## Emplacement
Giberville is a town located in the Basse-Normandie in the department of Calvados. It enjoys an attractive location. A few minutes from Caen, the regional capital and the sea, 2 hours from Paris by train and 45 minutes from Deauville by car!
Giberville is very proud of its «green lung», the Grondin marsh, around which walks are pleasant and the educational farm of Amélie offers an activity oriented to nature, The ponies, the farm animals. A communal lodge has been created on the site.
There is no historical monument in Giberville, but a basement that contains many vestiges of the Merovingian period, some of which are visible in the Normandy museum. Indeed, Giberville in 750 was called Gibertus after the name of a great landowner of Merovingian origin.

Giberville is a flowery and quiet town. Many locals enjoy this little corner of serenity yet so close to the regional capital Caen and the Mondeville 2 shopping center.
