About this property

This is the master bedroom of single family home. Located on the border of Montecito and Santa Barbara. You will have your own entrance. And a locking sliding glass door to the room. All the sites and action of Santa Barbara are with in 20 minutes. With wine country of the Santa Ynez Valley about 45 minutes away. There is a full service grocery store 1 mile away. As well as a small corner store 1 block away. The beach is 5 minutes and downtown about 10 minutes away. There is a bus stop for your MTD public transportation system also 1 block away. I have turned the space into a oasis with plants in the enclosed private patio bedroom and bathroom.

Gabriel was AWESOME.

Gabriel is Super friendly and the place is Awesome and Only 3 minutes from theBeach and Famous State street

My handicapped sister and I were visiting and requested confirmation regarding arrival. Telephone call sent 4 days before, unreturned. Email sent unreturned. Etc. On way to property, despite confirmation that reservation was confirmed, we were worried that VRBO cancelled our reservation without telling us. After several additional attempts to contact agent, only received information in regards to arrival 2 hours before check in. That was disappointing; also disappointing was that continued requests for help with connection to cable television were ignored. We were never able to utilize television. Would not stay there again.

Great Location

Our stay at Gabe’s rental was in a great and quiet neighborhood and downtown was only a 5 minute drive. Communication and check-in was easy and Gabe was flexible and we were able to check in early. The king sized bed was super comfortable. We would definitely stay there again.

The map location is very incorrect

Do not rent from this owner unless you don't care where you are staying. The map location, pin, and provided directions are all incorrect. The address that is revealed after you actually book the property is a 1hr walk away from where it shows on the map. The owner knows this is incorrect and is doing nothing to fix it and is refusing to give me a refund for the misleading post. I specifically booked this place due to the listing showing it within walking distance of the place I was visiting.

The experience overall was terrible. We originally booked the place for a Fri and Sat night stay. We contacted the host, Gabe, to include Thu night as well. He blocked the extra night for us, but when we showed up on Thursday (at 11:20PM), the room was not ready. He gave us a different place to stay, but it required us to carry all of our stuff back to the car and go to the new place a block away when it was extremely cold and dark. When we got to the new place, the key was not in the lockbox as he had said, so we had to wait for him to come over to open the place for us. In the end, we did not check in until after midnight. The property itself was clean, but there were some big issues: 1) There was a gas furnace in the unit that wasn't working, so it was extremely cold the first night. The second day, even during the daytime, the apartment was so cold that we were shivering. After we couldn't stand the cold, we decided to ask him if he can fix the furnace but he offered to bring us a space heater. It certainly helped, but even at max setting, it was still a bit cold. 2) The WiFi was not set up when we arrived, but he did take care of it the next day only after we had mentioned it to him. 3) The bedroom and living room was only dimly lit as each only had a portable light. It was manageable during the day, but we had to use our cellphone light at night. Although he was responsive to our texts and brought us things that we asked for, it was not "paradise" as described.

Very close to the freeway and Beach

I like that many attractions were nearby my stay. The weather was beautiful and I couldn’t ask for anything more. My host was tentative and very cool. My room had Wi-Fi and I was able to work from there. The speed was fast and I was very satisfied. Overall it was a great stay and I would gladly stay there again. I was there for a wedding and I didn’t have to Uber too far to get there. Santa Barbara treated me good and so did my host, thanks Gabe.
