Don’t just walk RUN FROM THIS MOLD INFESTED NIGHTMARE!
Buyer beware! This home is in complete disrepair and infested with MOLD. The owner is in complete denial, lives five hours away and did nothing to help myself or two small children. Two hurricanes and not one caretaker to come and help secure the home. The propane stove was leaking and BLEW UP, I have video of all of this and Suburban propane came and red tagged it. We all were sick from the mold so I called a mold remediation company and they had to bring in air purifiers, dehumidifiers and the mold test came back TOXIC downstairs. The owner Ken belittled and abused me the entire time refusing to accept that his home is deteriorating. The water damage and spalling is so bad the mold is everywhere! He refused to give me a refund after paying $11,000 and we had no choice but to clean it the best we could and wait out the departure. I called VRBO daily and they haven’t done anything to alleviate the outlay of cash this cost us to remediate all of the mold from our belongings. This was the worst vacation EVER! This home needs to be completely gutted down the the bones and a new AC ventilation system put in. The house has air pouring in from every slider and the humidity was at 85-90% there was no way to control the AC. Beautiful views, ok neighborhood but the owner is AWFUL and I tried to be so nice in the beginning as I am a vacation owner as well. VRBO has suspended this listing for dangerous and unsanitary conditions.Please save yourself and your family the heartache and RUN!
