It was clean and convenient and reasonable for what we were trying to do this weekend. We were trying to go to the derby and the hotels are so expensive and we found this and we felt very lucky.
This is a cool loft. Great spot in downtown area. Easy access to sites and all the locations we needed to get to.
The place was clean and delightful.
The building and the area, surprisingly quiet. I expected more street noise; our stay was Thurs to Monday. The building is part businesses and part residential, this could have added to the peaceful tone of the building.
It's industrial and cool.
The owner was quickly responsive to questions and proactive communication. He went out of his way to make our stay enjoyable.
Great place. If I'm in Louisville again, this would be at the top of my list.
Only thing I struggled with was check in. It would have been easier earlier in the day, unfortunately with my flight, I arrived at midnight and it was raining. Trying to locate the lockbox, I didn't realize it was a touch screen. Once this was discovered, the instructions were spot on. I'm old school so it took me a bit to figure that out. Clunky start but very minor compared to the perks of the place.
We loved our stay! Conveniently located in the heart of Louisville. Everything we needed was right at our fingertips. The property was clean & quiet. The property owner was great to work with and easy to get ahold of with any questions!
I came to Louisville with my two adult children to do part of the Bourbon Trail - we wanted a place to stay in downtown Louisville that had three real beds (no futons or sofa sleepers). This place provided that - a few block walk to the Louisville Slugger Museum and Evan Williams Distillery and 3 comfortable beds. There is also free parking if you are willing to park on a side street a few blocks away from the VRBO.
So for location and beds this is a 5 star, however there are some other aspects of which you should be aware that may or may not be an issue to you.
To get the key you need to go to a drop box in the back of the building that can only be accessed via the rear alley. If you arrive in daylight this is no big deal, but if you come at night it is poorly lit and probably not the best situation for a single female.
The kitchen is not well furnished which is no issue if you plan to eat out and there are a lot of great restaurants in Louisville.. However if you plan to cook, at the time of our rental there was only on pan and a baking sheet, no pots, one very small mixing bowl and no cutting board. The owner told me some of these shortfalls are being corrected, but you might want to ask him before renting if this is an issue for you.
The only other potential issue is if you are a light sleeper bothered by light. The windows are only partially covered by drapes. The top four or five feet have drapes but the bottom two or three feet have only sheers so the downtown lights come streaming in at night. If this is an issue for you I would encourage you to ask the owner as he is responsive and wants you to have a good stay.
We had a great time and enjoyed this VRBO.
Great time! Very clean! Parking on street had time restrictions (not owners fault)! Would stay again in that locale as we learned garages. Very interesting building! Glass artists were so nice. I definitely recommend
Had an awesome 4th of July weekend at Alberts place! The place was really nice. Had everything we needed and very comfortable. Right around the corner from the Sluggers Museum. Close to so many other things downtown. The wife, kids and I had a blast!
I don’t usually take the time to write online reviews, but our stay at Albert’s property in Louisville was too perfect not to. Between the proximity to downtown and the accommodations provided for our large group, this spacious loft made for a beautiful weekend getaway. We would absolutely return in a heartbeat.
My family and I traveled back home for the Thanksgiving holiday but wanted to stretch out a bit and have our own home base. This was our first time trying Vrbo and the property and our host, Albert, were great. We would definitely do it again.
