Lovely well stocked house.

Family of 6 we stayed 3 nights. The cabin was very well appointed, we enjoyed the piano and pool table. The beds were very comfortable and the fire pit on the back porch was a nice touch. Melissa was very responsive and and we highly recommend her house. We had a deer in the front yard the first morning , It was a treat

Wonderful stay!

The property was great and had all we needed during our stay minus the groceries we brought with us. The views are great! The hot tub was relaxing. The pool table and games kept the kids entertained. The host was always quick to answer our questions when asked! A++ We definitely plan on another trip when we get the chance!

Baseball Tournament with resort

Second summer here in Big Canoe for a baseball tournament. With one game a day we are able to enjoy all the amenities at Big Canoe. We Enjoyed the beautiful golf course and the beach area. It was nice to create memories with the boys outside of the field….this is what we will remember, not the wins or losses. The house was clean and comfortable and large enough for us all to spread out. We will be back!

Great getaway

Beautiful community. The house was clean and had everything we needed to feel at home. Gorgeous view and great privacy. Really enjoyed the clubhouse restaurant and even enjoyed the local vineyards. Most of all, the service and communication upon checkin and out was the best I’ve ever seen. I will 100% be making this a yearly getaway spot. A must go destination for couples or families!!!

Great Place, Love Big Canoe

Nice place that accommodated 2 families. Separate game room off from the kitchen and living rooms was nice. Kids could play and make noise without bothering the adults. It had everything we needed. Host was also very accommodating and quick with any requests.

Summer trip to the mountains

We loved our stay at the Willow House. With the pool table, ping pong table, fire pits, grill, and hot tub we almost didn’t want to leave the house. But we did get to go down the rock slide, ride on a paddle bot, canoe, and enjoy all that Big Canoe has to offer. Would recommend anyone to stay at Willow House.

Wonderful Spot

We have stayed at Big Canoe 3 times now in the past year as we just love the community and the location. This house allowed our family to have plenty of room to stretch out. The homeowner was very helpful and responsive. Our biggest concern with Big Canoe is making sure we can handle the drive to the property and the actual driveway-- we are Floridian's and some of these road are very tricky! The access to this home is great and the circular driveway was fantastic! Loved the indoor and outdoor firepits and the quietness of the location. It was fantastic that there were things already here for our use-- coffee, spices, paper products etc that most places don't normally include. Thank you for having us, I am positive we will be back!

Family Christmas Vacation

Melissa, our host, was wonderful from the moment I inquired about the property through the entirety of our stay at the rental. She is extremely prompt in responding to all communications and resolving any issues that arise (though nothing serious did). The property itself is spacious and perfect for a large group of various ages, as we had family members ranging from 1 to 70 years old. Our furry friends were also in heaven in this pet friendly property! The house was well stocked with everything you might need and had a lot to keep the kids and parents entertained (hot tub, game room, fire pit, etc). Located in the beautiful Big Canoe resort, we were minutes from hikes through hills and lake/creek areas that were fun for all ages! We also were just a short drive away from Dawsonville and less than an hour from Dahlonega - we were able to visit both during our 6 day stay. Thank you, Melissa, for making our stay extra special!

Beautiful location

Interesting location as I had to use my GPS to find the home each time I left. I loved this area. Great views. The home had a nice area my daughter could watch a loud movie and we adults could have a reasonable conversation in the adjacent living room. The downstairs bedroom was nice to isolate ourselves and not have to wake others as we left the house early. Nice steep roads to walk around. We used the neighborhood hiking trails as well. Clubhouse has good food and drinks and the view here was lovely as well. Keep in mind wood fireplaces come with the odor of burning wood. These would have been lovely in the winter, but not needed during our visit.

Lots to do at Big Canoe

Enjoyed our abbreviated Spring Break in Big Canoe. Plenty of room for 2 families at this house (we were 4 adults, 3 teens and 1 dog). We swam at the indoor pool at the Wellness Center, brought spike ball down to the Beach Club (which was kind of closed for renovations), ate at the Black Bear Pub at the Clubhouse (twice - good food), rented a pontoon boat at the marina (electric motors only, slow but good enough for fishing), went over to Dahlonega (25 minutes away) and raced go karts and had lunch at an Shenanigans Irish Pub there. At the house we played pool and sat in the hot tub every day, watched the Final Four on the big screen in the indoor/outdoor hot tub room, and had a real fire in the fireplace every night. The adults enjoyed having a cocktail by the fire table on the back deck, and the kids hooked their xbox up to the big screen in the pool room (we saw it would rain several days, so we allowed them to bring). Host is very responsive. Love that they had firewood for us to use and that they have multiple spare gas tanks in the basement in case the 2 fire pits or the gas grill runs out. Big Canoe is a mountain community - some steep roads with sharp turns, but is super quiet and very well kept.

Not clean at all.

Will start with the smell of dog urine in the hallway to the game room. Pool table balls were sticky. All but one adult pool stick were broken. Sticky spots through out the living area. Killed a roach in the kitchen on our first night. Found eye contacts on the bedroom floor. Tells me the bedroom floor was not cleaned. Seen a bra padding under bathroom counter. Guess that floor wasn't cleaned either. Master shower/tub has a black growth around the silicone. The amount of light bulbs that were out was ridiculous. Fire pit at ground level didn't work. Had to go into town to buy a wrench to turn on all the hottub jets, due to missing knob. It's a shame that the cleaning crew is not doing their job. And that so many things didn't work, didn't work properly or was broke. This could be a awesome place to stay.

Relaxing fall break

We stayed at this property for our fall break and had a wonderful time. The host was very organized and sent all the details in advance. The home was very clean and details were well thought out. Our 7 year old and 10 year old loved the bunk room! We spent a lot of time around both firepits and made s’mores one night. We also really enjoyed the hammock and game room. During the day we hiked, visited a pumpkin patch, apple orchard, and winery. All in all, it was a very enjoyable stay and recommend this property!

Big Canoe Adventure

This beautiful property is perfect for a visit to the huge, master-planned community. Stocked with everything you need, the place felt like home. Very clean. Plenty of room to spread out and relax. Easy check-in process. Communication is friendly and fast. Full of nature, the surrounding neighborhood is peaceful and quiet. Big Canoe has some great hiking trails. The fishing in Lake Petit is superb. Nice sized rainbow trout swimming around. Food in the community restaurants is tasty. More options and a grocery store just a short drive away. Friendly folks everywhere in Big Canoe. Definitely glad I stayed here.
