The Helles Manor

The Hellès Manor dates back to the 12th to 16th century. It sits on 1.5 hectares of land, and is situated 3 km from the beaches, close to Locquirec and many shops, bars, restaurants, 20 minutes from Morlaix (TGV station) and 45 minutes from Brest (airport).

The property offers four spacious and contemporary furnished bedrooms with three bathrooms, as well as a large shared and equipped kitchen on the ground floor of the Guard tower.

The porch and the crenellated wall date back to 1515. It is very likely that the manor was built on the ruins of a Gallo-Roman farm. We also see traces of the old feudal mound (wooden castle) in the field where the old vegetable garden is located.

Part of the property is still under renovation, in particular the main house. We have already renovated the guard tower where the kitchen is located as well as an old barn. The renovations are carried out in strict compliance with the heritage character of the site.

The property is organized around a vast courtyard surrounded by walls, calm and protected where the first evenings organized by the founders of the old plows were held. Much remains to be done to develop the land which includes an orchard, a large field and the old vegetable garden. Many animals travel through it or live there on a regular basis - owls, a cat and her young, a wild rabbit, sometimes a deer.

The proposed price includes cleaning on arrival and departure and once a week for stays of more than seven nights, linen (sheets and towels), toiletries (shampoo, shower gel), coffee and tea as well as kitchen utensils and basic cooking products (oil, salt, pepper etc.). A washing machine and dryer are at your disposal. The kitchen is equipped with a gas piano, fridge, microwave, coffee machine, toaster, kettle, etc. We can offer you breakfast on request.

We welcome children up to two years old free of charge and will provide you with children's sleeping equipment. However, the courtyard is not completely safe for young children, so you should be careful and keep an eye on them.

We will endeavor to accommodate people with reduced mobility, knowing that the property is not yet specifically adapted. It is possible to access directly in front of the ground floor rooms by car (taking care when driving) for people with reduced mobility.

All animals are accepted with a small supplement. Vaping is permitted on the property and smoking outside. The wifi works quite well (apart from storms) and all rooms have a desk for one person to facilitate teleworking.

In general, we will seek to satisfy your requests as far as possible.

Free, private parking is available. On request, we can pick you up from the station or airport or from a nearby location (e.g. GR24). We can also provide a vehicle (a BMW X3 or a BMW Z3 convertible) for the duration of your stay.

We are on site and will be in contact with you for your arrival and departure and will be at your disposal for the duration of your stay. We will do our best to answer all your questions before your arrival.

We can offer you breakfast if you wish (optional) and we will be happy to have a drink with you if you want, or to let you enjoy your vacation in peace if that is your preference.

Word are still underway on other parts of the property, so workers may be working there during the day on weekdays.
