Puget Sound is just a 10-minute drive West. Camano Island & the beautiful Skagit Valley is Just to the North. The Tulalip Casino, & Seattle Outlet mall is just down the hill.
Your space is your space. We live next door & are happy to answer any questions, but we will respect your privacy and leave you alone if you choose.

It was a beautiful, peaceful place. There was a picturesque deck that opened onto a dock. If the weather had been better, we would have loved to try out the kayaks.

Wonderful and relaxing

We haf a very wonderful and relaxing stay. The only upgrade i can mention. Is the bed is dated and should be upgraded to a pillowtop with no springs. It was uncomfortable and felt old and used. Other than that this is an amazing place and we look forward to seeing it again.

Great Getaway Cabin

It was a really nice cabin with a beautiful lake view. We spent our weekend there and loved every second of it. We especially liked the hot tub. The best thing about the cabin is that it is so close to Seattle and other fun things to do. We would rent here again! Also we loved Henry the dog!

Beautiful lakeside cabin

It was exactly as advertised. Everything is well-maintained and clean. We spent time just admiring the view from the deck and from the hot-tub. We enjoyed the use of the kayak and paddle board. The hosts are very nice and provided us our privacy as well. We enjoyed every moment!

impeccably designed, furnished and cleaned. All furniture, appliances and utensils first-rate. Loved the owner's dog Hank. Beautiful multi-level deck with hot tub and fire-pit. Kayaks, paddle boards and water toys provided. A few problems (refrigerator, hot water, neighbors wind chimes) were resolved in a timely manner by the owner. It should be noted that a steep set of stairs (25 steps) must be used to get luggage, etc into/out the waterfront bungalow.

Incredible

So much better then we expected! The photos don’t do it Justice. Wayne was extremely nice and accommodating. It was our honeymoon, and they left us sparkling wine and some snacks which was a very nice touch. Hot tubs clean, bed is comfortable, paddle boards and kayaks work great. The tvs are a little outdated, but who cares! Phenomenal experience here.

Lovely stay on the water

I was looking for a place on the water for a local getaway, and this was the perfect spot. I got to lay in the sun, go paddle boarding (the water was the perfect temp), use the hot tub every night, and watch beautiful sunsets. A big plus for me was the adorable golden retriever, Hank! He was so sweet and made me so happy. But if you’re not a dog person, you can keep the gate closed. I loved the landscaping and flowers around the property. You can tell they put a lot of care into this space. Nanette and Wayne were lovely and made me feel very welcomed. I would love to come back and have a couple friends spend the day with me!

Wonderful Stay

Lovely view, so relaxing and everything was as described. A lot of care has been put into every detail. Nanette and Wayne are very friendly and kind but also give you privacy. Super nice people. I’d like to come back and stay longer!

Everything we hope for and more!

Super cool place to stay. Right on the lake just as their pictures showed. The living space was comfortable and cozy. A good lay out. It actually is a bigger space then we thought it would be as you include the outdoor living space. The french doors open up to a large deck with very comfortable patio furniture. The second level dock has chase lounges to soak in the sun, the side deck has a propane fire place/table and a hot tub with an amazing deck umbrellas for shade and privacy. We took advantage of them everyday, including watching the beautiful sunsets every evening from the hot tub and/or fireplace. We also spend time on the water with their 2 kayaks (they have paddle boards, floating tubes and life jackets as well). Also they had a wonderfully stocked kitchen with everything you would need and a large refrigerator. We prepared dinner for every night we were there with ease. An absolute return stay is a must! Nanette and Wayne were awesome Hosts! And a shout out to Hank (their dog)

A return to summer camp

If you don't like sitting a dock above the water in a hot tub while boats pass in the lake below, then this place is not for you. If you do then you can't go wrong. It's perfect for a couple needing some time alone

Stunning!

This place is beautiful and oh so peaceful. It is everything listed and more. My husband and I enjoyed our stay so much. Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer. Romantic, serene, private getaway steps from the lake. The hot tub and fire pit were added bonuses!

Amazing Experience!

This property is a little piece of heaven! As fantastic as the pics are, it’s even better in person! We spent our days on the deck lounging by the lake, swimming and hot tubbing. The BBQ grill was perfect and the kitchen had everything we needed and then some. Wayne was so kind and helpful!

Peaceful Retreat!

We loved the still waters, ducks quacking, and much more at this cabin on the lake. The view across the water is so peaceful and pretty. We would have loved to have had more time to soak it up.

Perfectly cozy home at a beautiful location

Wayne & Nanette were awesome hosts! Wonderful little home with beautiful views right on Lake Goodwin. Endless ducks swimming about, and we even saw a bald eagle. Perfect for just the two of us, to get away for a coupe days. The location was great! Close enough to shop at the nearby outlet stores, with endless restaurants to choose from. The home was clean and stocked. The espresso machine was a nice bonus, as was the surround sound system. I did have to work for a little bit - WiFi was fast and reliable. The lake view hot tub on the back deck was inviting, but the weather did not cooperate for us to use it. :-( It was February, so we were not expecting great weather. We managed to pick a weekend that had a pretty decent sized wind storm that lasted our entire final night. We actually found the sounds of the sloshing water to be quite relaxing! :-) However, the only available (mandatory) place to park is under some trees. Consequently, our brand new car did suffer from a dent from a fallen branch, due to the wind storm. :'-( Collateral damage due to some bad luck, I guess. As nice as it was during a grey Feb winter, I can imagine how beautiful it would be to visit in the Spring/Summer. We highly recommend you book your stay here, should you find yourself in the Stanwood/Marysville area. You won't be disappointed!

Perfect in every way!

If you see this listing and review, do not scroll to other properties and book this one! Our stay was amazing and relaxing. Even though we booked on a rainy winter week it was ok because we just sat near the fireplace and enjoyed the perfect view. The cabin was very clean and comfortable and had great internet and tv/movie options. My son really enjoyed the hot tub. The hosts are very friendly and Hank the ambassador dog was just icing on the cake. We even had fresh milk for hot cocoa waiting on us. We will definitely be back here again!!!

50th Birthday weekend (Nov. 2022)

We came here for my 50th Birthday weekend. Wayne & Nanette made it extra special with a Birthday greeting and treat for me in the fridge. It’s not far from Tulalip Casino. At the lake cabin we enjoyed the very large tv and great sound system for music inside, the fire pit, hot tub and views. The place is cozy, clean, modern, with higher quality items for use. Paradise found!

We loved our stay at the cabin! We booked this stay as a end cap to a 10 day driving vacation and knew we’d want a few days to vacation from our vacation before heading back home. It was clean, comfortable, cute…everything we could have asked for. We knew we were in the right place when we arrived and “Hank” gave us a warm welcome and showed us the way to the cabin! The quiet of the lake was so relaxing. Close enough to towns to go sight seeing and/or shopping. Hot tub was excellent in the evenings for star gazing. We would love to come back when warmer weather and partake in lake activities!!

Wonderful getaway on the lake

The property is just as it appears in the listing. The lake is crystal clear. There are kayaks and paddleboards for your enjoyment. The sunsets are breathtaking. Wayne and Nanette are very responsive and have the place set up nicely for a relaxing stay. Sitting in the hot tub on the deck watching the sun set and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere was just what the doctor ordered. We look forward to or next stay!

Beautiful lake

This was such a great spot! The lake is super clean…great for paddle boarding and kayaking. We caught fish right of the dock. The sunsets were spectacular! The host was very kind and welcoming! Great spot…we hope to go back in the future.

Living Outside!

The cabin was very cute, comfortable and every available space was cleverly used. The outdoor space was amazing and we lived outdoors as much as possible. I grew up camping in the nearby County park and it was fun to come back & experience the lake as an adult. Thank you Wayne & Nanette, we enjoyed our stay:)!

Nanette & Wayne are native Washingtonians & have always enjoyed all the different outdoor activities the Pacific NW has to offer. Some of Nanette's passions are decorating & gardening. Wayne's passions are Water skiing, Snowboarding, & riding motorcycles.
This area has fulfilled our passions perfectly.

Why they chose this property

We moved to Lake Goodwin in 1989. We Raised two kids & countless dogs, & cats. We have moved on to playing with the Grandkids now!
We lived in this Cabin for 5 years while we were building our other house & just loved it.

What makes this property unique

The proximity of the cabin to the lake is unique in that you almost feel like you are in the lake while looking out from inside. You can fish right from the deck.
Here you get the best of both worlds. In the winter, & cooler months you get the peaceful tranquility of the lake, it is such a peaceful sound just hearing nothing but the waves lapping along the shoreline. Watching the beautiful sunsets.
In the summer months you can enjoy all of the fun activities this lake has to offer. Paddle boarding, Kayaking, Swimming, Waterskiing, Wake boarding, Tubing, or just sitting on the deck watching the world go by.
If you have a boat. Bring it along. With advance notice we can provide boat moorage, & trailer parking.
